did a bit of driving through the state of georgia today and wound up driving through a small town that i later discovered was called newborn, which is an odd name but doesn’t technically have anything wrong with it, except for the fact that i nearly gave myself whiplash doing a double-take at a building sign advertising NEWBORN TAXIDERMY
I've been fed, walked and watered and I've slept enough and been out of the internet and I'm doing crafts.
Why am I still angry.
I walked right into this one like a blind horse into a revolving door.
Ok on a different note though why would a blind horse be anywhere near a revolving door?
Let the historical record show that Mr. Beast was entirely ignorable if you were just like doing literally anything else. I've been on youtube as long as it's been around and I've never been recommended a video by him. I see him in passing as a meme. I thought he was a made up joke, a caricature of bad youtuber content miners until someone I trust confirmed his existence to me in late 2025.
baseball players in the 20s were all named shit like Dipsy Doodle and Crunch Johnson
#they named them like cats in a shelter
Early baseball had a strange issue with unusual player names and poor documentation, to the point that there’s a whole Wikipedia page on unidentified 19th Century baseball players.
So, question to readers: have you ever stopped reading a book because it didn't hook you in the first line/paragraph?
Because that hook is an obsession of writers, writing advicemongers, editors, and publishers, but I'm not actually sure readers are that intolerant of a slow burn?

what i’ve learned in my life is if someone is treating you poorly and youre asking yourself “what magic words can I use to make this person treat me with basic respect,” those words don’t exist and they never will.
Unironically think littering should be punishable by death
Someone asked me a while ago if I still had a photo of the worst sink I had ever seen while apartment hunting in Los Angeles. I assumed I deleted it so I didn't answer the ask and now it's gone, but as it turns out, yes, I do still have a photo of it.
Really obsessed with this exchange
For those curious, they're talking about The Legend of Khiimori.
It’d be cool if we found an alien civilization and they had their own Dracula as well
