@heartfeltlove-
I don’t understand how some people can so easily shift the blame to someone else for them falling short of an expectation.
When people leave you , they end up teaching you more about yourself, how you were always capable of surviving without them, not just surviving indeed growing, how your lives may have been interconnected but they were never dependent, how the absence they left behind, you turned it into a space filled with self-love, how all you ever needed all these years was just the best version of yourself .

Make sure you don’t start seeing yourself through the eyes of those who don’t value you. Know your worth even if they don’t.

You have to be the kind of person who can make the best out of a Tuesday. You know those people who live for the weekends? They’re wishing their life away. You have to find something worth living for or else you’ll look back and realize you’ve wasted your life away.

This is a good sign, having a broken heart. It means we have tried for something.
Elizabeth Gilbert (via wordsnquotes)
I feel so disconnected from y’all lately. It’s as though I no longer exist and everything I’ve thought we were was just an illusion and figment of my imagination.
My cousin once asked me if I would outgrow y’all, but I didn’t think so. Now I’m not so sure anymore where I stand and where we stand.
I’m just tired of feeling so shitty.
Eventually you realize who really matters, who never did, and who always will.

I think deep down I always knew that I loved you.
I just didn’t want to admit to myself that I was capable of feeling so much for someone who cared so little for me. I loved you more than I could ever imagine and more than you would ever know. But as the story of unrequited love goes, it was me that was hurting and you that walked away unscathed. I should have let you go, cut you out, but being who I am I hated losing - and losing you was my biggest fear. So I spent so much of my time trying to hang on to you that I lost myself in the process and compromised a lot of things I stood for. It may be contradictory, but you also taught me a lot and for that I thank you. I discovered things about myself that I would have never known existed if it wasn’t for you. So in the end, you were put in my path for a reason. It took a lot of time, but I’ve found myself again and I got the closure I needed. So here’s to finally moving on completely and hoping for the best for the future that lies ahead for both of us.
When it comes to the people I care about, I can be quite the hypocrite. I’ll give you the hours during which I should be sleeping without hesitation. My eyelids saturated with fatigue, I’ll gladly watch the seconds tick away knowing that somehow this is helping you. But when it comes to me, I don’t want you to worry. You don’t need to help me climb out of the rubble I call my life. I’ll make it out somehow. Until I do, I’ll put a smile on my face for you. I’ll make sure it’s high quality, made from whatever amount of strength I could muster before stepping outside that morning. If I’m lucky, you won’t question the bags under my eyes or the way I seem to space out when my thoughts become too loud. If I’m lucky, my sadness will stay just that, mine. I know your arms are open, but sometimes I don’t want to trouble you with this body. Sometimes I just don’t want to be a burden.

You must learn to let go. Release the stress. You were never in control anyway.

Sometimes we meet someone and are with them for a short time, yet somehow we write about them forever.

People grow when they are loved well. If you want to help others heal, love them without an agenda.

I feel too much in a world that feels so little.
I fall in a little in love with everyone I meet.

I want love to be simple. I want to trust without thinking. I want to be generous with my affection and patience and love unconditionally. It is easier to love a person with their flaws than to weed through them. I want to love the whole person, not parts; and this is how I want to be loved.
