Hers is to Fall in love. Not with a man, or a story, or place. With herself.
Her Best friend is always telling her, “Well, when you finally love yourself, things will fall into place.”

A bath tub. A bath tub could fix all of my problems...for tonight anyway.
Those times when you took forever to articulate something, and clean it up, and publish it, then you struggle between wanting everyone to see, and hoping no one will ever find it.

The Possibilities are seriously endless!
I met God. Who slowly, painfully and divinely pieced me back together.
A line from an old journal I found (via selahtime)
This hit me like a rock this morning. It's amazing how when you're not even aware of His presence He just smacks you right across the face with it.
This is what we all need to hear and remember!
I've been writing letters to my Future husband for some time now, but this is just a lovely reminder of how God's plan is so much greater and there are Men out there who feel the same way.
Identity Crisis
Tonight I am just rejoicing in awe of how the Lord moves and works in our lives fluidly and constantly. On the way to the small group I go to with my mom we were talking, how I've been heartbroken over a friend's relationship or lack there of with God, and just asking how I can show my love for her and more importantly God’s Love for her without being too pushy or making her feel judged. My mom kindly pointed out that praying for her and letting her know that she is loved is enough and God is working. It can take time to heal things.
In our group we are studying Judges. All I can say is WOW, SO POWERFULLY, INCREDIBLY, PATIENT IS OUR GOD! We started by finishing up Judges 5 which is the Song of Deborah, and then moved onto 6. Each time the Israelites would turn away from God life got worse. Each time they cried out to the Lord and each time He delivered them. In Judges 6, though, they cried out to the Lord, and instead of a judge he first sent a prophet to remind them of what He had done, freeing them from the bondage in Egypt, defeating their enemies and giving them the land, and in verse 10 (NLT) “I told you I am the Lord your God…” We continued to break down the beginning of Gideon’s story and just the amazing love He has for us, that all we have to do is Obey (Listen to) the Lord and He is with us. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon He told him 1) his identity and 2) that God is with him. Judges 6:12 (NLT) “The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, ‘Mighty hero, the Lord is with you.’” He goes back and forth with the angel of the Lord. He doesn’t recognize that it’s the Lord that he is speaking to but eventually he starts to understand what he is being told. The Lord says to him in verse 16 “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”
I think a lot of the time we struggle in different ways with the same basic issues the Israelites had. We can just as easily be a child of God but can fall out of relation with Him. We can easily become spiritually dead, when we just go through the motions and forget about God, and His plan. It is referenced somewhat in 2 Corinthians 7:10 (AMP) ”For godly grief and the pain God is permitted to direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes to salvation and deliverance from evil, and it never brings regret; but worldly grief (the hopeless sorrow that is characteristic of the pagan world) is deadly [breeding and ending in death].” When we maintain our relationship with Him, and obey (listen to) Him, He reveals our truer identity and we can defeat the enemy with Him. It’s easy to say “so easily the Israelites forget our God.” We are no better, we forget our God too, so we need to heed their example and let the Holy Spirit guide us.
With Resurrection weekend upon us I can’t help but look back at the Cross and remember that Jesus endured the darkness so that we never have to! It’s the greatest gift we can ever have received because we cannot even imagine how it would be to face that eternity without Him! He told us that He would NEVER leave us nor forsake us! Repentance “changing how you think” as well as surrender to realize our identity and we must always, always, always remember that GOD IS WITH US. Only then can we be true to the identity that He has given us. He has already gone ahead of us and defeated our enemies, we just have to be willing to step out of our comfort zone and follow him.
