Im going to be very vulnerable here and talk about my jevil brainworms ,. OK? Ok </3 awesome. That's awesome. I'm being brave. These are all half-done sketches I did in the heat of the moment while listening to the cutscene, I know there's been a surge of people talking about her comparisons of what she said during her breakdown and Jevil's whole characteristic being a breakdown in of itself and it's like. Wow! I want to toss my hat in the ring. So, take this as a post for being inactive for several months/years: my WIP if you will. The whole 'dragging someone close down with you', wanting something, I thought about how when Seam had to banish Jevil - they had to essentially go to the basement floor to put him at ease to 'escape' and feel free. Something, something, 'lower' - like how Noelle n' Kris went below, lower and deeper in the water and towards the music that's under the lake. Now saying this out loud; The music in the circus slowly growing louder the more you walk down towards the cell - deeper in the 'water' (castle grounds) where 'hell bubbles in the depths'?? Where everyone forgot about him? CRAZY. You have to GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to find him, just like how you have to go out of your way to do the Snowgrave route. Eww...
Anywhoosies, whilst doodling them, I got tired of having a remix of the song of the cutscene on loop and decided to pop in some of Jevil's themes (The Circus). And I swore I heard something. I did, i hear it. I popped both into capcut for a side comparison,. I'd love to get tagged if yall hear it or have your own interpretation - but I've had worms of hope that Jevil had any relevance to the party on a large scale as the others had (Kris terrified of Spamton, and having to compare being controlled with an Anime Doll - Susie with Gerson having an impact, yk yk). I feel like every darkner is connected to a lightner counterpart in some way extremely bluntly - but not Jevil. He's his own enigma.
Either way, I've been, uh, thinking about them a lot. Jevil is a no-brainer, but, the comparisons are neat to twiddle my thumbs over. This is just one long rant, honestly. I have multiple takes of Jevil over the years of thinking about him since chapter one - and maybe I'm a bit word-vomity over him atm but the song near the lake and The Circus has been spinning around.
That being said, I could be wrong. He could have just gone crazy because he felt like it. I love him anyways. Thank you for listening to my BULLSHIT. My ASSPULL. My DUMBASS THEORY (Not a theory - literally just pointing dots to lines here)
