The soft hum of the television filled the living room as Lewis lounged on the oversized sofa, idly scratching Roscoe behind the ears. It was a rare off-weekend, and he was fully embracing the downtime, looking completely relaxed in his sweatpants and a vintage graphic tee.
You walked into the room, holding your phone with a wide, practically glowing smile on your face.
"Lewis! You will never guess what just happened," you announced, dropping onto the cushion next to him.
He smiled, pulling his attention away from the screen to look at you. "What is it, Y/N? You look like you just won the lottery."
"Better," you beamed. "I finally got off the waitlist for that ultra-exclusive Pilates studio downtown! The one with the insane reformer techniques. My first session is on Tuesday."
"That's brilliant, babe," Lewis said warmly, leaning over to press a kiss to your temple. "I know you've been checking your email for months waiting on that."
"Yeah, I'm so excited," you said, pausing perfectly for dramatic effect. You bit the inside of your cheek, summoning every ounce of acting skill you possessed. "There is just one tiny detail though. I didn't realize it when I signed up."
Lewis raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of his water. "Did they overcharge you or something? It's fine, let me see—"
"No, no, it's not the money," you interrupted smoothly. "It’s just… it’s a nude Pilates class. Like, a body-positivity, full-freedom movement kind of thing."
Lewis froze. He didn't choke on his water, but he stopped swallowing for a concerning two seconds. He slowly lowered the glass, his brow furrowing so deeply it was almost comical.
"Wait. Hold on," he said, his voice dropping an octave as his brain tried to process the information. "Nude Pilates? As in... no clothes? At all?"
"Well, they said I should bring my own towel. For hygiene," you replied nonchalantly, scrolling through your phone as if you were reading the confirmation email. "And grippy socks. But yeah, otherwise, completely naked."
Lewis sat up fully now, disturbing a sleeping Roscoe, who let out a grumpy huff. "Y/N. You are going to go into a room with a bunch of strangers... and do the hundred... naked?"
"They say it really helps with form correction," you reasoned, keeping your eyes glued to the screen so you wouldn't break character. "Because the instructor can see every single muscle engagement. It makes total sense if you think about it."
"The instructor?" Lewis's voice spiked. He ran a hand over his face, looking deeply torn between wanting to be a supportive, modern boyfriend and completely losing his mind. "Is the instructor also naked? Who even is the instructor? Babe, you can't be serious. Think about the equipment. Think about the... the stretching."
"It’s liberating, Lewis! You’re always talking about being one with your body," you teased, finally looking up at him.
His dark eyes were wide, a mix of sheer bewilderment and protective panic flashing across his features. "I am all for being one with your body, but I draw the line at doing a naked downward dog on a shared reformer machine! I'll buy you a reformer. I will hire a private instructor. I will learn Pilates and teach you myself."
You couldn't hold it in for another second. A snort escaped you, and within a heartbeat, you were bent over laughing, burying your face in his shoulder.
Lewis stared at you for a long moment, the gears slowly turning until the panic in his eyes melted into a deadpan stare.
"You're joking," he sighed, dropping his head back against the couch cushions. "You are absolutely winding me up."
"Your face!" you gasped out, wiping a tear from your eye. "You looked like you were trying to figure out how to respectfully tell me I couldn't go."
Lewis wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you flush against him, a reluctant, amused smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I was a second away from buying the entire studio just to shut it down, Y/N. Don't play with my heart rate like that on my day off."
"Just grippy socks and a towel, babe," you whispered playfully.
He groaned, pressing a firm kiss to the side of your neck. "You're lucky I love you. Now, order some normal, fully clothed activewear. My treat."

I moved in with you not so long ago, and I’ve noticed your strange behavior.
Whenever me and you get home from work, you announce yourself… no, more like you welcome yourself back into your own apartment. It doesn’t make sense to me, do all humans do frivolous things like that?
You like to clean after me. You always complain when I leave things out. It’s annoying. What’s worse is that I know you aren’t as tidy as you seem. I can see and smell traces of your blood throughout the house, it’s old, but it’s still there. Maybe you haven’t noticed since you’re a human, but I have.
Everything this human does is annoying. I can never make any sense of it. No matter what I do to try and wrap my head around it, I can’t understand. Every little thing you do is so inconsequential, but you do it anyway. You force me to wake up, you force me to walk to work with you, and you force me to humor you.
The worst part about you is that we’re buddies, and you do whatever you can to try and protect me. Why? Don’t you know I’m a devil? I don’t mind the protection, but I do mind you getting hurt because of me. Why would you do that to yourself for a devil? I can heal instantly with blood, and it doesn’t even need to be human, and yet… you do all this for me. It’s annoying.

You replied slowly, blood still spilling out from your lower chest, “Sorry… I forgot you don’t need my help.”
“Are you stupid?” Angel’s eyes narrowed as he looked down at you. The devil’s corpse was starting to disintegrate nearby, “If you can’t get up, or think straight… how are we even supposed to finish this mission?”
“I think I fell on my walkie-talkie, but I can try to see if it works.” You winced as you moved your body around, reaching under yourself to grab what was left of your communication device. Alas, it was broken. “It’s no good.” You gently let yourself down as you looked up to him, pleading, “Could you lift me up?”
“No, I can’t touch you.”
“Then can you go get help?”
“No, I’m a devil. Surely someone would try to kill me.”
“Not if you have a good enough explanation! You have your ID on you, don’t you?” You coughed out, you started to feel short of breath.
“…I never need it, so I left it at home today.” Angel confessed, his eyes couldn’t meet yours. He turned his head away with a conflicted expression on his face, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, I guess. It’s not like I’m going to die here,” you joked, but it didn’t feel like a joke, it felt more like a lie.
Angel’s hands ball into fists before he huffed, picking up the spear laying next to his feet. Reaching it out towards you he mumbled, “Do you think you could hold on to this for a second? Once you’re up I’ll… I guess I’ll let you lean on me until we find someone else to help you.”
Your eyes widen, he’s actually taking initiative! You reach your hand, grabbing the base of the spear and shut your eyes tight as he pulls you up. You could feel the wound burn in your chest, it hurt like hell. Wobbling onto your legs, your vision started to get blurry. The aching, the blood, it all combined into quite the gruesome scene.
For support, your hand reached out to Angel’s shoulder as your other clutched your chest. Murmuring a quiet “please” as you finally made contact with him. Angel couldn’t help but flinch, instinctively stepping back before biting his lip and letting you lean on him. An ivory wing came up, shielding the other side of your body from anything else that could come your way. You didn’t realize it then, but if you did you definitely would’ve said thank you.
The walk was tedious, strangers passing by looked at the two of you with distasteful stares. Meanwhile Angel kept cocking his head away from yours so as to not touch you. His hand was on your waist as yours was on his farther shoulder, your head leaned up on the one closer to you. With each step your breathing hitched. You should’ve been smarter, used a shirt to wrap the wound, or anything! Angel’s eyes were on the path ahead, every minute or so his line of sight would switch to you to check if you were still alive and one hundred percent not touching his skin.
“No, Angel, stop. I don’t think I can keep walking.” You croaked out, your bloody hand now covering half of your face.
“Seriously? We’re almost there, I can see the building.” Angel huffs, letting you off of him to sit on a bench.
“Take my ID and run into HQ for me, will you? I’m sure they’ll listen to you.” You pulled out your ID from your pocket slowly, barely lifting your arm away from your body before Angel took it from you. He groaned in response before actually running towards the building. You think it’s the first time you’ve ever seen him run.

The hospital room was quiet. When the other agents found you, you were barely conscious. The last thing you remember before passing out with the look on Angel’s face, was it concern?
As usual, no one came to visit you. Officially, you had requested for your family to not be notified about you injuries or hospitalization unless you were dead and you didn’t have many alive friends anymore, so you were used to the loneliness that came with the night at the hospital. Unsurprisingly, the hospital wing dedicated to Public Safety did its job well. You were stitched up perfectly, but it was still too early to see if your body was back to normal. Under the gown was still a sore, bruised, red mess. The door creaked open, you shot your head at the sound.
