So this Christmas, I made a dollhouse for my oldest niece's DC Superhero Girls with the idea that I can add a new room or two each Christmas, Birthday, etc. until I either run out of ideas or she outgrows it.
Anyway, I started with dorm rooms for Supergirl (her favorite) and Batgirl (my favorite). They’re not cartoon/comic replicas, but just inspired by the characters and their personalities.
And I'm kind of pleased with the way Supergirl's galaxy ceiling turns out (the spattered stars even glow in the dark).
So I thought that I would share.
everyone should reblog this with the only personality assessment that matters: your favorite disney princess, favorite color, favorite superhero, and favorite season
Every official Harry Potter source: Hufflepuffs get along best with Gryfindor!
Every Hufflepuff I know, when asked what house they get along best with: Slytherin
@hauntedlittledoll does her best to keep me out or trouble. Though the implication that if she wasn’t sick the advice might be different is hilarious.
Spook: Someday, if you truly love me, you need to read "Dealing with Dragons" by Patricia Wrede. It has a stone man in it. And a princess that reminds me of you.
Cas: Ok
Spook: They don't end up together. It's glorious.
Cas: Lol
She had the confidence of a well organized library and the haunted grace of a moonlit cemetery.
Finally both girls have their flower petal tutus for the Faerie Fest. They love them! #nyfaeriefest #flowerpetal #tutus #kawaii #dressup
Dynamic duo
Spook: Any thoughts on Adam being prickly and magical and prone to rash decisions under pressure?
Tarrina: All of these things exist in canon. And I love them.

@hauntedlittledoll you’re both!
This is not inaccurate.
42, 46, 48
42 - Which was the best book you had to read in school?
I was one of those people that liked most of the books we read for English class. It's actually hard to pick the best one, although I can tell you that The Scarlet Letter was the worst. My classmates actually campaigned that if I couldn't finish the book, they shouldn't have to read it (I did finish it . . . eventually). Hmm . . . I'm going to say the best one (as in the best book that I could have read at that particular time) was Holes by Louis Sachar in the 9th Grade. I was utterly delighted by the three-stories-in-one plot that tied everything so neatly together, and while I've since read other things (better, more-me things) that use the same concept, Holes is where I first encountered such cleverness. The Things They Carried and The House on Mango Street deserve honorable mentions, however. I have a soft spot for story collections and semi-autobiographical works.
46 - What is your favorite thing to drink when you read?
My favorite thing to drink when I read is my favorite thing to drink period. It's coffee. Almost any kind of coffee really. Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of starting coffee and then getting so engrossed in a book that I forget all about said-coffee.
48 - Where is your favorite place to read?
I will read anywhere except in the car. In bed, sitting at the kitchen table, a book hidden under the desk at school, tucked between the narrow shelves in libraries or bookstores, while walking . . . I've done it all.
Hi! I just wanted to say that I love your Raven Cycle fanfic! Your Max AU is my favorite! I saw on the AO3 page for the Nursery Rhyme series that you haven't posted some of the stories listed to the archive. Are they posted online somewhere else? If so, where might that be so I can read them? I need more Max, Ronan, and Adam stories in my life!
I have a rather large number written that are simply in want of further editing, so they haven't been posted yet. But they're part of the timeline and I sometimes reference events from one story in another . . . so I decided to include them in the list.
I will post them as I finish each to my satisfaction. It's just unfortunate that the longer stories take so much longer to edit than the shorter side-stories.
I'm so delighted that you've been enjoying my little guilty pleasure AU and the tiny OC that prompted it. Max-stories are my favorite thing to write.
Honeybee, klosh, sealingwax. (I'm sure you have sent GORGIOUS letters.)
Honeybee - Name something positive you have done for yourself or someone else in the last two weeks.
The most positive thing that I've done for myself recently is to finally repaint my bedroom. The previous occupant had both the walls and ceiling a bright mid-tone blue, which made it feel like a very dark cave when combined with the poor lighting.
But I also picked up a Walking Dead colouring book for one of my best friends to send in some long overdue care packages, because it's way more fun to shop for other people than for yourself, and I like finding things that immediately make me go "Cas!" or "Katter!"
Klosh - If you could go back to any three era's what would they be?
To visit? Wander around and explore and poke my nose in where it may not belong with absolutely no lasting consequences? It's hard to choose just three, but Ancient Egypt (18th or 19th Dynasty please), Victorian London, and parts of the Biblical New Testament would be towards the top of the list for magical time travel exploration.
One of the best things about present day life is that we have all of these amazing places and periods and cultures and people to look back on and speculate about our hypothetical lives if we were born someone, somewhere, some-when else. If I were actually to live in those time periods, I wouldn't know about any of the amazing things to follow.
Sealing Wax - Have you ever received a letter or written one to someone else?
I hate to disappoint you, but I am terrible at letters. Katter will tell you that I am an awful correspondent. I have certainly written plenty of thank you notes, Christmas cards, cover letters, and business correspondence, but the process is very painful. The number of personal missives that I've sent out . . . oh, probably fewer than half a dozen total, and they all read like bulleted paragraph grocery lists. I ramble, and then I become embarrassed about the ramble and I crumple it up and start over. Or forget about it entirely.
And it's sad, because I'm a writer, and people see me writing. They know how much I love to write . . . so they buy me stationary. And journals. Beautiful stationary and journals. Oh my gosh, the sheer number of lovely books that I have filled with terrible fanfiction, songlists, and geometric ninja doodles.
On the other hand, I have a small trunk of letters that Katter has sent me, having kept every single one that she ever wrote. Katter is a devoted correspondent and deserves so much better in return.
