She’s already in the process of losing it completely once Drew’s arm falls to his side and bursts out into laughter the EXACT moment that she’s pulled close–apparently their contagious to each other. He’s mid-cheek kissing when she starts laughing honestly. Not that it’s an exact bad thing to be. “Oh, very much so! I mean have ya seen the chin–well actually the whole look ‘bout that bloke? Someone had it out ‘or ‘im.” she grinned. “Or what exactly, hmm?”

   ❛ Indeed, he was supposed to make kids want cereal but that face is spooky... I don’t have those teeth either do I? ❜ he teases, showing his teeth which are actually accompanied by two plastic fangs -courtesy of Tom’s friend-.  ❛ I’m not a bunny... ❜ swaying by then, which Mellie in his arms Drew grins.  ❛ My dancing. Sway with me to the dance floor dear and I might sweep you off your feet! ❜

Perhaps a compromise? “ I’ll be willing to share the bed if one of us sleeps on top of the blankets… “ 

❛ Are you sure? ❜ His eyes squint, the corner of his lips turning upwards just slightly.  ❛ Then that will do, I’ll be on top if you don’t mind. ❜ the piano man paused his speech walking back towards the bed as he had already reached the side of the couch.  ❛ I’m kind of a blanket thief so that way you’ll be safe. ❜

   Johanne chuckled, nodding in agreement. Scott was an interesting guy, he reminded her a bit of Jackson at the moment. “An endless supply of candy from a little bag? Sounds like every candy lover’s dream.” 

At his question, she gave a hum and shook her head with an amused expression. “Don’t worry about it, the costume is a little niche to be honest with you.” Swift fingers adjusted her shoulder pads for a moment before returning to the conversation. “Megaera from Hades. Great game. Frustrating if you aren’t used to playing rogue-like games.”

   ❛ If it’s a dream don’t wake me up  ❜ Popping another skittle into his grinning mouth he slightly leaned closer with a lot of interest plastered on his expression.

  ❛  Oh! Megaera as in the wife of Heracles? Greek mythology? Well, it’s a game you say, does it follows the mythos? I’m not used to play any game for that matter but if you ever want to teach me, I’m up for it. ❜ He might also develop some obsession over it.

At that question, her eyes narrowed, looking around in mock scrutiny. “No, that’s unbelievable. Another bar in New York city? With the bar counter and shelves just alreadyhere and everything? Too hard to picture,” she joked dryly, shaking her head.

That being said, the place must have had some improvements in the time they’d been here - that much she could tell. “How long ago did you guys open the place?” she asked, taking a sip of her drink.

❛ You’re dripping sass. ❜ he teased, squinting his eyes at her but a smile, though rare, could be seen on his lips. ❛ Almost everything but yes, establishment permit and alcohol permit already there, so changing names was the easiest bit. ❜  ❛ Uh... Ten years? Give or take, it was just Tom and me before Drew chose to sneak in. That’s another story, don’t know if he’s told you already, that chatty lad. ❜ he shrugged, reaching for his drink to sip as well. ❛ But yeah, I’m kinda proud of the place. ❜

His sister had nearly talked his ear off about how great this little dive bar was, about how great the food was–after she’d actually had a chance to try it finally– and how great the people were. Apparently there was some bloke that worked there she’d recently started dating.

Haze was like a second home to her.

So what was the harm in checking out for himself? Personally Melvin didn’t see any and so he wandered inside. Huh, well at least the atmosphere seemed suitable, then again he wasn’t a snob or anything. And the piano man sounded like he could really belt out a song. So, with a light-hearted grin he stopped near enough to be heard. “Ya sound rather good mate. Do ya know any Billy Joel?”

  The melodies surrounded him as usual, swaying to the notes swafting in the air in different hues and textures. His voice soon joined with humming under his breath for a while trying to think of the next song to play. Choices, choices every night if there weren’t any requests... Until a voice caused his eyes to perk up and find a jolly smile on the guy’s face.

❛ Are you kidding me? He’s one of my favorites! Would you like to request a song? Any Billy Joel song I know. I’d go with piano man of course but a bit of a cliché right about now. ❜ Drew chuckled ❛ Unless you really want it, so then I guess I can oblige ❜