In front of you stood an angel.
“Hey.”
“…Hey?” You sat there with a confused look on your face.
“They said I could come see my buddy, so now I’m here.” He wandered in, sitting at the table that sat across from your bed.
You hummed in response, no way he would’ve visited you out of his own free will. “How long are you planning to stay?”
“How long are you planning to be hospitalized?”
That was quick. You stared at him, “Uhm… not for long? Whenever they let me out..?”
“Then I’ll leave whenever that is.”
Is he being serious? “They aren’t going to let you do that.” You sighed, laying back down onto your pillow. “Why are you really staying here?”
“I just don’t want to be in my holding cell for any longer, it’s been days. Get better already.” He commanded, though his voice was still soft.
“They didn’t let you back home?” You said home as if it were natural. It shouldn’t be, he’s a devil and you’re not.
“Of course they didn’t. Are you stupid?”
You sigh, staring into the ceiling, “yeah, probably. I took the hit for you, didn’t I?” it wasn’t exactly meant to be a teasing tone, but it came out like one. Angel stood from his seat and inched closer to you, standing directly to the side of your bed, his eyes were… you couldn’t exactly put a word for them.
“Please don’t do that again.” he murmured out, “I don’t want this to happen again. I want you to be back at home.”
Oh shoot, he really is an angel isn’t he? You sighed again, shaking your head as you let out an awkward laugh, “yeah, I’ll try not to.” is all you could muster out.
He stayed there, staring at you for what felt like hours as you tried not to make eye contact. When’s he going to leave?- “No, promise me you won't.”
“Huh?”
“Promise me you won’t. Promise me you’ll let me fight my own stupid battles.”
“What?” Your lip twitched as you looked at him. His eyes were describable now, they were soft, warm. They were pleading at you. “Okay, fine. I promise.” You turned away from him onto your side, facing the window, “...could you leave me alone now? Leave me to my lonesome and suffering already.” He didn’t move though, instead shoving his hands to his pockets and sitting on the now viable space next to you.
“Can’t. I’m an angel, so it’s my job to make sure you don’t hurt yourself by doing something stupid again.” Was this just an excuse to stay? You didn’t exactly have a record of getting into trouble or anything…
“What are you talking about? It was one mistake.”
“Clearly your brain isn’t functioning correctly, so I have to stay by your side.” He hummed, now picking at the dirt in between his nail and skin.
“Jesus, Angel…” You groaned into your pillow, “Just leave already…”
He didn’t leave. In fact, he stayed there until hospital staff had to notify him that visiting hours were over, then he reluctantly left. While he was still there, however, it was almost complete silence. His halo glowed as the light outside your window dissipated and his wings would stretch every so often, but he didn’t actively try to make conversation. You stared at the ceiling most of the time, occasionally looking over at the clock and reading the spare magazines the hospital so graciously decorated the room with. After your second read of the same article, you decided to nap. When you woke up, Angel had already left.
Now discharged from the hospital, you looked over at your buddy who was in charge of taking care of you (even though you didn’t really need it). You noticed his changes in demeanor: the way he picked up after himself, he actually cleaned a stain you were meaning to get rid of, and the way he looks at you is a lot less judgemental than it normally was. On top of that, he started responding to you with words instead of the usual grunts or silence. Maybe this is worth it.
Life shifted, your wounds healed, and conversations were held during patrol, in your apartment, even very rarely at division parties. It felt special, though it was annoying when Angel would only cling onto you… a little annoying, but it’s not like you had anyone else anyway.

You stood in the hallway of one of Public Safety’s main buildings. Angel sat next to you, almost dozing off. He asked you why the two of you were making a detour instead of going straight home like you usually do, and the answer was…
“Oh! Have you been waiting for me?” Makima asked as she creaked open her door, “My apologies. It seems I didn’t hear you knock.”
“Yes! Sorry… Miss Makima, could we talk?” You got up from your spot, walking towards her door, clasping your hands together. Angel who was previously leaning on you slipped, waking from his dazed state.
“Yes, come in.” Makima pulled open her door to let you in, closing it behind her as you entered her office. It was wide, bookshelves lining the walls and floors, it’s not like you hadn’t been inside before, it just all seemed new.
“It’s been a long time since I came in here…” You mumbled, it was small talk, but the air around Makima had always been suffocating.
“Was there something you needed from me or are you here for a little visit?”
“I just… uhm, Miss Makima, I was here to talk to you about Angel’s pay.”
“The Angel Devil’s payment? Did he do something? Must he pay for something– be punished?” Makima tilted her head, looking at you with nothing behind her eyes.
“No, nothing like that! He’s been good, like really good! I just mean…” You fidgeted with your hands, “He doesn’t get paid and he works really hard-”
“Really hard?” She raised her eyebrows, still not breaking eye contact with you.
“Well– no, I mean yes. He… I think that he should get paid for the work and hours he puts in with Public Safety.”
“Why’s that?”
“He works…! I think he deserves to get paid, it only makes sense y’know? He’s basically a human–”
“No, he’s a devil. You need to keep that in mind, you can’t forget something as important as that. You aren’t a rookie anymore–”
“I know that!” You covered your mouth, “Oh. I’m sorry, Miss Makima, I didn’t mean to cut you off or anything but I just…”
“Do you care for this devil?”

“Then what is this about?” Makima maneuvered around you, sitting at her desk as her chin laid on the palm of her hand.
“I…” You bit your lip, you had to come up with an excuse. “He lives with me, as you know, and it’s just that he… he’s enjoying the pleasures of human life and the luxuries that come with it! And it gets pricey with just one person's salary. Yeah.”
“Is that so? Then wouldn’t you rather the Angel Devil to stop living with you entirely?” She hummed, staring into your eyes, catching your half-lies.
“No, I just… I just want to have an extra source of income, that’s all. I mean, if you think about it, I’m taking care of a devil after work hours for free. He’s using my water, my electricity, and eating my food so…” You move in place as you look down at her. She hasn’t blinked once this entire conversation.
“Mhm.”
“If you could pay him, even half of what the average starting devil hunter makes, it would help a lot and… it’s not like you have to give him a raise, I’ll keep taking care of him and everything!”
“Is that all?”
“...yes.”
“I’ll think about it.” Makima spun in her chair, looking out into the sun’s light fading across the city below her.
It didn’t seem like you got to her at all, you sighed, “Thank you, Miss Makima. I’ll be leaving now.” You shuffled towards her door again, “Have a good night.” Closing the door behind you, you looked up to see Angel standing oddly close to the door. He backed up quickly, a lot faster than he normally moved.
You didn’t comment about it, instead just walking towards whichever stairwell that led to the exit the fastest as Angel tailed you, just as he always did. Angels halo bobbed up and down, the glow illuminating your back as the two of you walked underneath the sunset back to your apartment complex. You heard his voice sputter a few times on the walk home, but it wasn’t exactly intelligible, and you couldn’t bring yourself to ask.
“Do I really eat that much?” Angel asked, picking up the pace to walk next to you instead of behind you.
“Huh? So you were listening.” You hummed, tilting your head to look at him.
“I was just curious.” He was most likely thinking ‘I thought you were going to abandon me’, or something along those lines.
“It was just an excuse, really. I just want you to get paid for your time, that’s all.”
“So you see me as human?”
“What? No– yes…maybe.” You stuttered, stopping in your tracks. Maybe this wasn’t exactly the correct thing to say to a devil, but it was what you felt. You were doing a good thing. You were being honest. “Does it matter? And don’t tell me I shouldn’t think that way because you’re a devil, you all say the same thing! It’s getting annoying.”
“...okay. I won’t.” Angel looked away from you awkwardly, “I’m just saying. Are you sure you should be so close to me?”
“It’s not like you’re going to do anything. You’re harmless.” Approaching the steps of your apartment building, you started shuffling with your pockets to find the keys.
“You’re forgetting that I’m a devil.”
