Red jolted started as he looked up at time, “h-hello!…I’m Red Link…but I like to go by red…wait…who told you about me?…” a red diamond glows on his chest warmly

“No one in particular, I’ve just heard good things about you. So your name is Red” Time parroted so as to not forget the other’s name. The glow of Red’s diamond caught Time’s eye but he tried to ignore it in case staring at the precious ore offended Red. “You can relax, I won’t hurt you Red” he smiled warmly.

It didn’t offend him but he is protective of it, if looked closely his soul could be seen glowing inside the diamond. He tries to relax as he smiles “thank you…and I can say the same about you…I too heard good things about you” he said in a soft kind tone, on his arms neck and cheek patches of pearly white dragon scales can be seen under his sleeves and hear.

The scales on the other caught his eye and piped his interest. Time had always been interested in dragons! And the first time he saw one was in a pet shop when he was a child, sadly he couldn’t afford it back then and he was busy with the task given to him by the late Great Deku tree.

“Hey, your arm there! Are those scales? So you truly are Dragon kin? Oh wow that’s amazing! I’m sorry if I sound doubtful, seen some people claim to be something they aren’t. May I ask if you could tell me more about your kind?” He asked gleefully.

“Ah yes I am a dragon hybrid…” he rubbed the back of his head nervously “I’m what you could call the Crystal Starlight Dragon” He smiles a he points to his wings that were purely made of crystals, what kind was unknown “I wasn’t always like this- I use to be full Hylian”

He listened intently to every word that came from Red. He had never heard of such a dragon and wanted to learn more! But Time felt it was too soon to ask more questions, especially since Red still seemed uneasy.

“So you where just an ordinary Hylian at one point huh? Still those wings look amazing! …although I get the impression they often attract the wrong sort of attention”

“Yes they do…fear from villagers and greed from hunters..and” he looked at his wings and smiled at him “thank you” he said as he folded them “I one point yes I was fully Hylian, a hero of legend from the tales of the four sword…a sword that splits its user into four…and together slew the evil windmage Vaati…how I became a dragon is well…a long and complicated story..”

“Well you have nothing to fear now, I’ll make sure no such hunters will harm you and that villagers are not afraid of you. In fact, I’ve heard of a shade who managed to prove himself as something not to be afraid off! …well, to those who aren’t his enemy anyway”

“And as for you turning into a dragon? Well dragons can be nice. And there’s no need to go over past events if it pains you so much. Come on, why don’t we go and get a drink?”

He was shocked and touched by his words, he smiles nodding “thank you…that really means a lot to me to hear those words..” he said softly with joy “as for how I became a dragon…it doesn’t hurt to talk about that much…it’s like I said…long and complicated, it’s hard to explain…”

He couldn’t help but smile towards the dragon halfling’s actions towards his words. “Well how about we l go and get a coffee and something to eat? We can learn more about each other then!”

“Wait are you alright in public spaces? I don’t want to make you feel uncomfortable after all. We could always go somewhere quiet if you’d prefer that”.

He nods “I am still ok with going to public places, I just need to hide the scales, so of course we can get coffee and a bite to eat!” He said with a big smile as his wings and tail slowly vanished, seem as tho he can bring them out as well as put them away. He took out a black cloak from his pouch agreeing to get coffee and a bite to eat

Time watched in awe as Red’s wings vanished before his eyes. And gave a brief frown at the black cloak he wore, surely there was a cloak that was better suited for him? Perhaps Time could find one in the marketplace that would suit him?

“Brilliant, Then let’s go and get some coffee and something to eat!! Who knows, maybe we’ll find something else to get too! The Market always have something neat to buy after all” the hero chirped as he prepared for the journey ahead. The Castle town market was a peacefully place but it was also place where lots of trade was held.

There was little doubt that perhaps a hunter might be in town…

He smiles sweetly and was beaming with excitement as he was now ready for the journey ahead, he wore the cloak to hide himself because in the dark parts of the market is where the hunters tend to lurk, and they always look like regular people when outside of the market “I’m already starving just thinking about the food”

Fishing about in his pockets, Link took out the Ocarina of Time which was gifted to him by the Princess Zelda when he was a child. He played a song on the magical instrument and before anyone could say “that’s a nice song” Epona came at the gallop and soon halted.

“Come on then! No rest for the wicked. Climb up and and we’ll get there before you know it” again Link chirped as he mounted Epona and offered Red a hand up.

He smiles widely as he walks over to Link and Epona taking his hand to mount the beautiful mare “one lovely tune! Two what a beautiful mare!” He said with a giggle as he looks at Epona in awe and then to the ocarina “is that?…I heard stories about it…never thought I’d see the real thing up close!”

"Thank you, Epona is a wonderful mare, kind and gentle yet she'll fight off anyone who dares to hurt those close to her". Rpona seemed to appreciate the compliment, giving a brief whinnie and a throw of her head. "Seems Epona appreciates the compliment too" Link chuckled before giving the command to walk-on.

On the way to the market town. Link answered whatever questions Red had and happily talked about the Ocarina. "Yes that's the ocarina of time. Would you believe me if I told you I saved a land from a moon that was going to fall in 3 days thanks to this instrument?".
