I guess it's true what they say: Who smiled the rarest at the past, now has the most beautiful smiles 💕
If you think about it, Kung Fu Panda was the perfect trilogy. The antagonists represented Body, Mind and Spirit. Tai Lung was a physical battle. Shen was a mental and Kai was spiritual.
I agree that the 3rd was underwhelming. Mostly because Kai doesnt have much depth, his connection to oogway wasnt really built upon and his main goal was just to be the most powerful. His main motif being ‘finding yourself through failure’ lacked impact but later comes to effect.
Kai lacked any memorable features like Shen's cunning and Tai lungs rage and physical prowess. However Kai being tragic wouldnt have really worked for him. With the other 2 movies having emphasis on their villains, the 3rd didnt have that and instead focused on Po’s journey.
It focused on how Po went from a nobody to the master he is now, essentially the dragon warrior. Po being the strongest maybe second to Oogway. It focused on him and tigress finding their spiritual way through the panda tribe and eventually leading to Po mastering chi.
With this in hand, Po defeats Kai which goes back to his motif of identification through failure. 3 in a sense acts as the reasoning for 1. Oogway even states to Po that his life has gone in full circle. This mastery of body, mind and spirit is why Oogway chose Po.
hi mx millie your opinions are always objectively correct can we get your thoughts on this *holds out microphone*
oh boy lesbians! my favorite thing to talk about!
you could say that this is what starfruit thinks about pomegranate before pom’s betrayal, but that’s never been the case for the relationship chart before. the chart has always shown what a cookie thinks about another cookie currently, after the story involving them is said and done. like lobster having tension with mocha, and gingerbrave, bright, and skater having tension with the chess twins. so i don’t think it’d suddenly be any different.
that would mean that starfruit still trusts pomegranate and still considers her to be her very best friend. interesting—why? she certainly has no reason to anymore.
well. starfruit is an oracle, isn’t she? or more like, occasionally the stars choose to show her what they deem important. usually stuff in the future, but... who says they can’t show her the past, too? or even just the present, from a perspective that’s not her own?
starfruit's reaction to pomegranate's betrayal is absolutely heartbroken. and while it's important to note that she displays no anger towards pom for making the choice to betray her trust and instead considers the whole incident her own fault and hates herself for it—she's still in no state of mind to be thinking the way the chart shows us. so i kind of think she had a moment with the stars that we were not privy to. showing her the future in regards to her relationship with pom wouldn't do her any good, but there's a great deal they could have shown her from the past and present that could have helped her sort out her thoughts and feelings...
this fanbase has begun to interpret pom in SUPER bad faith. getting a little sick of you people saying she manipulated starfruit or whatever. pomegranate did betray starfruit, yes, but she liked her. a genuine bond was forming between the two of them. pom's dialogue throughout the story reads to me as reluctant and regretful. she wasn't as eager to fulfill dark enchantress' wishes as she normally is.
i think starfruit is the first person pomegranate has met in a long time that made her loyalty to dark enchantress waver.
(well, second, because i think the first was actually licorice, and meeting him and then starfruit starts a chain of events in which pomegranate begins to realize maybe she wants something out of life that's just for her and maybe she DOESN'T want to do dark enchantress' bidding forever. but that's getting into the shit i literally just made up. anyway)
another thing to consider is how connected to fate and predetermination they both are. starfruit is an oracle, and pomegranate's fate has been laid out for her from day one. the difference between them is starfruit looks at the future as something that can be changed. when she received that horrible vision, her first thought was "how can i make sure this doesn't happen?" whereas pomegranate was told that she would one day betray her homeland and follow the darkness, and she went fuck it, and fulfilled her "destiny" without a second thought.
starfruit is urging pomegranate to join her in breaking away from this tangle of predetermined fates and to join her in making choices that are entirely their own for once. no stars or visions or prophecies making those decisions for them. she understands in a way that no one else can, because the same thing happened to her. a fate foretold, the pressure of a future that doesn't even exist yet put onto your shoulders from a young age.
and pomegranate is...considering it. her perspective has shifted, her steel resolve cracked. maybe there's something else out there for her after all.

Well… since a thread blew up on twitter about me being a lesbian I thought I’d officially just reintroduce myself to those of you who don’t know. My name’s Becky. I created this blog when I was 13 with the help of a few girls. Honestly, it was a joke that kind of blew up. Somehow I brought joy to girls and boys all across the world (”justgirlythings” but literally any man or woman could laugh/relate to this blog) and that’s all I really could’ve asked for when creating this. The above picture is me and my fiancée Chelsi.
I’d like to thank you all for coming along on this journey with me for the past decade.

Gordie is very good.
It was like questioning what you think would happen if Philza actually got hurt or kidnapped or both. Like how the sleep bois would react to that y'know? Cause it's always Techno, Wilbur, or Tommy getting hurt or in trouble but never Philza - 5'1
Oh gosh they'd fucking flip
All three of them would go on a rampage, tearing up literally everything to get to Phil. If you're someone that doesn't like Phil and they know it, oh goodness gracious you won't make it past midnight-
As an actor, I can tell you: You can only make an argument like Schlatt’s and Quackity’s if you trust one another. They picked up their cues lightning quick, they went full force with the emotions, they immediately bounced off of one another in a way that felt real and genuine. Not to mention it was all IMPROV. I’ve seen so many similar arguments that were worse SCRIPTED.
And when you’re an actor, you need that connection with your scene partner. Otherwise the scene just isn’t going to be that good.
It makes me really happy that they’re all friends behind the camera. Because they way they play off of each other, you can really tell.
Philza minecraft taking his lads far away from the bad place. Please I just want them to be happy ple
This is some older stuff from back in early August that I never posted bc I was going to write a fic to go with it. That fic is still sitting in pieces in my drafts so I might as well just share this
basic premise: Dream stumbled across a strange anomalous entity that vaguely resembled an enderman and it attacked him, and the rest of the team have to step in and protect him. (maybe one day i’ll post some snippets of the fic bc I was proud of the fight scene)
TIL people consider Doomguy an “anti hero” and that term has lost all meaning like the hell he is? he has a moral core made of titanium what do you think anti hero means
he has no angst and would never dream of jeopardizing innocent life it’s like:
reddit toughman: War is complex you just don’t get the shades of gray
Doomguy: [beat the everloving shit out of his CO for trying to fire on civilians]
Doomguy is what you get when you roll a lawful good barbarian
Remember when he lovingly raised his pet rabbit and mourned its death?
remember when he fought back the Hell invasion of Earth in Doom 2 with the specific agenda of holding off the demons so survivors could evacuate via spaceport?
aforementioned demotion to Mars for beating up a war-crimin’ CO.
The man is a paragon of virtue.
The reason he doesn’t talk is because if he did it would start sounding like a PSA from after your saturday morning cartoons.
thats dope (doomguy pope)
