The morning was calm nothing truly out of place in the saja boys penthouse, as most mornings off work went, romance making a breakfast full of love (like literally everything is heart shaped), abby making everyone healthy smoothies, mystery and Jinu coming back in from their usual morning walk, and baby still in bed not asleep like he usually was this time he was awake and he felt different like he wanted to just curl up and stay in bed.
Jinu’s voice rang out to him “baby breakfast is ready!” Baby felt the slightest bit of annoyance at jinu’s voice he didn’t need to be told when to get up he was an adult he didn’t need to be babied, he called back out his voice dripping with annoyance “I’ll be out when I’m ready”
Back downstairs there was a large pause, then romance spoke up looking concerned “what’s wrong with him? He’s usually so excited for breakfast.” Abby shrugged before mystery began making his way upstairs “I’ll go talk to him if anything’s wrong I’ll know” (which was true baby and mystery had known each other long before the saja boys were made) as mystery made his way upstairs and opened baby’s door before he could get a word in baby was already yelling “Oh my gosh get the fuck out! I don’t wanna see any of your bitch asses this morning” mystery stayed quiet as he watched baby yell and yell before climbing out of bed and shoving him aside as he made his way downstairs
at breakfast there was a tense silence baby wasn’t scarfing down his food like the usual fat ass he was (I’m sorry i had too😭) instead he was staring at his toddler fork and spoon and his hello kitty themed plate and sippy cup, he scoffed as romance cleared his throat “so baby about this morning-“ baby just rolled his eyes and got up from the table and left the penthouse, the boys all turned to Abby who was eating his kimchi pancakes before pausing “what?” Jinu frowned “what did you do?” Abby scoffed “i didn’t do jack shit” romance crossed his arms “oh yeah likely story” Abby frowned “I’m serious i haven’t interacted with him since last night’s movie night” mystery nodded “then that means it’s something we did” the boys sat there trying to think of things that would have made baby so upset.
Meanwhile outside baby was sitting on the front door steps as tears escaped his eyes, being seen as nothing but the Maknae hurt and even though he knew the boys saw him as more then their maknae it still hurt, then toddler themed stuff, the way they would cover their mouth whenever they cursed near him, it was all so embarrassing and it made him feel even more uncomfortable in his own body then he already did, the longing to just fly out of his own skin plagued his mind before he wiped his tears and stood up before going back inside.
Inside was chaos the boys had assumed he was going to be gone for a long period of time so they had decided to make a hello kitty themed surprise party, baby frowned a he saw the dumb decorations and a piñata (ok he had to admit he was wondering where the hell they got all this stuff from) the boys turned to him and smiled as romance spoke up “darling! We thought you’d be out longer but-“ baby growled and trashed the entire house, by the end of his rampage mystery, jinu, Abby, and romance were hiding behind a chair as they looked at the scattered confetti, popped balloons, and a half done cake all over the walls.
Abby stood up and frowned “ look baby i don’t know what this is about but you can’t just trash things because you’re mad! We worked hard to do this for you!” Baby turned to him and huffed “i never asked for this! I never asked for this dumb party or to be the dumb maknae, i didn’t ask for this ugly body either but life isn’t fair” romance’s heart shattered at baby’s words he wanted nothing more then to pull baby into a hug and smother him in kisses but he held back knowing how bay was with physical touch, jinu stood up and raised an concerned eyebrow, “baby? What are you talking about are you ok?” Baby whimpered “i just feel like all i am is the dumb maknae and that you guys don’t see me as anything more” mystery stood up as well “baby that’s not true, we love you more then anything we only treated you like that because we thought you enjoyed it we’re so sorry we made you feel that way” baby nods as he slowly let jinu hug him before Abby, romance and mystery followed suit all murmuring apologies and giving baby small kisses as they decided to navigate his feelings together as he they could.
