The Threshold of Time...

They say that time in Chestnut Ridge moves slowly, shaped by the harvest seasons and the steady pace of prize-winning horses. But here, at Apple Hall, at the very second my eyes cross the threshold of this room, time doesn't feel slow; it feels absent.

It is high noon of an eternal summer. The doors are always open and the lights always on—not because the owners are home, but because the Dixon name demands it. The family hasn't lived here permanently for over a century and a half, having departed before the Gilded Age even dawned. Yet, they return often enough to remind the world that Apple Hall is no ghost house. Their presence is a silent warning to the neighbors and the curious: the Dixon fortune is as immortal as these walls.

The sun hits differently here. It doesn't merely illuminate; it invades. It pours through the tall windows, bathing the marble hearth and melting over the impeccable Persian rug. It makes the crystals of the ancestral chandelier vibrate in invisible prisms, casting rainbow sparks upon the gilded frames of portraits that watch us in silence.

There is a pulse here. A scent of aged wax and fine leather. The wingback chairs remain poised and ready, as if the last patriarch had only just stood up to check the orchards. The lights stay burning 24/7 so that no one, for even a second, forgets who owns this land—or that a Dixon's wealth never sleeps.

The sun doesn't know they've been gone for 150 years. And as long as the gold keeps flowing, the house won't either.

I built this with the intention of it feeling like a setting from a well-worn classic novel. A place where the world slows down and golden hour hits differently as it reflects off these traditional window panes.

This isn’t just a two-story brick build; it’s 192 tiles of architectural nostalgia, a mid-sized piece of history tucked away under the shade of ancient oaks. The bricks are weathered by stories we’ll never know, and the red door remains a bold promise of warmth inside.

It’s a sanctuary that smells of old books, fresh grass, and the quiet comfort of knowing you’re finally home. A digital love letter to the soul and symmetry of the 1930s.

Some of you know the heartbreak I faced recently: losing 20 years of history, including the Dixon legacy and my entire Sims 2 and 3 archives. It was a heavy blow to see decades of architectural research and storytelling vanish in a hard drive failure.

But knowledge is the one thing that cannot be deleted.

I am officially returning as HenrySims. My PC is back, my passion is renewed, and I am rebuilding everything—stronger, more detailed, and more professional than ever.

Every shiplap, every gable, and every period-accurate floor plan is being recreated with the M.H.Pellizzari signature.

Thank you for sticking with me during the dark days. It's time to build history again.

🏛️ THE END OF A LEGACY (2004-2026) / O FIM DE UM LEGADO

I’ve been putting off this news because it’s still hard to process, but I felt I owed you an explanation. My PC has died, and unfortunately, it didn’t go out alone. It took my entire life’s work in The Sims with it.

Those who follow me know my process: I didn’t just "build." Every house was a project. I furnished every single room to the smallest detail, even in unoccupied houses, leaving them ready as if they were just waiting for a family to move in. I used to photograph every angle to catalog my designs—a 20-year record of virtual architecture.

But the biggest blow is the Dixon family. I’ve been playing them since 2005/2006. I started their story back in 1850 and played through every generation until the present day. Now, two decades of family history and genetics are gone. Along with them, my massive CC folder—filled with rare items from creators who no longer exist and things I created myself.

The damage report:

Sims 2 (My nostalgic favorite): 100% TOTAL LOSS. (The Dixons, the catalog, the mods... everything).

Sims 3: 100% GONE.

Sims 4: 50% GONE.

Nearly two decades of dedication just evaporated. For now, these projects only exist in my memory. I’ll be taking some time off to see if I can find the strength to rebuild from scratch.

One last piece of advice: I'm heartbroken, but I care about you guys. BACK UP YOUR SAVES RIGHT NOW. Don't leave for tomorrow what the Grim Reaper can take today. 🕯️💔

Eu estava adiando essa notícia porque ainda é difícil de processar, mas eu devia contar a vocês. Meu PC morreu e levou com ele o trabalho da minha vida no The Sims.

Quem me acompanha conhece o meu processo: eu não apenas "construía". Cada casa era um projeto sério. Eu mobiliava cada cômodo nos mínimos detalhes, deixando tudo pronto para morar. Eu fotografava cada ângulo para catalogar tudo—um registro histórico de 20 anos.

Mas o golpe mais duro foi a família Dixon. Eu jogo com eles desde 2005 ou 2006. Comecei a história lá em 1850 e vim trazendo as gerações até os dias atuais. Duas décadas de genética e história perdidas. Além disso, perdi minha pasta de downloads gigantesca, com itens de criadores que nem existem mais e coisas que eu mesmo criei.

O saldo da tragédia:

Sims 2 (Meu xodó nostálgico): 100% PERDIDO. (Os Dixon, o catálogo, tudo).

Sims 3: 100% PERDIDO.

Sims 4: 50% PERDIDO.

Vou tirar um tempo para ver se consigo forças para reconstruir do zero.

Today we will go to the main house of Dixon Gardens to see its interior (finally)

As soon as you pass through the door we have the main hall.

To the right of the Hall is Mrs. Margot's writing room. Her favorite color was blue and she loved the French chateau aesthetic.

Behind Mrs. Margot's writing room is the living room.

To the right of the living room we have the solarium

To the left of the living room is the large hall built at the time to host family events but for a long time it ended up being used only as a living room.

Through this room you have access to the external patio with the most beautiful view of the city

returning to the house, to the left of the large hall we have the dining room

passing through the door at the end of the dining room we have Mr Hartley's office

from here we return to the main hall and that's the end…
