Literally assassin’s apprentice is like what if there was a part of you that you have been aware of since you were a child that the vast majority of the world sees as dangerous and wrong and perverted, including the only person who’s ever taken care of you, so you try to hide it and push it down but you’re so lonely and you feel like you’re strangling a part of yourself and when you allow yourself to give in you form some of the strongest most important connections you’ve ever known because of it and even as the people who care about you most tell you again and again that this is wrong you can’t quite believe them, and you don’t want to hide it but everywhere you look people are spreading rumors and telling old tales about how dangerous and bad and unnatural people like you are, and even as you grow more certain about who you are you know you’ll never be able to be open about it, not now, not in this world. Like how do you expect me to read this and not be queer about it.
