do u have any thoughts about elias babytrapping jon?

I'm like torn between the fact that Jon being pregnant, especially with Elias' child, would throw sooooooo many wrenches into Elias' plans for the apocalypse vs the fact that I do think babytrapping is extremely hot.

I think a happy medium would be the pregnancy initially being an accident and Elias going all in on making sure that Jon keeps the pregnancy. I'm talking preying on Jon's desire for a family, guilt tripping, implying that Elias would end their relationship if Jon terminated, and then subtle sabotages every time Jon considers it anyway (Elias inviting him over for dinner on a night when he knows Jon was going to go to an appointment or conveniently being there to talk about how excited he is to be a father when he gets surface thoughts of Jon doubting again), etc. I don't think it would be any real desire to be a parent, at least not at first, but just another way to tie Jon to him. The actual feelings creep up on him later and hit him like a sack of bricks.

There's a really interesting dynamic here where I think Elias would be TERRIFIED of the pregnancy. He grew up in a time of high maternal and infant mortality rates, and even with improved medical care, I think Elias would be haunted by the graves of his siblings and his mother's years spent wasting away, her already poor health worsened by years of pregnancy that mostly resulted in stillbirths or children that died young. Elias is canonly scared of death, it's what drives him on a fundamental level, and I can see him being extremely protective of Jon during the pregnancy and of both him and the baby after the birth.

I can also totally see him babytrapping Jon again, this time on purpose, maybe over and over. Partially because I think he would enjoy being a father (especially if their child ends up a weird little Beholding baby with eyes that See too much) and partially because he likes how dependent Jon gets, how much he depends on Elias to take care of him. It's a sick sort of love, but it's still love.

u can tell if a fic author writing abt a european setting is north american by the way they write abt transportation. a rich person would not fetch someone with their car here. that airport does not cater to international flights the way you think it does. he would not take an uber hed take a fuckass e scooter even if he was drunk out of his mind. u cant drive a car in that part of the city. u need to legally wear a helmet if ur driving a motorcycle here. delay that train by half an hour.
