Yet again it’s been a while. Had some left over roast chicken so made a chicken and bacon pie. Made the shortcrust pie bottom myself but I store bought the puff pastry.

It was so yummy. Surprised my husband with it after he’d been working away the whole week 🥰

Today was the first (and second) time making kunefa! Had my eyes opened to this wonderful dish when visiting Saudi Arabia. The little ones were a practice before trying the sharing one for a family gathering

Wedding cake part 2! I really enjoyed making this. It was a fruit cake on the bottom, then chocolate then vanilla strawberry. There was supposed to be a carrot cake but it was too warm and wouldn’t sit well. Was still eaten but not part of the tiered cake

It’s practice wedding cake time! A 3 month matured brandy soaked fruit cake, layered with apricot jam, golden marzipan and then white fondant. Decorated with fake roses. This will be layer 1 of 4 and is about a third the size it will actually be on the day.

I got my bake on today. Nutmeg egg custard tart and strawberry tart with vanilla creme patisserie and strawberry glaze

Made some scotch eggs for the first time, alongside some more Cornish pasties and a sausage roll for a Christmas hamper for a friend

Lemon and poppy seed cake. Lemon curd, lemon mouse, lemon Italian meringue buttercream, poppy seed cake drizzled with limoncello. Topped with fremch meringue.
