I like drawing cute things and happy/funny scenarios! Sometimes I may indulge in something less fluffy, but I never venture past emotional vulnerability in my drawings! My comics are mostly strips with a kick or a joke to it and they rely on my own sense of humor to work! So if you don't get them or don't find them funny, it's absolutely alright lol.

Preface:
The Light of Deceit sails the calm night waves, her captain commands to follow the faint gleam of gold into the mist.
Two halves of one Heart have met again after centuries, but if the disdain in Shadow Milk's voice is anything to go by, it's still too soon.
My Shadow Milk x Pure Vanilla pirate au called The Hearts of the Guardian! It goes by that name on AO3 and it's my pride and joy that I have been writing for over half a year now. We may have reached their ending, but I am still not over them and never will be.
Captain Shadow Milk, the Heart of the Seas and Pure Vanilla, the Heart of the Lands meet again after they broke apart to face a common threat.

I actually am one of the people who enjoyed the tadc ending! I'm just a lil sad that my favourite character bubble wasn't in it... But that's ok cus the ending was great in my opinion! :D

Hello again! I have just finished reading The Hearts of the Guardian! There's much I want to say but don't exactly know if that is for here or AO3 comments-
Anyways, I have some questions! I think it's cause I stay up so late to read since I read so slow, but some things went over my head.
What is the Dark Shores exactly? I know it keeps the Abyss tame and from going after the beings on land, but it seemed to be referred to as a place, and then like an object which confuses me.
Did Black Sapphire become the new captain during Shadow Milk's absence at the end? If so, I love that and you have no idea how much my brain is going wild at that idea- Black Sapphire is my favorite CRK character overall for not really an explainable reason.
Speaking of our good captain, why did he allow Golden Cheese to make him a new ship if he wasn't going to sail on it, and (follow up question) why did he trust his crew with it-?
This question isn't really related to The Hearts of the Guardian, more of just me being curious: What do you think of Blackbell (Black Sapphire x Silverbell) and do you ship them?

The Dark Shores are a physical place between earthbread and the abyss and the manifestation of the Guardian's essence and power itself. They also have a physical entrance on Earthbread.
It used to house the Heart of the Guardian as its core. The Shore's existence prevents the abyss from leaking out and taking over the surface and the surface and its inhabitants from falling into the abyss. And yes, Shadow Milk said he was willing to give the Shores to the abyss fully if it meant relieving himself of his curse. He treated them like a possession that belongs to the Guardian (and by extention to him) which is why he thought it'd be possible to do that with the Scepter.
Back in time past, when Shadow Milk was tossed in the abyss, the Guardian had grown weak, time, human mistakes and eternal duty having eroded at Their sense of self and mind, weakening the Dark Shores alongside them. Once the Guardian bestowed their Heart upon smilk and nilla it basically sealed off the Dark Shores until our two idiots merged the Hearts again and granted them a new access point in pv's former room on the Light of Deceit (now located near the Vanilla kingdom and repurposed as their little home🥺). When it manifests as the Shores however the space bends to accomodate them and where the original Heart used to be there's their trinket box instead~ (i said as much, I was just being not direct about it lol)
2. First things first, Shadow Milk has not retired from the life out at sea, he is just taking a long-deserved rest because his curse would have never allowed him to stay in one place for long, but in a little while more he will be out at sea again, there's no stopping our captain!!
Now.. yes! Black Sapphire is the de fact captain of the Eye of Knowledge while Shadow Milk isn't on board. I believe he'd be a great captain even if he'd make the crew's ears fall off from how much he talks now that they are kind of forced to listen to him. Candy Apple for sure isn't letting him have a break though, there's no worshipping this captain SHE WANTS SMILK BACK REAL BAD.
In a wholly extended ideal and fluffy fluff future of the fic I imagine that black raisin would have also joined them in sailing the world lol
3. As you can imagine from the start of the previous answer, Captain Shadow Milk is only taking some time to rest, but he will rejoin his rew and his brand new vessel in the near future~
As for why he trusted them... well that's his crew, who has sticked through thick and thin. He wasn't looking forward to hiring a whole new crew when he got back so that works for him.
About blackbell... I am not much of a shipper outside my main ship, but I don't mind this one nor any other ship tbh. As long as people behave and are having fun they can do what they want with our little fictional characters~ i've seen very cute arts of blackbell though, that I can always get behind 👀
