i think, that if i had a pair of jeans that would fit me the way i want, i wouldn’t be so messed up in the head.

but then, getting good jeans from wrangler, lee, levi’s etc. is really expensive so i always just thrift pants.

i’m pretty sure that if i went to an actual store and tried on like a million different pairs, getting extremely overstimulated in the process, i would eventually find the one and only.

but that’s too much for my brain and my wallet, so i just stick to second hand ‘close enough’s

irl believe it or not I do run into people who find it weird that I regularly reread stuff like the Iliad and the epic of Gilgamesh and whatnot.

These days when someone says one thing like “I could never read that” or “I don’t know how people read that it’s so boring” or “why would you voluntarily read that?” I just reply with “Well, it’s a good book.”

This usually stops them from going on a rant about how much they hate English teachers or something.
