I had a random AU in mind for Hi Fi Rush

Post Game!Kale (or I call him Data!Kale) somehow fucks up trying to turn on SPECTRA and ends up in Chai's robot arm

Both are forced to work together while also trying to figure out how to get Kale tf out Chai's arm

Over time they actually start synchronising and this enhances Chai's music and beats, making him dish out more damage

Imagine this as the lore explanation for that chip that makes Chai deal and receive more damage.

Like Kale still hates Chai so much despite their synchronization that he's actively making Chai take more damage from enemy attacks.

Chai dishes out more damage but also takes more damage