“How could I forget that? It’s literally in your name, ‘the Angel Devil’.” You groaned, a few more steps and you reached your apartment’s door. Unlocking it with practiced ease, “I’m home!” You called out into the empty home, as you always did.
“I’m not harmless.” He huffed, kicking his shoes off in the foyer.
“You are though! You’re an angel, so it evens out and I know you wouldn’t do anything you hurt me–”
His hands were on your neck, he was holding you through your collar of course, but his hands were on your neck. You were taken aback, stumbling into the wall behind you, and now you were stuck between a devil and a wall. Words hardly escaped your lips before Angel’s thumbs pushed deeper into the middle of your neck.
“You really do forget that I’m a devil, don’t you?” his grip loosened just slightly, he wasn’t really trying to hurt you. “You’re stupid. A stupid, lowly human. You’re supposed to fear me– hate me.” He spat, there was no real venom or truth behind his words, but it hurt nonetheless.
No I’m not, I just trust you. Why would I hate you?
“Listen. I’m a devil and I can kill you whenever I want, whenever I please. It’s your job, you’re a devil hunter, I’m a devil… and I hate you.” He hissed quietly, “Stop being so nice to me, stop going out of your way to do things for me, stop protecting me, and stop…”
Fuck, my face is turning red.
“Are you even listening to me?” he pressed harder, “Answer me!” you grunt in response, “What am I even doing?” he lets you go, you hold your chest as you catch your breath, looking at the floor. Angel held his hand in his other, looking at you as you started backing up.
Coughing, you shake your head, “Yeah, what are you doing?” you question, touching your neck with your fingertips.
“...I hate you.” he muttered out before throwing his coat onto the floor and rushing towards his room. Well, it was your room before he moved in. Now you sleep on the couch.
“No you don’t! I know you don’t hate me because if you did you would’ve killed me– actually touched me!” You shout, voice cracking as you do so, “God, Angel!” you slam the still open front door, locking it from the inside.
I hope you don’t report me. I want to stay. I want to stay with you– why did I do that? Why did I say that? Am I actually… no, I am a devil. What am I even doing here? I haven’t wanted to live for a long time. Why did you have to change that for me? I hate you so much, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you… and I hate that I can’t touch you for real.
Angel was splayed out across the bed, it was a queen sized one, perhaps too big for how small the room was. The same three minutes repeated in his brain, how close his face was with yours, how close he was from actually, really touching you. So close to actually draining the life from you, so close from watching the life leave you. It was scary. What would he do if you died? The most likely answer was to die, the higher ups would never let him live. The less likely answer would be to sit in a cell and rot all day. Making a few weapons every week or so, in which case, he would most definitely prefer to die.
Outside the door, you knocked gently.
Not right now.
You knocked again, harder.
“Go away.” Angel mumbled into the pillow he claimed as his own.
I don’t want to see you. I don’t want to hurt you.
“Are you alright, Angel?” your voice echoed through his mind,
I should be the one asking you that.
He didn’t respond. You doubted we would’ve in the first place. Maybe it was too early, you understood. “I’ll have some food outside the door for you. You can get it whenever you want to. Sorry, Angel.”
Why are you apologizing?
The meal that waited outside his door wasn’t really a meal. Just a collection of snacks, not that you had much food in the house to begin with. He did eventually open the door to eat, but it was in the middle of the night while you were dozing off on the couch.
You didn’t know it, but he watched you sleep. Very intently, he watched you sleep. The way your face looked extra peaceful, the redness still lingering on your neck, the way your chest rose up and down with each breath and quiet snore. He stayed and sat there watching every small movement you made, each crevice and curve that made your body. He sat there for about an hour. His favorite part of the experience was the color on your face as the light from his halo reflected against it.
I think that I love you, and I hate that.

In the middle of the night, Angel woke up. Someone like him falls asleep easily and takes a long time to fully wake up, only listening to his internal alarm clock: his stomach. Checking the clock, he realized he couldn't exactly read the one on the wall, it was too dark out so he deduced it was somewhere around midnight and 4. Wandering into the kitchen, he did his best to make sure his steps were quiet, purposefully avoiding any floorboards that creaked. The automatic light in the kitchen turned on, startling him just a bit. His wings stretched as his hands reached towards the freezer's handle.
Opening it slowly to not draw attention to himself, he quickly grabbed one of the tubs of ice cream he had bought with his own money. In fact, almost the entire freezer is full of ice cream. The majority of them are already open and half empty, thanks to Angel’s newfound enjoyment of choice. You had to teach him the difference between a fridge and a freezer, and that ice cream indeed does melt in the sun and the fridge– which he only understood because the next time he opened the fridge his ice cream had become liquid.
Sitting at the table with his tub and a spoon he started digging in, eating one by one, spoonful by spoonful. As time went past, the automatic lights turned back off, and now he was eating ice cream in the dark as his roommate slept on the couch in the next room over. In fact, there were no walls separating the two of you. Angel stared out into the dark, letting the sweetness melt on his tongue.
“Angel?” your voice echoed through the apartment, it was quiet, but so was everything else that night which made your voice louder than expected. “What am I saying? Of course it’s you.” The lights flickered on again as you stepped into the kitchen. “What are you doing up so late?”
“I got hungry.”
“I see that,” you pulled a chair across from him, “Can I get some?”
He looked at you with his cheek resting on his palm, thinking. He shook his head in response, “Why would I do that?”
“Because I’m your buddy and you like me?” You purr, pouting your lip at him.
“...I don’t like you, I hate you.”
“You’re still on that?” You sigh, laying back into your chair. “We all know that’s not true. You’re a total liar, devils always tell lies. Come on!” You reached out to the spoon that was still in his hands, but still laying inside the tub. He flinched away from you before pulling the tub away from you.
“No, it’s mine. I bought it.”
“Yeah? With whose money?”
“...my money.” he replied, squinting his eyes at you.
“No, it’s my money that I’ve given to you because Public Safety refused to give you a salary.”
“But you gave it to me so it’s mine.” he mumbled, putting another scoop into his mouth.
“Angel, you live in my house, you eat my food, you’re literally wearing my shirt with a hole ripped into the back.”
He groaned and rolled his eyes, “You didn’t need to do any of that stuff… but,” he pushed the tub towards you, “Just take whatever you want.”
You took the spoon and took a bite, it wasn’t really your favorite flavor, in fact, it was quite gross. “Ew, what is this?”
“I don’t know, I don’t remember. It all tastes the same to me.”
“Tell that to all the fall eaten boxes in the freezer… aww, we totally just kissed just now!” You hummed, pushing the tub back to him.
“What?”
“Humans call sharing saliva by using the same straw, eating utensil, gum… just anything that touches another person's mouth and yours an indirect kiss.” Your voice got quiet at the end, it was quite the embarrassing situation to be in. Then, the lights turned off.
A kiss?
It’s not a big deal, but to someone who couldn’t kiss at all, it was. Angel’s face got hot, he was so happy that the lights were gone and that you couldn’t see him at all. Or, most of him. You turned around and walked back to the couch, where the lights did turn back on… but you weren’t facing him, and you didn’t look back, so you couldn’t see how flushed his face was. And it was real red.
Why would you say that? A kiss? With a human? That’s stupid. You’re stupid. An indirect kiss, what a stupid concept.
He slammed the freezer door shut, treading off back to his bedroom, the wings on his back wrapping itself around his body. He should’ve just ignored his stomach and kept sleeping, everything here could’ve been avoidable.
Tossing and turning, sleep didn’t come to him. His halo annoyed him, why wasn’t he able to turn it off. His wings were scrunched up behind him, but he couldn’t bother to move his body to fix it. The shirt he was wearing, your shirt, didn’t feel right on his body. Was it normal for humans to share this much, be this intimate, kiss…? Perhaps he should enlighten himself with human shows, and books, and… but that would be far too much work. He stayed up for what was probably another hour, luckily the two of you didn’t have work the next day or else he would’ve been in trouble. Though, you were usually the one to do most of the paper work and going on patrol was becoming less and less frequent for the two of you.
