[Part 2: Rising and Midheaven]

Previously, I briefly wrote about Social Media Natal Charts and provided information on what each house represents. If you have yet to read the first post, feel free to click the link! This way, you can see how a natal chart can be formed for either your Instagram or Twitter accounts. I also failed to mention that your social media account is best observed, along with your own natal chart. It helps determine which of your traits are most prominently seen through your online persona.

The Rising sign (Ascendant/ASC) in astrology refers to the native’s outlook or how they project their identities into the world. It’s the sign that was on the horizon at the time of birth. In this case, it’s the time of account creation. Think of it as a mask— others may perceive us through our rising signs when they first meet us. But with our online, social persona in the mix— we have another identity that the world wide web can see. This is where the Midheaven (MC) comes in! It’s our public reputation and highest achievements.

Have you ever met someone who seemed completely different in real life than the self they portray on their Instagram or Twitter pages? This may be the reason why!

*Note: If you have the same ascendant as your social media account(s), people may perceive you the way they normally do. You appear authentic, and the traits of your personal natal chart rising comes through clearly in your branding. ** The ‘associated colours’ section does not dictate or determine how you use these colours on your accounts. Although if you do use them, there may be changes in the engagement (test it out yourself if you’d like). I have an Aquarius rising on my YouTube Channel, although I do not use the listed colours at all… the rising most likely refers to my inconsistent uploads or original content, haha. I normally use colours that are associated with my personal (Scorpio) rising sign, so you might find yourself doing this too! ***If you don’t often post, your branding may not come together as described down below. Your social media natal chart can actually indicate whether or not you have issues relating to consistency, performance and engagement as well. You have free will— so of course, this is only a glimpse of your potential. Please also consider the degrees of the ASC or MC, as they may slightly affect the overall appearance or approach to your account as well.

Aries/Mars (1°, 13°, 25°)

Vibe: Bold, confident, fiery, strong, dynamic, direct, powerful, authoritative, passionate, intense, dramatic, outgoing

Associated colours: Scarlet, blood reds, bright orange, and black

Potential themes: Fitness/sports events and tournaments, health and wellness, coaching/training, gaming, personal or start-up business account, politics (since it is Libra’s sister/opposite sign), rants, NSFW

The native is likely to post or engage with their platform impulsively, and will do whatever they want with their account

This account might be linked to their identity, since Aries represents the Self

Pros: Always know how to comfort themselves, take their time to feel better. Very rational with their emotions, they never let them bother them for too long. Very loyal to who they are and their friends.

Cons: Can sometimes be lazy, not open-minded towards new and different experiences, because they have a hard time going out of their comfort zone.

Aspects with the Moon can create attachment to the other person. Feeling free to express what you feel/how you are/etc. It creates a “safe” environment. The Moon-Pluto can be a very intense, emotional relationship and a bond to the point of feeling empty without the other person. Generally all of these can create dependency on the other person and a feeling of being cared for. The Moon-Mercury can create a “therapy” type of relationship,because Mercury can help Moon deal with how they feel, understand their point.

conjunction/trine between Moon-Mars(best if the woman has the Moon)

Feminine and masculine energy collide. The Mars is protective and caring over the Moon, the Moon nurtures and softens Mars. This is why it could be a “baby making” aspect. It connect the energies between two people. Mars looks at Moon as their softer, more fragile companion. It could create very strong intimacy between two people and it can be very obvious. These are the couples that always touch or are next to eachother in public. Mars has their arm over Moon, in a protective manner, Moon has their hand over Mars, they want them to know they’re “there” for them.

Although it doesn’t give the chemistry like the Venus-Mars does, it can create a great relationship. With the Venus-Venus aspects(conjunction or trine) two people will have a similar way of loving, showing affection, style and appreacite the same kind of beauty in things. With a Mars-Mars aspect(conjunction or trine) they will have the same pace. Great sexual chemistry due to them expressing their primal physical needs in a similar way. It can create a lot of passion, although there might be a lack of emotional attachment(depends on the other aspects)

conjunction/trines between Jupiter-Sun/Moon/Venus

These can create a very happy relationship. With the sun aspecting jupiter there can be ego boosting coming from both sides, motivating the other person, helping them grow and experience different things. Moon-Jupiter is a very happy aspect, the Jupiter person will always make Moon happy whenever they’re around. Jupiter-Venus is a great love aspect, a very loving and happy relationship. When it’s longterm(often it can be), the love grows more and more.

trines/conjunctions with Saturn

Although they can get a lot of negativity when talked about, I find these aspects very helpful. They can create struggle/you can call it “tough love”, but it’s great for learning a different perspective, becoming more mature and learning how to handle things in a relationship. These aspects are the ones that will make people not give up on a relationship(especially if they’re trine/conjunct the other person’s Moon/Venus/even Midheaven).

Planets in the partner’s 7th House

Dependency, always considering your partner’s opinion before taking any kind of action, this is the partneship placement which is great for the long-term. These people can become a union and always be together. They see the other person as their other half and can feel empty without them, once they found them.

Planets in the partner’s 4th House

Nurture, love, care, affection. This relationship is a savior for both parties. They will feel like they’ve found their home in the other person. Good for the long-term. It can turn people dependent on their partner, always needing them for support and not feeling good when they’re not around.

Great for marriage, the Juno person feels like they get everything they want from their partner in order to stay with them whether that’s emotional connection, the affection they want, happiness(depends on the planet).

Positive aspects - the individual has always been connected to their goals, success is sometimes the purpose of their life. can make connections and friends to get where they want.

