Anger: an intense emotional state involving a strong uncomfortable and hostile response to a perceived provocation, hurt or threat.
You couldn't believe your eyes. You saw Jaebeom, the love of your life with another woman. She was on his lap straddling him as he sat on the couch in his office. You felt physical pain. What made it even worse was that she was gorgeous. Young, thin and beautiful. She looked much younger than you, maybe only 18.
“Y/N, it’s not what it looks like” Jaebeom quickly scuffled to get the young woman off of him before trying to make his way over to you. Your mind was some how completely full and completely blank at the same time. You turned to leave before Jaebeom caught your wrist trying to explain yourself.
You were having none of it. You tore away your wrist and ran down the hallway back to the elevator. You saw your husband running after you and pressed the button to make the doors close in front of his face. You couldn't talk to him right now, you didn't know what to say. You had never felt such sadness.
On your drive home back to your apartment the sadness and pain slowly started to fade into complete anger. How could he do this to you? You had always sacrificed so much for him, given him all your love and attention. How could he do this to you? How did he think he could get away with this? Who did he think he was?
As you arrived back home to your shared apartment your head was throbbing. Rationally you knew that you should take some medication and take a nap but instead you as though you had no choice but to let your anger out physically. You swung your arm with force, knocking off the ugly figurine from the kitchen counter. You had always hated that thing but displayed it proudly as Jaebeom had gifted it to you.
You could feel the hot rage racing through your body. You had had enough and couldn't contain yourself any longer. You rush into your bedroom, destroying anything in your sight that linked you to Jaebeom, and that was almost everything. Tossing things around the room was somehow therapeutic to you. The picture frames full of your once most precious memories, the gifts that he had given you over your many years spent together. It was all gone. Just like your relationship. How could he throw away everything that the two of had built together so easily.
In the mist of your rage fuelled tantrum you didn't hear the door to your apartment open. You were caught of guard when a pair of hands wrapped around your wrist as you were about to smash the last photo that remained from your wedding day.
You pulled away and turned to face the person standing behind you. In all the commotion you didn't hear Jaebeom sneak in behind you. “Let me explain” he pleaded but you were not in the mood to hear it and you knew that he didn't deserve to be heard out. In your mind, there was no possible explanation that could make what he did ok.
“Baby, please just listen to me” he continued on but you weren't listening. “You ruined everything” were the only words that could escape your mouth. If you weren't so full of rage the look on your husbands face would have absolutely destroyed you, but not right now.
“No, baby it was just a mistake, we can fix this” he cried, his voice full of panic. “I don't know how it happened, it didn't mean anything, she means nothing to me, I love you so much” he pleaded with you to listen, but it was your turn to talk.
“Why did you do this?” you questioned leaving him speechless. “I thought I could trust you, I thought you were the only person I could always rely on” you fought back tears but composed yourself and presented a tough exterior.
“You can trust me baby, I love you so much” he replied, trying to come close to you before you backed away causing pain to appear across his face.
“Pack your shit and go, get out of my sight, get out of my life” you snapped. “ No, no, baby please” he chased after you not knowing what to say.
“Don’t, I don't need to hear your pathetic excuses. Leave right now” you exerted all the anger inside you to make your point come across.
“Please, I’m sorry, lets just go back” he made his final plea to you falling to his knees. A part of you truly considered it. Pretending it never happened, going back to normal and just forgiving your husband for what he had done to you. But you couldn’t.
“It’s too late to go back now, Jaebeom. I will never forget this and I am really starting to wish I never met you, it would have been a lot less painful.” It hurt you to say it but the rage masked most of your pain for the time being.
You didn't look at him, knowing that seeing those pleading eyes would only make things harder for yourself. Since he didn't seem to be leaving, you decided that you needed to get out of there.
You ignored his calling of your name and ran down the hall to the elevator. You had no idea where to go but you just needed to get out and away from him.
As you entered your car you decided to weigh up your options. Where were you going? Your heart knew the one place you could always turn for a friend and a place to stay.