His guilty pleasure usually calms him— not that he wasn’t calm about the kissing situation, it wasn’t even a real kiss— but watching you sleep tended to end with him breathing less heavily, usually. His steps were as light as a feather, in a different position as his usual one, he stood behind the couch, leaning and looking down at you. You were so tranquil, in his eyes, you were the angel. The low glow from his halo accentuated your features, his eyes flicked to your lips. A kiss with his angel…
You woke up, blinking. Above you stood an angel, your angel. You blinked harder, surely this was just an illusion, but it wasn’t. And he’s still there, staring at you– no, he was backing up now. Has this been a recent thing? Or has he been watching you sleep for a long time now? You didn’t say anything, you didn’t move. In turn, he didn’t move either.
“Is this a regular thing for you?” You broke the silence, smiling uneasily. He was still a little blurry to you, blinking harder while you rub your eyes.
“No.”
“You’re such a liar.” You sat up straight, turning around to take a better look at him, “Not that I can see you too well, but I can see it on your face.”
“No.”
“You can admit it, you wanna sleep with me. You’re lonely.” You lean on your arm as it rests on the back of the couch.
“No– what?” He stumbled back further, “No, no. Absolutely not.”
“Do you say anything other than no? It’s okay, I have trouble sleeping too, so you can sit next to me… and we can talk.” You patted the spot next to you. He looked reluctant, but he moved around to sit next to you anyway.
“I wasn’t having trouble sleeping, I was just…”
“I understand, I remember you said something about having nightmares, it’s totally okay. I get them sometimes too!” You pulled him close to you, pushing his head towards your chest, a blanket in between the two of you to make sure there's no skin to skin contact, “I haven’t had one in a long time, you must be subconsciously eating my bad dreams or something.”
“That’s not how my power works.” He spoke in your chest, his hand coming up to try and push himself away from you.
“Well? Tell me about your nightmares, it helps a lot when you tell others about your problems.” You didn’t let him go.
“I didn’t have a nightmare.” In reality, his nightmares haven’t been as common as they used to be… he wonders to himself if you’re the reason for that, “I just couldn’t fall asleep tonight.”
“Yeah? Why’s that?”
“I don’t know. Too much sugar before bed, I guess.” He told the partial truth, more like a lie, but he couldn’t tell you that you were the reason he couldn’t go back to sleep, “...and thoughts.”
“It’s hard to believe you actually use your brain to think. All I see you do is zone out!”
“Well when I’m ‘zoning out’ I’m thinking.” He huffed, finally pulling away from you, “I don’t zone out, either. All humans do is tell themselves lies.”
“Mhm… then what do you think about?”
Your lips.
“Nothing in particular. Usually I’m hungry.”
“Are you still hungry now? There’s no take out places open at this hour… I could try making something, but–” you stood up from the couch, squinting towards the dark kitchen.
“No!” He pulled you back down, grabbing you by the sleeve of your shirt. “I mean. No, I’m not hungry right now. Just regular insomnia, so stay here.”
You looked down at him, you could barely see the face he was making, but it was definitely a pleading one, and it was real cute. “You want me to stay that bad? Any reason in particular?” you tease, plopping back down next to him.
“...”
“Ah, whatever.” you yawn, putting a pillow in between yours and Angels bodies before making yourself comfortable. The silence became awkward, you almost fell asleep. “Have you ever thought about being human?”
He flinched, like the words hurt him. He had, of course he had, he was one of the most humanoid devils there were. In fact, this was his devil form outright. The idea of being human… he had let go of it a long time ago. “When I was… how should I put it? Younger?”
“Aw! Baby Angel!”
“No. Just a long time ago, I was never a baby.” He sighed.
“Aw man” you pouted, pushing him lightly. He tensed up before calming down again, “sorry.”
“Why are you so touchy?”
“I get touchy when I’m tired I guess, sorry.”
“You weren’t like this at all before… you weren’t as talkative, you weren’t as touchy, you..”
“I’m just opening up to you. Do you not like it?” You frowned.
“No, it’s all new to me. That’s all.” He rested his head against the side of the couch. “All my previous buddies were nothing like this. They were all distant and… I usually spent all my time in my cell and now I’m here.”
“Feeling grateful?”
“If you were to put it in human words, yes. But devils don’t feel grateful. Only for their lives.”
“Is that so?” You hum, your hands playing with a spare feather that had fallen onto the pillow, “You really aren’t grateful for any of the stuff I’ve done for you?”
“It’s not your fault that I can’t feel it.”
“Then what can you feel?”
“…guilt.” He mumbled, he wasn’t quite sure why he was telling you this. Maybe your words had gotten to him, or maybe he was too tired to control himself. “Whenever I take the life span away from a human, I feel guilt.”
“That isn’t very devil-like.”
“I’m still an angel, so I guess it makes sense.” His wings fluttered again, wrapping themself around his body— like a ball.
“You tired yet?” You ask. He nods in response, you can tell by the way his halo started to bob up and down. You smile gently as you grab another blanket that had fallen onto the floor and rested it onto him. “Good.”
Before you could get up to leave, his voice cracked through the air, “please don’t leave yet. I’m still awake.” He shot up, leaning over the pillow to look at you. The glow of his halo reflected against your eyes as you swallowed hard.
You sat in silence again, but this time you were looking in his eyes, his ruby-like eyes. Sighing, you pulled him onto you again, toppling over the pillow barrier. Now he laid on top of you, your arms holding him tight. Stroking his hair softly, you started to hum out a lullaby. The song was simple, definitely not the best vocals… you were tired and laying on your back of course, but it was nostalgic. Continuing to smooth out the stray strands on Angel’s hair, “you asleep yet?”
“No.”
“Should I keep going?–”
“Hey,” He popped his head up.
“Yeah?”
“I think I like you.”
“Yeah, I think you do too.”

The first thing Percival thought of when waking up from his second “death” was you, he even asked Nasiens where you were but they didn’t have a clue. Even when reuniting with Anne and Donny Percival begged to know where you have gone. As before he wasn’t able to tell you his true feelings and he missed you. He felt bad for leaving you so he needed you find you. But Anne told him that a month after his death you went out on a mission to get into Camelot, you only went on this mission to take your mind off of Percival. And it’s been two years since you were seen it was like you vanished.
So after entering the tournament Defeating every other opponent. Percival thought that it was time to finally face Beltreipe he was shocked that the green knight announced he had to defeat one more person to get to him. Percival was ready as he had to finish this so he can get everyone home and find you. But to his shock a chaos knight came out but the voice that greeted him was yours.
Percival couldn’t believe it he called out your name but you didn’t reply. He thought that it was because of the helmet. So while you two fought he cut it in half revealing your face. Percival smiled and rushed to hug you but you only attacked him.
Percival thought it was because of the bells Gawain had placed on him so he took them off trying to talk to you.
“Y/n it’s me your Percy, I’m sorry I left. I want to start over again with you, so please stop fighting me”. “I don’t know you and I’m sure not Y/n I am only here to help cure the love of my life Diodora”.
Percival heart sank hearing those words, you loved someone else. Percival knew something happened you lost your memory like Tristan so he planned on fixing it. “Y/n just know I love you and I’m going to make you remember” “Bring it on knight of death”.
Percival knew he had to win this fight and if it means defeating you to bring your memories back he’ll do anything.
Despite the stress of my new semester I am desperate to at least write something and since I just finished the last episode of Black Clover I thought that I would write some short drabble. Honestly though, if it comes to potential rivalries or poly!relationships Black Clover has to be one of the most fun potentials for me. There are literally so many possibilities and so I'm just going to write for one certain dynamic I especially like in the context of them falling for the same s/o and no, it isn't Asta and Yuno.
