Hey, what kind of genre would you say your stories tend to be?
(I’ve haven’t really found many books that keep me as immersed as your stories have.)
Also, got any book recommendations?
Happy Sunday, HQO! Sorry this took me a hot second, works been crazy. I try to mix genres up where I can, but here's how I see them (putting aside spin-offs, compilations, and things that I never finished...):
Love? I Think Not - Dark Romance/Crime
Love? For Real? - Adventure/Road Trip
Thoughtless and Reckless - Comedy
KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid! - Slice of Life
A Little Bit(ty) of Trouble - Coming of Age (and maybe crime)
The Burning Mountain - This one's kinda hard. Maybe Sci-fi/Adventure
Half Your Age Plus Seven - Slice of life/Romance
Three Steps to Obsession - Coming of Age/Sci-Fi/Horror
Cold Blood, Warm Heart - Adventure?
An Introvert Meets the Devil at the end of the World - Sci-fi/ Apocalyptic /Road Trip
Rising Dough - Slice of Life
And I had to sell like 3/4 of my books before we moved...
But if you want my short list of writers I never pass up when there's something new:
CLAMP (at this point they've done pretty much everything)
Charlie Brooker (non-fiction, he did stuff before writing Black Mirror)
Del Toro (yes, the director. His books are exactly what you'd expect if you'd seen his movies)
I've also got a bunch of (as yet) one hit wonders Hex by like Thomas Olde Huevelt, Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
I also follow a BUNCH of stuff on Webtoon, like My Giant Nerd Boyfriend, Odd Girl Out, The Remarried Empress, The Mafia Nanny, Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story, Of Dark Lords and Cabbages, and about a billion others...
Sorry I can't narrow it down for you, but this bitch reads A LOT
