If men stopped working…the world would continue on.
If women stopped working, then things would get ugly.
What?
there has been an instance where this happened. it was 1975 and icelandic women decided not to work for one day. working as in cooking, cleaning, taking care of the children, doing chores and so on, not only “not showing up to your workplace”. women did nothing that day, except showing up in reykjavik and protesting for gender equality, equal pay and equal representation in parliament, you know, cool stuff. you know what happened? havoc. men were left with food to cook and children they never took care of to pick up from kindergarden and entertain for the day. they went en masse to the food shops buying sausages because they could cook nothing else, they had to bond with children they never spent more than a couple hours a day with. they struggled combining their work day and the domestic tasks they had to sort out. and this just for one day. iceland in 1975 stopped working and things indeed got ugly. so ugly that women in the following decades became woke AF and soon it happened that women became president, took half of the seats in parliament and achieved one of the best living environments in the world. is your astonishment solved now?
Here’s an article on it
Very true.
people who are like “yeah, but i’m sure the same thing would happen if men left the workforce!!!” not really tho bc look at WWII??
^
Literally what happens then is women say “Ok fine we’ll do that too” and do it.
Me: well I mean when you get to the - (gesture at carts) CART of the matter.
Boss, softly: please shut the fuck up Arin.
Golly gee I hope when yall preach about normalizing body hair on women it includes trans women and women of color
And like, I’m talking about other than quirky dyed armpit hair. I’m talking facial hair, support girls with mustaches, support girls with 5 o'clock shadow, I’m talking dark thick leg hair, if you’re gonna support women having hair you better be okay with it anywhere and everywhere and not just on conventionally good looking skinny white cis women…

is this a renaissance painting?
“Interrogation of the Zodiac Killer” -The Ghost of Sandro Botticelli ca 2015
So I slapped some mathematics on this picture and…
The red lines divide the picture into thirds. They also mostly coincide with the doorway (and Cruz’s right hand), framing him nicely as the Main Character of this picture.
The green line was placed using the golden ratio (the ratio between parts of the picture above it and below it is close enough to 1:1.618). It also goes right under his chin (and through some reporters’ hands or tools).
The purple lines are diagonals that are framing the reporters really nicely.
I’m pretty sure you could also do something clever with a circle and the yellow doorway behind him, but I don’t have the patience to fiddle with that.
Basically, this picture has the same “maths are beautiful” aesthetic as (some well-known) Renaissance paintings.
ah yes they call me “No Queue” Jones because I post everything I reblog at once with no breaks in between and then vanish into the night for extended periods of inactivity
Just an experiment. Reblog if you actually give a fuck about male victims of domestic violence and rape.
Of fucking course
What sick bastard doesn’t
“You’d be surprised”, said Xaldien, who just lost four followers and received a lovely “men can’t be raped” anon shortly after reblogging this the first time.
Yowch, disgusting.
If I don’t reblog this, assume I’m dead.
This does happen. And it is just as wrong. NO ONE should be abused. NO ONE. EVER!
I’ve reblogged this before and I’ll reblog it again.
every generation has a story
rachmaninov or rachmaninoff??
tchaikovsky or tschaikowsky?
who knows
Richard Taruskin, in the Oxford History of Western Music, writes “Chaikovsky,” something which I have never seen repeated elsewhere. It is the only thing that he has written in the OHoWM that I immediately reject without looking for further evidence to disprove its existence. @tchaikovsky-official what do you think?
It’s spelt Чайкoвский so you can do whatever you want with it in English.
Chai cow ski
Don’t do that
@operaspaz
i dont want a job i just want paychecks
Overwatch Fandom: toxic af
Seeing posts that wish DEATH upon Michael Chu makes me legit sad and furious tbh and even insulting him, like you are so disgusting?? You think Gency is gross? Take a look at yourself you pieces of shits, I have never blocked so many people in my life because of this whole Gency voicelines discourse.
Blizzard has brought us an amazing game with awesome characters with interesting back stories and abilities, working their asses off to make the gameplay more better and fun and you are going to insult and wish death upon the writer and overwatch crew just because you didn’t get your way? You do realize it ain’t your fucking game its theirs, they created it, worked weekdays and weekends to make it, put their passion and creativity into it and you are just being salty little shits over a ship, have some respect for them god damn it and yourself.
Tracer the mascot of Overwatch was confirmed to be a lesbian with a beautiful gf/wife and yet people still whined because she wasn’t gay for Widowmaker and that Emily is a boring character that came out of nowhere boo fucking hoo, is like you dont care about representation at all?? You just care about your popular gay ship becoming canon.
If you send/sended hate and death threats to Michael Chu or any of the Overwatch crew, I hope you realize what you are doing is wrong and you should be a better person and just accept whatever Blizzards decides to do with their game.
There is nothing wrong with shipping Gency, just as there isn’t with shipping him with McCree, or Reaper, or literally anyone else. There is nothing wrong with shipping just about anything, regardless if its ‘canon’ or not; Michael Chu said this himself.
However, there is everything wrong when you cross the line of respect and start harassing, shaming, or otherwise hurting the creators and fans just because your ship isn’t ‘canon’. It’s all fictional.
If you’re one of the people doing, saying, or sending these horrible things to fans and creators: grow the fuck up.
