     He’s not sure that it’s (appropriate? a comparison that would be welcomed?), but he feels the need to breach the barrier of what lays unsaid. “You, uh, would have liked them–the couple that raised me. They were helpers like us… well, heh, in the investigating supernatural bizz way.”

A sense of bitterness lingers at the back of her throat. It shouldn’t have been another couple. If Martin hadn’t run off with their baby... No. It was the past. She needed to stay calm, and collected. There were far worse things that could have been done with Finn. Much worse families could have adopted him, or worse.

All she could do was smile and nod, taking care to only open her mouth to say anything of relative importance... Chastising him for his father’s actions was not that.

Dr. Campbell how did you exactly felt when you met your son Finn after years of separation?

“It was surreal, if I’m honest? I had resigned myself to the idea that Finn and Martin were gone forever. I’ll never forgive him for running away from the island with our son, but I do hope that he is alright. As for Finn…”

“He’s free to do as he pleases, however dangerous it might be, though I wish he would consider the risks he’s taking. Not to mention I’m not sure how I feel about him dating that bit of fire… I’m sure she’s lovely, but humans aren’t meant to have prolonged contact with such things.”