❌🔥Geez, talk about two peas from the same pod. In more than just one way Asta and Leopold are very similar to each other, especially in regards to their stubborn and straightforward nature as well as their tendency to act first and think afterwards. It doesn't really take long for either of them to fall fast and hard for their darling and once that infatuation has taken hold you get two men suddenly shouting at you to please marry them as they just blurt their feelings out. Perhaps with Asta it is less shocking as he is known for being loud and just speaking up with whatever is on his mind. Leopold on the other hand is a descendant from one of noble families in the Clover Kingdom and especially with the way his older brother carries himself around with so much charisma and strength this blunt confession comes as a shock for those who are around as he so thoughtlessly, so unfitting for someone of his status, asks for your hand in marriage. To Leopold's credit though, he is afterwards more ashamed than Asta as soon as he has realised what he has done, clasping his hands over his mouth as his entire face turns as red as the flames that he wields.
❌🔥Whilst Leopold has always been a rival of Asta he has never really been the rival of Asta as that title goes to Yuno. However, that changes somewhat as Asta finds out that apparently Leopold is in love with you as well as the incident where the youngest sibling of the Vermillions confessed to you out of the blue goes around quickly. And Asta with his competitive and straightforward nature is just not the type to play the long game nor any mindgames as he quickly seeks out the other boy and declares loudly to him that he is in love with you as well and that he won't lose to Leopold. Leopold himself isn't really that shocked nor surprised when Asta confesses that he loves you as well. He expected after all nothing less from his rival! Asta has great taste when it comes to the person he falls in love with! Neither of those two even attempt to hide the newly lit competition that they have going on and it becomes very quickly obvious to everyone that they're fighting for your heart. Asta and Leopold are very healthy with their rivalry though since both have a lot of respect for the other which means that things are fierce and passionate but never escalate into an ill will against the other.
❌🔥The Black Bulls are Asta's personal cheering squad, though some show it in more interesting ways than others. The most openly supportive are Finral, Vanessa, Charmy, Magna, Gray and in his own creepy ways Gordon as well. The others are obviously also secretly rooting for Asta but aren't quite as vocal and passionate about it as the other members. People like Nacht, Zora and Gauge would probably never admit it out loud that they're secretly wishing this stubborn and loud idiot only the best. Leopold obviously also receives a lot of support and advice from his own squad but his older siblings have perhaps the most interesting reactions. Fuegoleon is still recovering from the fact that his brother fell out of the blue so deeply in love with someone, shocked that his younger brother has found someone before he has. Mereoleona on the other hand is roaring with laughter when she hears about the story and Leopold is silently terrified of the day where she decides to take a look at you herself to see what kind of person you are for her youngest brother to fall so deeply in love with you. Neither one of those would ultimately care though whether you're a peasant or not, especially Mereoleona.
❌🔥The more you spend time with those two the more you are convinced that they must be long lost brothers of some sort because the more they compete over you the more alike they become. You hear both of them before you even see them as they always turn it into a race who can reach you faster whenever both are searching for you and bump into the other who is currently also trying to find you, screaming at each other as they sprint through the streets whilst calling your name. Now, Asta is a peasant whilst Leopold is nobility which means that Leopold has a financial advantage but he has never once considered using that. It would feel dishonest and lazy to him, especially since he witnesses how hard Asta is working all by himself to impress you and Leopold strives to do the same. He wants you to love him after all for the person that he is and not for the influence and the money that his family possesses. When Asta hands you a bouquet of flowers he picked from the forest then Leopold is doing the same, refusing to buy flowers from a store. You're worth all the effort he can give after all so soon you have him kneeling on one knee in front of you whilst he offers you the flowers he picked.
❌🔥Both of them are very similar when it comes to the way their obsession manifests even. Both are quickly starstruck with you and from the very beginning very open and honest about their feelings even if Leopold attempts to still obtain some dignity as not only a member of the Crimson Lions but also as a Vermillion. Spoiler, it often fails as he often gets pulled along with Asta's infectious passion and antics more than just once. Both are very protective of you, especially if you are a Magic Knight who gets discriminated for being a peasant or for not being strong enough in the eyes of others. Asta even more so than Leopold as he knows firsthand how discriminating people can be against others since magic is everything in this kingdom. Asta's dense nature is the major reason why he is very much delusional as he doesn't perceive his obsession as one and coupled with his tenacious personality you better give up on hoping that he will ever give up on you. Leopold is a bit more lucid than Asta yet he isn't completely self-aware either as he tends to be someone who feels more and thinks less when it comes to you. He does know that neither he or Asta would ever hurt you though which calms him.
❌🔥Fun fact, I believe that Asta would come to an agreement with Leopold to share you faster than he would be if it were Yuno who also fell in love with you. Not much is changing though even after both Magic Knights have agreed to share you as they still keep their competitive nature up even afterwards. They spend even more time with you now than they have before but they're just starting now to actually initiate physical touches with you. Asta, as dense and delusional as he is, grew up in a church after all and his childhood crush on Sister Lily has caused him to be rather chivalrous, meaning that as loud as he is and as often as he proclaims his love for you, he is very respectful with the way he touches you and you're actually surprised when he always asks you if he can hold your hand or kiss you. Leopold tries to follow Asta's example as good as he can but if there is one of them who is more prone to be somewhat more dirty-minded it is definitely Leopold and then it is always Asta who literally yanks him back by his collar and proclaims shocked and very loudly so that you end up hearing it as well that the youngest Vermillion shouldn't do that.
Okay I feel you were going to be a bit confused and sorry but here we go.

When his child could use magic for the very first time, he was stunned. The power to wield Steel. Just like his beloved mother, Acier.
He couldn't deny, but it made him think about the past again and in the beginning, he didn't like seeing his child use their power. He felt it was like a bad omen.
He even hated whenever people compared his child and Acier and would deny that they had anything alike each other. He would be grumpy for the entire day.
It would take a lot of coaxing and persuasion from his partner or close friends before he could let it go and instead embrace the fact.
He wondered if it was his mom that was reborn as his child in her next life.
Nozel absolutely spoils this child - He thinks this child is meant for great things. At the same time, he's fiercely protective over this child, because he feared that something similar might happen to them, just as his mom.
Again, Nozel Silva is the type of husband that would need a lot of guidance from his other half, especially when it comes to their children, before he goes beyond the point of extremes again.
Dorothy (late gn! s/o)
When she realises her child has the exact same power as her late s/o, she goes all silent. Everyone around her realises except the child and they all avoid talking about it seeing the change in character of Dorothy.
She sleeps a lot more than usual after that. She's always in her dream world, so she could "meet" and "talk to" her "other half". She would ask them why, of all powers their child could have, it has to be the same as theirs. What are the odds and coincidence.
After some time in her dream world, she would go back to her cherry and loud self when she's awake, but nobody knows, whenever she sees her child use their power, she misses her partner a lot inside.
She is very positive and encouraging towards her child. She wants the child to be just as great or even better than her significant other. She knows that her partner would have been proud to see their child.
She will do anything in her power to protect her child - the only thing that her partner left behind for her.
Fuegoleon Vermillion (late f! s/o)
He was happy that his child had inherited his wife's power more than anything else. That way, he felt that she was still there with him.
He would love and treasure this child to no ends and would give them anything they wanted, as long as it is not harmful.
He tries very hard to raise the child as he thought you would and would help sharpen their skills. Whenever he trained them, he felt like he was training / fighting alongside his beloved wife.
At some point he wondered if he was being delusional, for he wanted to see his child's power just so he could reminisce his dead wife.
He does have his mood swings on days as well; there will be days where he doesn't want to see his child in training / fighting. Those were the days where he missed his beloved a little too much and that seeing anything that was related to her was too much for him to bear.
It was difficult with her around, but Fuego still did what he thought was the best for the child.
Every night he was ask if she was watching from above at their spectacular child that was exactly the carbon copy of her.
The thrumming of the music and the moving bodies helped ease your nerves. Your suit acting as a form of comfort and armor for the boiling rage coursing threw you. You were set to take over the crew once your old man died, unfortunately he had no plans on allowing you to lead them. He never believed in your leadership skills, always saying how much he contempts you for being a woman.
