your tag is fucking disgusting. i specifically talked about being attracted to teachers, not the other way around. and it is fiction. but oh for a minute there i forgot that radfems have as big a problem with female desire for women as just about everybody else.
i may be a fake-ass feminist but at least i know how to readĀ

On Wattpad, a book app, I found a f/f story that didn't have sex in it, but it was teacher/student. It was the only good quality story I could find. It was pretty good. But still it was bad, I'm pretty sure it was written by a straight girl.
Writing that normalizes a relationship between a teacher and a student is inherently bad, as it promotes relationship with a power imbalance. It doesnāt matter if thereās sex or not, it is still romanticizing this imbalance, and love is about mutual trust, respect, communication and balance.
I wouldnāt be surprised if it was indeed written by a straight women, as women under patriarchy are made to romanticize and accept such power imbalance.
Mod C.
this is some purity police bullshit.
in real life, teacher/student relationships are abusive and illegal. this is not real life. this is fanfiction. sometimes in fic, we want to explore things that would not be a good idea to do in real life. i write a lot of fic abt ladies in spandex swinging swords at each other. iāve never worn spandex or picked up a sword in my life and if i tried either, iād probably hurt myself.Ā
iām not disagreeing that itās possible for that fic to have been written by a woman who has no real desire for and/or experience with women. a lot of f/f original and fan writing is like that. but the implication that lesbians can never have those kinds of fantasies is ridiculous.
you know how many young lesbians iāve talked to who have had a thing for their teachers/professors? iām one of them. i hardcore crushed on my art professor from sophomore year of college, def had a bit of a thing for my bio teacher from junior year of high school. obviously an actual relationship would have been horrific, but there is no need to shame women for havingĀ āforbiddenā fantasies. likeā¦most people do? fantasizing and writing out those fantasies can help you understand and enjoy your own sexuality, even and especially if those arenāt things you want to or should be acting out in real life. i donāt understand why this is a hard concept.Ā
everything that turns me on doesnāt come out of a radfem-approved textbook of acceptable lesbian sexuality. i guarantee you thatās true for most lesbians (who are not political pretendbians) on this website.
sex in fiction and in real life doesnātā¦always have to be about loving relationships. itās okay to want to read about pure fucking. itās okay to want casual sex. demonizing sexuality is a dark road to go down.
the last thing i wanna sayāin response to the part of the post that really left me gobsmackedāwhat about a female student and aĀ female teacher implies a heterosexual power imbalance? heterosexuality is indeed reflected in and exacerbated by many power dynamics, but just because thereās a power differential, that doesnāt make a situation straight. this falls into the ugly idea that all lesbian relationships must be perfect and healthy or they are not lesbian. guess what? lesbians get into abusive relationships. lesbians hurt each other. there can be really harmful age gaps, professional issues, etc in relationships between lesbians. a lesbian relationship does not mean glowing love and trust and happiness every time, and selling this narrative is selling polilez nonsense.
Wtf, how is understanding that fiction informs reality purity politics and polilez nonsense lmao. I canāt with these fake ass feminists
right, because everyone who writes or reads erotica definitely wants those exact scenarios to happen to them in real life. which is why stuff like ābanged by bigfootā can be amazon erotica best-sellers. right? also, way to take the comment i made abt polilez completely out of its context.
Oh so you just wana play dumb, cool cool āš¾āš¾āš¾
cute. so do you actually have an argument for why women canāt have fantasies?
People who want Mila Kunis to play TāPring really havenāt thought this through...
Pretty sure a lot of em have thought it through a whooooollllle lot
right, yes. mainstream published fiction deals with all this with varying degrees of sensitivity and with different purposes. i donāt see why fanfiction has to be different. criticizing specific works or trends is more useful to me.
@starryweeverĀ Ā Obv. pedophilia is wrong, but I've seen fandom cry about things like a 21 year old dating a 19 year old or the like. So half the time when I see the term 'abusive' in fandom spaces I suspect they are blowing it out of proportion again.
right, yeah. the word is thrown around a lot in fandom--itās so disrespectful. mostly itās about faux-concern, scoring points, and being holier-than-thou. and sometimes itās about ship wars.
I am curious if you think that in that case writing fanfics about pedophilia, incest, rape, etc are okay aswell since they're fiction? I've also seen alot of people complain about anime and how some of them have "lolis" how do you feel about that?
i guess iām not surprised someone wanted to open up this can of worms. fine. letās go there.
for one, the current fandom definition of pedophilia is, what, a 17 and a 19 yr old? any fic that includes teenagers? so thereās that. but overall i would sayā¦itās more case-by-case. there are many different ways to write about themes like that, and i donāt think painting them all with the same brush makes sense. overall, i donāt believe in censorship or limiting written fiction, but that doesnāt mean i wonāt criticize particular trends or writers. this is really not the hill i want to die on so donāt @ me.
as for anime and hentai wrt āloli:ā and āshota,ā i think thatās a different story. it hews much closer to child p*rn and probably even has a similar audience, i think. iām not sure itās even legal in the US. i canāt condone that.Ā
Ah, by that i don't mean that a teacher/student relationship is if the student is old enough are the sane of course. I just want to know what you think about those things.
i mean, teacher/student relationships in real life are bad news even if the student is of the age of consent bc of the power imbalance. again, fiction, not real life, two different stories.
