The backrooms wiki and stories kind of just steal a bunch of content from horror artists and writers and repackage them into a form that is palatable for people whos only source of inspiration and media consumption is the internet and videogames, or more accuratley, lore explanation videos of videogames, leading to "levels" of the backrooms that are just a stolen liminal space photos and artwork, creature designs that are just illustrations used without the artist's permission, and entries that are just worse versions of SCP articles written a decade ago.

Honestly, the main reason is that I just find that the low quality, often poorly written and incredibly derivative backrooms stories are really bad and completely miss why the original image and simple two line story make for fairly fun little bit of internet horror.

This was my final project in college.

The theme was "adaptation". The project was about finding balance between what to translate and what to leave as is to preserve the themes of the original but still make it so the target audience understands them.

The titles use the Hungarian translation's titles and they were made in the style of '60's, '70's and '80's Hungarian posters and some elements were changed for understandability.