"Your mother knew her place. That's why she married a powerful man." You were 16 when he first said that to you and you, just like your father, had no ability to filter yourself.
"No, i think that's why she fucked my uncle." Yeah, you two didn't have all that great of a relationship and it only helped make your decision to get rid of him easier. You sat in your private area of the club your gang controlled and swirled your drink as you watched everyone enjoy their time. This wasn't something you even enjoyed but the free alcohol was great, especially when you weren't paying for any of it.
"Ms-"
"Y/n would do fine, Jiro." You interrupted. Jiro's been one of your closest allies since you were both children. Your distastes for your father wasn't lost on the other woman and Jiro having witnessed how your father undermined you, you made a pretty good bond with her. She wasn't one to take threats lightly, so it was only right to have her be your bodyguard. With your agile mind and her agile body the two of you were powerful adversaries to your father.
"Y/n, we have new rookies that we want your approval for. They're by the bar with Aoyama. I think he might be talking their ears off about his new Versace coat." Jiro said while rolling her eyes. You chuckled at her reaction and got up from your place on the couch.
"Well, lets go meet them." The two of you left the lounge towards the bar and were greeted by the sight of Aoyama practically laying down over the counter. The three people seated in front of him consisted of two men and a woman.
"Hey there, hows your drinks?" You caught their attention and Aoyama got off the counter once noticed you. You smiled at them, hoping that it hid your lingering anger at the thoughts of your father.
"I'm sure you all know who i am but incase you didn't i'm Y/n. I'm the boss's "righthand"." You emphasized. Your father didn't see you as part of the crew, to him you were just his brat of a kid who wore a suit and was to childish to be left in charge of anything. Totally not like your the one making deals with other gangs or working out the numbers for the drug deals your crew conducted.
"Uh, where's the boss at? Not that it isn't an honor being in his child's presence, but i thought we'd be meeting him instead." Your eye twitched a little at the mention of him but he was of course the face of the crew, so you swallowed down the bitter anger for the second time that night, and just continued smiling like an idiot.
"Yeah well, he had business to attend to but i'm here to get y'all started with the basics of how we function." You gave Aoyama a look and he walked over to you, leaning towards you to whisper into your ear.
"The grey haired one is Tetsutetsu, interesting name, but he's an active underground fighter who was recommended to us by one of our associates. The woman is Kendo, known for being the daughter of a wealthy businessman, she's also a great strategist in her own right as well as an accountant. The last one is Monoma, insane bastard that one." Aoyama didn't emphasize anything more about the blond and you gave him a confused look.
"Alright? Anything more to add." Aoyama only shook his head at you and moved in front of the 3 new members of the crew.
"Well, since we need to get moving je vais te montrer le chemin to our vip lounge were we can discuss your duties in detail, oui?" He turned to face you again and gave you a nervous smile, quickly changing it for one of joy. You continued to look at the 3 rookies and and simply smiled at them as they passed you and Jiro.
"We should go ahead with the plan." Jiro turned to you with a nervous look on her face.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." You turned to look at her, your smile gone and instead replaced with a grim expression.
"They can help us since they're new and hold no loyalties yet." You walked away from Jiro and headed towards the vip lounge where Aoyama and the rookies would be. Maybe this wasn't going to be a huge waste of your time after all.
"So we're to take on a big job soon?" Kendo asked. You nodded at her in response and allowed Jiro to continue explaining.
"This will show where your loyalty falls under. Y/n is the next person in line for the "throne" and we can't have anyone trying to get to that position other than her." Tetsutetsu raised his hand in response.
"But shouldn't you take care of the job yourself to show that you're the one that needs to be in charge?" You chuckled at his question and straightened yourself from the your position by the wall, walking towards the couch right across from the rookies and sitting down with your legs spread open. You got comfortable in the position and laid your arms over your legs as you leaned your upper body back to look at them.
"I never said you would be the one taking out the job, did i?" You smirked at them. As of then moment, the Monoma guy who Aoyama had deemed an "insane bastard" hadn't spoken at all, instead he sat there looking mildly lost and incredibly nervous. He was a cute one, you could admit to that, but he sure was getting on your nervous with the lack of questions and comments coming from him.
"Any other concerns? How about you blondie?" Monoma shot his head up to look at you. His eyes were wide and his leg started to bounce a little when you called him out.
"Ah, n-no." So this was the insane bastard that Aoyama feared? If anything, the guy was a nervous wreck just by being in your presence. How cute.
"Alright, anyone else?" Kendo gave Monoma a quick look and directed herself back at you.
"So, who is it exactly?" You leaned forward, body slouching over your open legs, face looking directly at Kendo. She was smart to guess it was a person you were referring to.
"It's my old man." She leaned back and crossed her arms.
"So your father won't give you his position, so you're taking it by force?"
"Yep." Kendo dropped her arms and just stared at you for moment.
"What do you want us to do?" You grinned at her and turned to stare directly at Monoma.
"We can't go into this without something planned. Let's get working on this little business venture, shall we?"
Your home was what you would call "spacious", humble even. To someone like Jiro and Tetsutetsu, it was what a normal person would call a mansion. The first time Jiro came to visit you she couldn't pick her lower jaw from the floor. She couldn't believe that her childhood best friend was this rich and powerful yet held no power or say in the crews dealings. So just imagine how the new rookies reacted.
"Wow boss woman! This is your house?" Tetsutetsu shouted. The grey haired man kind of grew on you a little bit. He was a ball of joy and energy, it was difficult to think that this was the same man who would send people to the hospital for fun.
"Yep. I moved out at 16 so i didn't need to deal with my father constant nagging." Tetsutetsu's jaw dropped completely and Kendo had to help pick it up for him.
"You're that rich boss woman?"
"Yes Tetsu. My family is the mafia after all." You couldn't help but smile every time he spoke, he was such ray of joy. You lead them to your lounge room and had them tell your butler what they wanted to drink.
"Now that were here we should discuss a few things. Mainly what you can do for me regarding my little problem." You smiled at them.
"Since im a strategist and also an accountant, you can rely on me to help out with your fathers money transactions. I have good ties so i'm sure my own father can put in a good word for me." You nodded at Kendo and looked at Tetsutetsu next. The butler came in with your drinks and handed them out as Tetsutetsu spoke.
"Tetsu?" You asked trying to get him to focus. He was silently twirling his thumbs, a slight blush obvious on his face. He quickly grabbed his drink and took a sip before speaking.
"Oh aaah, i'm the muscle?" You nodded at him giving him a bigger smile then before. God he was so adorable for a muscle head.
"I- i can take care of the problem for you." You turned to look at the blonde who finally decided to speak after all this time.
"What?" He looked up at you, his light blue eyes and white pupils felt like the were staring at your soul.
"I-I can take care of your f-father for you. You wouldn't need to kill him y-yourself." His voice was very gentle but his eyes were cold and served as a complete betrayal of his person. Monoma wasn't a gentle soul playing around with the mafia world, he was someone who knew the risks and was willing to throw in all his cards the moment he needed to. He was the "Gambler" after all. You did your research once you had the time. Aoyama would never drop something so huge on you like calling a new rookie a "insane bastard" without a valid reason. Monoma was responsible for robberies and multiple murders in different prefectures. He wasn't one to take lightly, so you naturally knew that he was capable of more.
"I appreciate the offer but i never mentioned killing him, Gambler." Monomas demeanor changed slightly. The murderers eyes widened and a light tint made itself known on his face. What a cute little blood thirsty psycho you had at your disposal.
"I- um-" You giggled at Monoma's expression and shook your head at him.
"Don't worry Monoma, I was planning on killing him. Though, i rather do it myself instead of relying on my new goon." You smiled. You all made a solid plan as to how you would carry out the deed. This was the long con, you needed to prove yourself as a capable leader in front of your soon to be crew. It didn’t matter how long it would take, just that it needed to come off as perfect.
