the “”callout culture”” on tumblr is almost ALWAYS aimed at mentally ill people (who are almost always teenage girls tbh), and revolves around digging up shit that can be up to years old and then demanding apologies and then labeling them as abusive and dangerous whether they apologize or not

this is downright abusive & the fact that you pieces of shit couldn’t even stop yrself from labeling a dead teenage trans girl “problematic” a day after her death shows that:

i feel weird about this since the person who made that post was a teenage mentally ill trans kid. they've probably been 'called out' enough at this point imho. idk this post strikes me as very ironic since the person 100% didn't stand behind what they had said afterwards, had apologized multiple times and agreed it was a terrible thing to do... and yet here's one of those 'callout' posts about another trans teen, calling them 'pieces of shit' and just??? 

obviously people need to be told they've done wrong. but at this stage the person responsible for that post has been /told/ left and right. idk. maybe people are still reblogging that first post, i don't know, i haven't seen anybody doing that, but if that was happening then i guess this is an understandable response???

The inclusion of this scene alone would have made it the greatest animated feature the company ever produced. Easily. And if you think that’s hyperbolic clearly you don’t understand.

It was clearly something the crew was very reluctant to get rid of if it made it all the way to rough-clean (and in a few scenes clean!), fully inbetweened animation. That is like, thousands and thousands of dollars and weeks (months?!) of labour. Maybe a reluctant producer decided they would alienate their white middle-class American audiences by making them feel “too guilty” and pressed them to drop it? It’s unfortunate, it’s one of the most honest accounts of racism in a Disney movie (which is why it’s believable that someone got uncomfortable and made a case to get it chopped)

Designing entertainment by committee for maximum marketability is probably the most heartbreaking process in Hollywood.
