Been thinking about heart monitors lately and those apps that help track someone's heart beats

Like the ones that alert you when your heart has beating too fast or irregularly

I imagine Dean getting one of those when he gets much older. Sam forces it on him after a few too many heart issues

And Dean thinks it's dumb having a watch beat whenever his heart goes a lil fast but he'll deal if it means getting Sammy off his back

Then one day at a grocery store, his hand bumps someone else's when he's reaching for some pie. Cue cliche eyecontact as Dean and Cas look at each other for the first time

Cas smiles and greets Dean, but before Dean can even get a word in, his watch starts beeping loudly, alerting him of his speeding heartbeat

And Dean, embarrassed by it, makes a run for it

It happens again later that week. Just Dean going to pick up an order at a diner. Ends up standing next to Castiel again who is all "Hello again" to be polite

Dean's watch starts beeping and he ends up grabbing the wrong bag with Cas' order in it as he rushes out the diner

The third time, there was no escape.

Dean making a trip to bring his buddy Charlie some food at her office. A surprise lunch date so they can plan out the next DnD session

The elevator door opens on the second floor and Castiel steps in. The doors close before Dean processes who it is

Castiel is all "It's a coincidence we keep running into each other"

Dean's watch beeps

His first words to Castiel are

"I think I'm having a heart attack"