Negative - lack of decision and self-confidence regarding their career path and what they want in life. they might struggle and fight to get what they want and be in the place they want.

Mercury

Positive aspects - they will have a career that has a lot to do with their mind, intellect, communication. they can talk their way through success.

Negative - their can have a hard time communicating what they want. they might not know what they want.

Moon

Positive- their mother might have influence in their career decision. they will be very intuitive about their career and public image. they will be sensitive and take criticism to heart, but also will be liked because of their empathy.

Negative - can be “ruthless” in their career because their emotions might be totally disconnected. they separate their private life and feelings from their career and the public and can be thought of as harsh and emotionless.

Venus

Positive - People like them, they can use their beauty or charm their way to get where they want. They might have a career in fashion, modelling, acting or something artistic. They are generally adored.

Negative - There can be rivalry and jealousy, they might not feel liked by the public or their colleages, they might not “love” what they’re doing or take pleasure from it.

Mars

Positive - Often a very active career or a career where they use their body (again, modelling, sports, etc). Very dominant regarding their decisions - they don’t like to have someone telling them what to do. Can be bossy to others and too dominant. Hard-working.

Negative - Can be a pushover in their profession. Avoids conflict so others might use them. Might secretly hate and be jealous of their boss and people in higher positions.

Saturn

Positive - Very disciplined and organized. Ambitious but patient. A qualified employee, often very respected by colleagues and bosses.

Negative - Can lack confidence or underrestimate themselves. Can be discplined but not know how to use it in their career or goals.

Jupiter

Positive - They are like a sponge - they absorb all useful information and lessons from people around them. Can have a lot of luck and get successful even if that’s not what they wanted in the first place. Can be people who inspire others.

Negative - A very big ego without substance. Can think they’re more important than they are. Their luck might not work in their favour regarding their career or public image.

Uranus

Posiitve - Can have a career in computers, technology or something that’s still being developed. Also a very eccentric career. Very imaginative and always have unique ideas. Can be known as rebels or a “mad genius”.

Negative - Their imagination might not be in their favour. Can have a lot of career changes and never commit to anything. Be unreliable in their work.

Neptune

Positive - Career connected to arts. Always chase perfection, the impossible. Can be very inspiring to others. Can be seen as a good example and someone who takes care of their people.

Negative - Can be easily manipulated or deceived in their career. They might never be sure what they want or see their job as better than it is.

Pluto

people with opposite rising signs tend to look alike - i’ve noticed this cuz when i try to figure out someone’s rising i usually go for the opposite sign. (honestly, this goes to an extent about sun signs too - some people look way more like their sun than like their ascendant)

the tightest aspect (the one with an orb closest to 0) that your venus has in your natal chart shows what kind of people you’re attracted to the most. the aspecting planet shows what kind of person you will be drawn to, the sign in which that planet is shows how you act with that person and the type of aspect shows how the relationship usually plays out. f.e. my tightest venus aspect with a planet is a sextile with saturn in pisces. i’m usually attracted to saturn/capricorn/aquarius dominant people and with them i can allow myself to just chill and let divine inspiration flow through me, be vulnerable and dreamy and emotional and limitless - like a pisces. such relationships can be quite harmonious for me but they still need work and effort from both sides to work.

there is something peculiar about personal planets in aries that i’ve never noticed about planets in any other sign. it’s like they act as unaspected planets even if they’re strongly placed in the chart. a planet in aries is kind of isolated from the rest of the chart and acts on its own without forming alliances or caring what the rest of the archetypes need. a person with venus in aries may find themselves running after people and relationships that don’t satisfy & flatter their emotional needs for nurturing and safety (moon) or their sense for individuality and self (sun). a person with mercury in aries may often communicate with others in a manner that doesn’t agree with their romantic needs or values (venus) even if mercury forms a trine with venus in the natal chart. basically planets in aries need special attention and more efforts to make them act productively and in agreement with the rest of the chart. they are difficult to tame and if you don’t actively work on them, they may bring a lot of unhappiness in your life.

How would you interpret a Gemini moon in the 8th house? I know that there’s no such thing as a good or bad placement but I feel like this is one those “bad” placements.

I don’t like to say good or bad because it’s all dependent on the context. For example, Moon in Gemini in the 8th tends to switch emotions often and be confused about their feelings, but they’re very adaptable and versatile!

This placement takes life experience and uprooting in on an emotional level. They learn from their experiences quickly, and they’re able to piece together experiences as facts and apply those facts to their emotions. For example, if something bad happens to them, they’re able to determine things leading up to that bad experience so that they can avoid the experience happening a second time. A compatible Saturn could save them a lot of painful experiences, and that same Saturn could calm down the volatility of the Gemini/8th House combo.

Intimacy is found by collecting facts from the partner / person close to them. It would be mostly verbal or through observation. An outsider may see this type of intimacy as small talk, but the native truly finds comfort in words. What placements do you think could indicate a person having an easygoing and not really strict childhood

Makes me think of Taurus, Libra placements around the 4th and moon.

I believe that a Saturn with decent aspects would be a good planet for showing stability, attachment to the home, long term relationships. But Saturn could also be very malefic and pose issues of fear, inability to accept change, anxiety.

A venusian lord of the 1st house in the 4th could show a stable and attractive image that derived from one’s roots.

Few to no hard placements in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, or 7th, as well as Mars being absent from or in a positive light in those houses.

The 8th house should be muted, especially with no Mars or moon placements, as to not have sudden changes and uprooting, signs of a disturbed childhood, etc.

The lord of the 8th or 12th in the 4th could show secrets, instability, enemies within the family or hometown, just not good overall.
