- Diary Entry 7 -
"Haurchefant and I both booked some time off work for a little bit, just to let ourselves rest and recoup, and just be together with nothing else to think about for abit.
Theia is with her Uncle Aymeric so I'm not worried about her as I know he would protect her with his life, so I'm going to use this precious child/work free time to think about what I want from life and what I need to do to get there, and how I need to be mentally.
That being said, today, Haurchie and I danced like nobody was watching in the hot springs and laughed like how we used to when we were younger, it's been such a long time since I felt so free, I am on the road to feeling like myself again, he's the best, he knows me so well, better than anybody and he always seems to know exactly what I need, without me saying a single word. Today, he made me feel like I was 18 again, he made me feel like his queen... as per usual.
When we were done, he said "Effy darling, we will be trying to tackle your recent issues, rather than run from them. I have much planned. Pray trust me, my love." so I await patiently to find out his plans for me... "

"I keep having this awful reoccurring dream where I am in a really tall area and for some reason I just jump off the edge into the water-"
"I then land in the water and sink to the bottom, unable to reach the surface no matter how hard I try-"
"I drown, every single time. I feel every second of it, there is no peaceful relief in my death, Haurchefant is distraught and pulls my lifeless corpse out of the water-"
"I can still hear him screaming my name at that point..."EFFY! EFFY!" That's when I very suddenly wake up short of breath and sweating and realise he is shouting my name but only because I have kicked him out the bed, whilst also actively clawing at my throat, and screaming the house down.
Haurchie thinks I need some time off work to get my head back to a better place and not be so surrounded by death for a while... maybe he's right..."

"Haurchefant kept bringing up the fact that he wanted Theia to be a water baby, that he was raised by his Father and was taken swimming all the time and she wanted her to experience the same joy in her upbringing. So me, Haurchie and Uncle Aymeric all took a day trip over to Gyr Abania with Theia on our day off to give her her first introduction to water and she took to it so well! Haurchie was in his swimming shorts and was in the water with her before me and Aymeric had even sat down, he was such a proud dad with her, it warmed my heart to see. As always."

"So... today Haurchefant told me that I was a fantastic warrior overall except for when it comes to a sword & shield and that he wanted to train me up. I didn't believe him at first and I even laughed at him but his face was serious, so we took a venture out to the hills of Yanxia for some training and I was immediately humbled. He managed to overpower me in under a minute and had me on my knees with a sword under my neck at his mercy. He said "Really, Effy?" and he smirked at me. We spent the afternoon building up my skills however, I kept forgetting to block and use my shield and Haurchie was getting slightly frustrated with me... he said "I love you too much to lose you to a stupid mistake, Effy. Please!" and after a few more hours, I had managed to weave it into my knowledge, he is so patient with me, the kindest soul, truly.
We will be working on my sword training a few times a week from here on out, until I am able to hold my own in battle."

"I had such a nice time catching up with the twins today! They're still up to no good, obviously... hehe! Life has been so hectic recently, I've missed them so, but it made our reunion all the better! I promised them it wouldn't be as long until we next seen each other, I'm determined to keep my word!
P.S - In other news, I'm booked in to get my haircut and a new piercing tomorrow, I can't wait! Haurchefant is going to go with me so that I have company in the salon, eeeek!"

"Haurchie was adamant that this was happening today, (apparently, he was a Unicorn wrangler in his teens? what i would give to have seen that!!) but he knows I have an abnormal fear of Unicorns... as he mounted he turned to me, extended his hand and said "Come on, the only way to beat your fear is to face it! You are the mighty Warrior of Light, surely you will not let a simple Unicorn best you?" I remember looking up at him and thinking "What I wouldn't do for this man..." and before I knew it, I was on a unicorn??? How does he have such power over my mind? It's scary! Nevertheless, I love him so very much. Anyways, despite being absolutely terrified, I had a great time. Not something I'm in a rush to do again soon though, if I can help it."

"Last night I nonchalantly confessed in conversation to Haurchefant that I had never seen an Amaro up close, despite desperately wanting to as I'm absolutely in love with them, so of course, Haurchefant being Haurchefant, surprised me by taking me to the Crystarium today so that i could. My goodness it was better than I could have ever imagined and I will never forget it. He was so cute...and so was the Amaro hehe."