7 months after the first meeting and every aspect of your plan had fallen into place. Kendo had secured herself a position close to you and your father. She publicly spoke badly of you to keep herself on your fathers good side, but you could see how she slowly came to realize why you hated him so much. Tetsutetsu acted as messenger boy and muscle for your father, a bodyguard that your father would take all over the place and would end up informing you of your fathers every move. Cute and dedicated, just how liked them. Monoma in the other had was different. Your father threw a fit when you insisted on having Monoma, or as your father would call him, Gambler by your side instead of his.
“Weren’t you the same woman saying you didn’t need anyone to protect you?” Your father smirked.
“Aren’t you the same big bad boss that has to pay a literally woman to figure out how to pay your bills and use your phone?” You bit back. In the end you got what you wanted and Monoma stayed by your side the entire time. He was very fidgety around people and always kept a low profile but even doing all of that it couldn’t hide what he really was. Since he started working under you, these little gifts started to pop up from time to time. All were clearly meant to hold romantic interest but you were a busy woman with actually shit to do, these gifts would never get in the way of your work.
“We finish him off tonight, understood?” You spoke to Monoma. Monoma briefly catched your eyes and nodded his head. It was still difficult to believe that the man in front of you was genuinely deranged, but of course you couldn’t say anything about it. You were the woman that had planned her own fathers death since you got the ability to see him work in person, so essentially since the age of 12.
“Great, let’s head to the club.” You both got into the car and you had Monoma sit in the passenger seat. He kept looking at you from time to time and twirled his thumbs nervously as he maintained his hunched position. It looked like something was on his mind but he couldn't get it out.
"Something wrong?" You asked him as you kept your eyes on the road. Monoma tensed and immediately relaxed.
"I uh- i was wondering what would h-happen to me after we finish taking your f-father out?" You looked at him briefly before directing yourself forward again.
"You will still be in the crew, just not by my side." Monomas head snapped towards you. It freaked you out how intense his gaze was on you even though you couldn't look at him. You felt him bore his eyes into the side of your face.
"So you don't want me near you?" Monomas voice was no longer shaky around the edges but firm and forward. The nervous stutter no where to be seen.
"Thats not the case at all Monoma." You turned to look at him briefly. He had gotten closer to you, face inches away from your own. God he was terrifying. No wonder other members in the crew feared him, but you couldn't show fear. You looked away again, disguising it as you needing to look at the road as he waited for your response.
"The reason for your removal from your current position will be to get rid of suspicion. It would look odd if you're seen with me after my fathers death since. The rest of the crew will suspect you had something to do with it. I need to be seen as responsible for his death since it would help elevate my status and truly solidify myself as the one true boss." You explained. Monoma appeared to ease a little and sat back down at a comfortable distance. You both kept quiet and eventually got to the club. Your father was already inside waiting for you and Monomas arrival, Kendo stood outside of the club to tell you what your father was up to.
"Kendo."
"Y/n." You both walked inside and she leaned into you to whisper that your father was in the lounge area. You and Monoma made your way there, leaving Kendo behind to get your father "a drink" at the bar. You moved threw the crowds of people, some of them reaching out to you looking for attention. Hands pulling at your suit, changing its pristine and polished look to that of rugged. The pleas and moans of the club goers for you to join them was lost to you, your dream was soon arriving and you couldn't wait anymore. Monoma who was behind you glared at everyone one who placed there hands onto you. Who did these people think they were to touch you like they knew you? You were the boss, people should have more respect for you. You finally reached the vip lounge and were face to face with your father.
"Hi." You sneered out.
"Do you not have an ounce of respect! Do you need to relearn your place in this world!?" You only rolled your eyes at him and moved further into the lounge to sit across from him. Monoma came in after you and sat next to you, his head tilted down and his hands out in the open over his legs. Good.
"Father, did Kendo show you our numbers for the month?" You got right into business, no point in wasting the little time you had left with him. Monoma kept quiet and either zoned in or out of the boring conversation. He honestly didn't care about it, his main focus was keeping you safe and helping you get rid of your father. It was a weird situation for him to be in, he usually doesn't partner with others long term. Usually he would jump from one organization or partner to another instead of sticking around, so this was all bizarre to him. You were so powerful and power was his main attractor. He didn't look like much, he was average build and a little taller then most people, but he was nothing like Tetsutetsu. He felt kind of...insecure? Jealous? Maybe it's jealousy that he felt when you smiled at any of Tetsutetsu's mannerisms or how you gave him a nickname off the bat but not Monoma. Monoma didn't get that special treatment and it made something in him twist.
"Monoma let's go." He snapped out of his trance and saw you stand up with your father, the two of you looking at him. Monoma nodded and stood up fixing his clothing as he followed you and your father into a private office.
"Monoma, stand by the door would you?" Monoma nodded and stood but he door, essentially blocking it so no one could come in or out. He admired you as you stood across from your father and how you both started to yell at each other. The music outside became louder and drowned out the noise of your father and you fighting, him screaming about how much of a treacherous bitch you were. The sound of someone launching an animalistic growl was drowned as well. The sight of you plunging a knife into the other mans throat and repeating the same stabbing motion my his chest was carnal. The noise hadn't come back to him but Monoma could still see. You were heavenly in the cool lighting, blood dripping down your hand and your lip busted from the struggle your father put on. You turned to face him now allowing him to see you completely. Your clothing was seeping with blood that wasn't your own and your hair was matted with it as well. You were power embodied with a sea of godlike elegance. Whatever entity gave him the right to witness you like this, he would be sure to thank it once he could.
"Alright, now for your part." Monoma came back to the reality of the situation and helped you place the body in the guest chair while you sat down in the main one. This was your office and back at headquarters it will hold your thrown. Monoma left the office and made his way to were Kendo was sitting at the bar with the "bosses" drink. She sipped it calmly and only addressed him once he was sitting next to her.
"She did it?"
"Yes." Kendo nodded and took another swig from her drink. They stayed in silence till the club was ordered to close do to an "emergency". They were all called into the backroom where dancers, bartenders, and gang members all waited and watched you readjust your sleeve cuffs.
"I'm sure my appearance is alarming, but it had to be done," You straighten up and looked at your crew. "The old Boss is dead. I will be taking over as the Boss." You looked around the room and shook your left hand out, blood spilling onto the concrete floor in splatters.
"Any problems with that?" Everyone shook their head, your gang especially. You nodded back at their silent response and walked over to the backroom entrance doors.
"Fantastic, how about you guys take care of the mess in the office?" People started to move around, cleaning up blood and fixing the main floor for next nights patrons. You decide to go to the locker rooms to clean yourself up, the blood was starting to dry and it smelled horrible. Once you got there you took off your suit jacket, and began to unbutton your vest. It felt nice to be out of your semi restricting clothing, but you did prefer the polish look. Looks were important in the mafia, without them no one would take you seriously. As you washed your hands, the blood turned the clear water red, the locker room door opened to reveal the tall blond who helped you kill your father. He walked up next to you with a towel in his hand.
"May i?" You nodded at him and sat on the counter next to the sink. He took the towel and wet it with the still running water. He came and stood in front of you, his face was flushed as he stood in between your opened legs. You didn't care, you weren't looking at him. Your eyes were focused on the ceiling and the bright lights that lined it. It wasn't pleasant, you'll admit to that much. You didn't enjoy having your fathers blood on you nor become what he used to be. But this was for the best. If he had stayed he would have handed the leadership to someone as old and sleazy as himself, the gang would had suffered and no progress would have been made.
"What was it like?" Monoma asked.
"Great."
Once you took over, everything began to improve. You were always a bit hot blooded, your fathers inheritance of course, but you also were rational. Like your mother. Code names began to be assigned and changed to keep everyone anonymous when in public. This was only rational after having Kendo and Monoma join your crew. Monoma especially was the biggest concern. He was a dedicated member, took risks and helped other members improve themselves. He still wouldn't be getting a higher position within the gang.
