Underrated episode among the saddest of criminal minds is “hope” 7x8

It has so many moments that just kill the soul the same way “he was still alive yesterday” did for me. Especially the moment at the end where Garcia’s friend/Monica releases the butterflies at Hopes funeral. Her unwavering determination that her daughter is still alive despite all signs and the danger she is in. Hope taking back what little power she did have to kill herself and end his sick fantasy of starting a family with her. Hopes name being the word hope and looking at it carved into the table she ate at chained everyday. Monica having to experience what hope did for years as he tried to recreate another version of her daughter to molest and “love”. Definitely one of the most devastating episodes in the series. For me at least. Not like they are in short supply lmao, cm loves to torture their characters and the audience.
