update- i have ANOTHER round next weekend ohmigosh...i think it went fine, i'm not sure if i'll get katherine, but all my friends think so! but i'm 99.9% sure they've already casted my twininem as crutchie so i'm super happy for him YAYYAYAZ + the newsies fandom is so SWEET ty for the comments!!!
another update omg- this week was just for everyone who hadn't vocally auditioned yet to do it again, but this saturday i'll find out the cast! i'm really scared though...because this company is ALWAYS typecasting me as either male or comedic relief, but one of my friends said she had a big say in the casting because she was helping out/on the panel, so i'm hoping wishing & praying

you may know i ADORE the niche asf musical that is american psycho... i was lucky enough to get to watch it london today- here's my thoughts + some of the changes (if anyone has any recordings at all...please....i need them)
patrick now comes up from the stage in a glass elevator type thing? full suit already on, stays in it for a little while, i think until âolder.âÂ
both âmorning routineâ and âselling outâ are combined into one number, with the audio bites from morning routine and some of patricks dialogue, and then it goes into selling out- i think this worked VERY well i loved it
choreo was incredible, some of it throughout is the same from older productions
âeverybody wants to rule the worldâ isnât a full solo, jean is more singing it as if itâs stuck in her head- is not the full song + i think ensemble might have sung?
jeans outfit was so cute she had like baggy grey long short/trousers things, a funky belt, shirt, and then cutesy trainers
paul owen was walking through the audience interacting like shaking peoples hands and acting as if he knew them which was hilariousÂ
cards was slowed down a bit
no more of the patrick paul overlap harmonyÂ
instead the boys just repeat whoevers singing lines if that makes sense? its mostly paul singing and then they repeat it back
oli as tim was so funny with the golf club he was just pissing about stretching
you are what you wear stayed pretty much the same so i was very happy
âdeath of downtownâ instead of âoh sri lankaâ itâs basically the same song but with the death of downtown sung instead of oh sri lanka + a few lyric changes
jean no longer goes to the party, shes not in the phonecall section of you are what you wear
patrick didnât attack the cake sigh
club singer isnât the bartender aswell abymore sigh
killing time was amazing obviously- i donât think too much was changed? i cant remember
dancing in tunnel was so silly i was obsessedÂ
cast all stood around the stage on the floor for âin the air tonightâ and went on stage if they had solos
hardbody was so camp
the patrick and courtney bit in hardbody was toned down in like the physical explicitly thank goodness (not in the writing though)

nor a common man was also toned down
no projections on the floor for that bit i think? more of a duo dance with the two girls and then the ensemble just eating it up

unrelated but at stage door i met arty and he loved my outfit, saying he was glad he didnt kill me HAHAHAHSA (it was very patrick bateman/killing spree esque)
