Recommend me dystopia/post apocalyptic books that aren't too long, looking to expand my mind.
There are so many! Here’s a short collection of my favorites:
1984 (George Orwell) is a classic. Great dystopian novel that is pretty damn relevant to the current trajectory of modern society. The Road (Cormac McCarthy) is a devastating story of father and son trying desperately to survive in a desolate world. It’s a little longer, but definitely worth the read.
On the Beach (Nevil Shute) describes a group of people struggling with death as they await slowly-spreading deadly radiation following a nuclear war.
White Noise (Don Delillo) is weird and satirical at times, but a really interesting story of a family struggling through some apocalyptic-esque events.
Farenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury) follows a fireman (book burner) and his strugggle with censorship in a society that has banned books - and by extension, dissenting ideas.
Falling snow on an empty land. Silent and beautiful.
