Okay, for most of you who don't know me, I'm crazy. It's better to say soon. I can't write anything without thinking about the smallest details and going crazy over things I know no one will worry about, after all, it's a fanfic. It doesn't have to be alright. But for me it does, and that's why I'm here.
I had an idea about a story involving Reid and a Taylor Swift-like celebrity (which I'm calling Taylor for now, but I'll probably later replace it with "Y/N"). And for that I'm creating a timeline of their history, so I can try to write something later. The timeline is like this for now.
Thanks to @bacchicly's suggestion and @tthisismetrying's help I decided to post the timeline as a stand alone work. Because even if I don't end up writing the story, at least all my work won't be completely in vain.
I will probably split this timeline into 3 or 4 parts because it takes a bit of work to do

I want to make it clear that English is not my first language, and that I do not live and have never been to the United States, so my geography is probably all wrong, but I did the best I could with the help of google maps
Timeline - Lyrics - Part 1
PRE-SERIES (1981): Reid is born
PRE-SERIES (1983): "Taylor" is born
PRE-SERIES (2000): Taylor's first release
PRE-SERIES (2001): (Ages: R-20/ T-18)
PRE-SERIES (2002):They know each other (R-21/T-19)
They meet in LA at a party (Spencer was dragged by Ethan), and they start to grow closer. When they first met Spencer was working part-time as a waiter (and he wasn't very good, and the job didn't last long). They only stay friends for a few months, until they start dating for real.
RELEASE OF FEARLESS - Most of the songs on the album were already ready when they started dating, so Spencer didn't get much attention on this album.

PRE (2003):(R-22/ T-20)- FBI - Shortly after they started dating, Spencer was recruited by the FBI and ended up having to move to Virginia. They sort of lived together during this period (that is, when she wasn't busy with work, she stayed at his house).
PRE (2004):(R-23/ T-21) - BAU - Spencer eventually joins the BAU, and with the two parties traveling frequently, maintaining their relationship becomes increasingly difficult, and they start bickering.
Season 1(2005): (R-24/ T-22) - START OF THE SERIES
Spencer contacts Taylor for the first time after the breakup, right after killing a person for the first time, because he needed someone to talk to. From then on, they chatted more often, and met whenever they could.
RELEASE OF SPEAK NOW - Taylor releases the album Speak Now, with songs that portray the good and bad phases of the relationship and the end.

i think some people forget that DJATS is a retelling, told by multiple different people, 40 years after the events of the book. and who they are telling those events to also. they're all unreliable narrators lol.
what we saw in DJATS (book) is not going to be the same as what we'll get in DJATS (show)
there's plenty of stuff actually in the book that contradicts itself, and given the time, the multiple recollections, the context of who the interviewer is... we're going to see more scenes, events and conversations in the show than we heard about in the book!
that doesn't mean they've changed the plot or the characters or whatever. it's just a side effect of adaptating a novel (esp a novel written the way DJATS is) into a live action television format.
and i for one am very excited to see more scenes and get more context and nuance than ever before!!!
Daniel Craig going from walking glorification of womanizing and state sanctioned violence to funny little guy in an outfit helping ladies out with problems while married to Hugh Grant is literally the glow up of all time.
They can’t just erase Agents of Shield from the MCU’s history. Daisy Johnson’s origin story and character arch is arguably one of Marvel’s most well told and well crafted out of any other in the MCU. Her transformation from beginning to end is beautiful, and to see her find her place in the world, a family, is the kind of story that grounds the MCU in a way they weren’t even able to do as well in Daredevil and they already canonized that. Agents of Shield was always a story about the little people becoming bigger than they could ever dream possible, and every actor gave a performance of a lifetime in the way their characters grew, particularly the performances of Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Elizabeth Henstridge. Anyone who has watched Agents of Shield in full knows the heart, humor, and love put into every frame, and cutting it out of the canon MCU negates all of that. Agents of Shield was, from the beginning, always poised to be canon, and was always true to the larger universe. If they don’t canonize it, let it be known that Agents of Shield didn’t give up on the MCU, the MCU gave up on Agents of Shield.
there is something about agent May's character development that's so wholesome and beautiful. she goes from steel cold, hardened after a traumatic mission, following orders and only half trusting her team, though doubtlessly caring for them, to a mother figure for daisy and robin, the only one who still has hope, a softened version of her that hasn't lost her strength because strength comes from more than kicking ass and building walls around yourself. there is power in vulnerability and empathy. in understanding. she didn't became naïve and she didn't lost her fight skills (she's still the best) but she grew so much and let herself feel so much more is just so *keyboard smash*
