Besides, language around queer identity has changed so much throughout history and is neved the same across all cultures. And it’s going to keep changing. If you can’t accept that, tough luck. You aren’t going to make everybody conform to your idea of acceptable queerness by stomping your feet and throwing tantrums on your discourse blog.

It's silly to me that people from countries with a large immigrant influx get upset when those immigrants start displaying or sharing parts of their culture upon arrival because growing up in a relatively small town in a largely ethnically homogenous country when a Thai woman opened a little stand with Thai food the entire town went into a blackout frenzy for a week at the thought of cuisine that hadn't been in the area for the last 200 years being available was too much for us to handle. I distinctively remember passing by the stall on my way back from school and going berserk at the smell begging for my grandma to get something. I can't imagine thinking that's bad. 'Oh no a bunch of people from other countries are coming to my country and settling' girl just eat the food. A present from the 1300s would kill their children to get the opportunity to taste the foods of 30 countries on a single week just by walking downtown. You're weak and sightless