"Ms. Y/n, can i ask you about something?" You looked up from your paperwork and gave him your attention. He ended up changing a lot since joining, mainly in his build. His shoulders were broader and he's gain a decent amount of weight, he became more attractive. He was still "shy", or "nervous" as he would say he was, but most importantly he began to open up more about himself. He formed bonds with other lower ranking members and connections with those who were higher up the chain of command.
"I was wondering about the code names? I wanted to turn in my own request for myself."

"Phantom Thief, Ms." You chuckled and looked back down to your work.
"Nice name, keep it." You got back to work.

Making it to the edge of the red earth Usopp instantly panics not being able to see where Nami's cloud path is "Wh-where is it? The path has to be here" The Sniper panics making a pit form in your stomach and your hand squeezing Zoro's as your body stiffens "Wh-what about the lift?" You ask looking at Usopp who's trying to peek over the edge but not get too close to it "Those stupid marines destroyed it" Luffy growls biting his thumb as he thinks, it makes your chest hurt hearing the marines where happy to destroy their own stuff just to stop your crew. "What do we do? what do we do?" Usopp panics holding his hands to his head making you jump a little fearing building up inside making you feel sick and dizzy. "Will you knock it off" The swordsman yells feeling you panic so places an arm around your shoulders and pulls you into him trying to calm you down. Cavendish glares and tries to get out of the tight grip while yelling at the straw hat to let him go while you wrap your arms around Luffy's neck holding on tight as your captain laughs "Ready?" Luffy yells out as the rest of you yell out a loud "NO" but the captain just laughs and jumps off the edge. Screams fill the air as the girls cling on for dear life either to Luffy's arm, Cavendish or the horse while Chopper, Usopp and Bartolomeo cling onto each other crying and screaming. Zoro pulls your back into him trying to keep you close and secure while his other arm grabs Luffy's arm "Luffy, the hell?" The swordsman yells over the loud wind and the screaming around them, Luffy smiles big and turns to look at Zoro's pissed off face "Don't worry, we'll be fine" The captain yells back as you shut your eyes tight burring your head into Luffy's neck and grip onto him as hard as your tired arms will allow. With the ground in view Luffy blows on his thumb making his stomach and body expand until he hits the ground, his body bounces a few times before coming to a stop and starting to deflate letting you all go. Panting and shaking a little you keep clinging to Luffy but lift your head up to see the port covered in marines and member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet all fighting each other. Next to the Sunny where you could see Robin and Franky fighting, are other large pirate ships which belong to the captains of the straw hat grand fleet, it warms your heart to know that this many people are willing to help you and your crew even in this situation.
Zoro loosens his arm around you checking you over to make sure your ok, the feeling makes you let go of Luffy calming down from the long fall. You turn to the swordsman while Usopp, Cavendish and Chopper run over to the captain and start hitting him and yelling at him while Bartolomeo tries to beg them to stop soon resorting to grabbing Cavendish who kicks and screams. "Y/N" Three voices call out getting your attention before Zoro can ask anything, your eyes dart towards the voices seeing Brook, Nami and Sanji who all start running over to you all, with tears in your eyes and a large smile you open up your arms for the three to crash into you and hug you. Zoro goes to yell at them but stops when seeing your large smile and slight laughter of joy, ignoring the pain you hold the three to you feeling safer and safer the more of your crew joins you. Nami cry's into your chest while Sanji cry's into your shoulder both babbling out stuff you can't make out over their sniffles. Brook wipes his eye socket with a big smile letting go of you to place a hand on your head "We're glad to have you back" The musician helps you up onto your shaky legs once the other two have let you go but Nami hugs you again this time much lighter while trying to wipe her tears on her arm, with a smile your wrap your arms around her and stroke her hair. "Sorry guys" The skeleton turning to look at Luffy who's rubbing his head after being hit by several people and apologizing to a very angry Usopp and Chopper.
Sanji wipes away his tears before spotting the girls who are helping each other up trying to catch their breath after the long fall but staying close to Cavendish who helps some of them onto his horse which also seems to be panting with wide eyes. Noticing his heart eyes you let out a small laugh and place a hand on his shoulder trying to stop him from rushing in, you know he won't do anything to hurt them but after everything they have been through you don't want them to feel uncomfortable. "They were Charles's wives so please be gentle with your flirtations" The cooks eyes widen, but he nods at you before walking over to them and bowing introducing himself and making sure there ok. The girls turn to him kinda scared but when you give them a nod and a smile they seem to start talking back and introducing themselves much to Cavendish's dismay. Zoro makes his way over to Luffy placing a hand on his head while looking at Chopper and Usopp "Ok, i think that's punishment enough, we need to go" The swordsman groaned not wanting to stand around for too long, the pirates form the straw hat grand fleet where doing a good job at keeping the marines away from this little reunion, but he feared it won't last long especially since there seemed to be something coming their way. "The sunny's ready to leave, Franky's fully refueled it" Nami sniffs pulling away from you and looking over at the Sunny.
Standing Luffy adjusts his hat with a smile "Then lets get going" Everyone nods as the captain leads the way joined by Nami, Brook and Bartolomeo taking out anyone who gets in their way while Cavendish and Sanji protect the girls as the horse and Chopper carry them running after the captain. While running with Usopp and Zoro your legs start to hurt more and more, the pain in your thigh making you slow down, Zoro sighs and picks you up holding you while he runs, letting out a shocked gasp you push on his chest "Zoro i can-" you try to protest but the swordsman flashes you a glare "I know you want to be strong but you've been strong long enough... let me carry you" Your eyes tear up at his words, you hate that he's right, you don't want to be weak but your tired and in pain all you want is for this all to be over. Giving in you wrap your arms around his neck and lay your head on his shoulder while shifting your injured leg so its not rubbing against his chest as he runs "Thank you" you whisper making Zoro smile. "Watch out" Nami yells grabbing Luffy by the back of his shirt and pulling him back as the roster puts up a barrier to protect everyone from the large yellow beam of light that cuts through the floor. Skidding to a stop everyone stays behind the barrier as the beam disappears, Luffy growls as he steps back a bit recognizing that light. Your eyes widen when a flash of light appears behind the barrier a thin, long-legged man in a yellow striped suit and sunglasses smiles at the group making your stomach churn.
Kizaru tilts his head to the side looking at each person behind the barrier before his eyes land on you making your breath hitch in your throat, Zoro growls holding you closer while Luffy glares stepping to the side to get in the way of Admiral's view "Ohhhh, I'm not surprised you came for her but i have to say i am impressed that you made it this far, either way its over now so please, hand her and the other slaves over" Kizaru smiles keeping his hands in his pockets, his relaxed and calm determiner unnerved you, it seemed no matter what situation he was in he stayed very calm "Get out of our way, Were not handing any of them over" Luffy yells his eyes burning with anger, he just wanted to get everyone away from here but people keep getting in his way. "Guys, get the girls and Y/N to the Sunny, i can handle him" Luffy pulls his hat down getting ready for a fight, Sanji and Cavendish quickly nod taking the girls along with Chopper and the horse starting to make a run for it. Usopp sees the admirals eyes shift to them raising an eyebrow so fires an exploding star hitting Kizaru in the face blocking his view. Zoro nods at his Captain and starts running soon joined by Bartolomeo. Nami and Brook take off running too soon followed by Usopp as the smoke starts to clear. Luffy runs at the admiral jumping into the air and swinging his stretched out leg around to hit the admiral in the face, Kizaru sighs a finger in his ear as the smoke clears, the explosion to his face didn't affect him at all, he just seemed kinda board about it.
Luffy's foot almost connects with the Admiral's face but at the last minute Kizaru disappears in a flicker of light appearing behind the straw hat and kicking him away and into the concrete floor. Gasping you watch over Zoro's shoulder seeing the large dent in the floor where Luffy landed "Luffy" You yell pushing against Zoro fearing that your captain is hurt but the Swordsman refused to let you go "he'll be fine" Zoro tries to reassure you but yells out while jumping back when bullets of light head your way, letting your legs go the swordsman holds you close to his chest by your shoulder pulling his sword out and deflecting as many as he can. Bartolomeo stops in his tracks running back to you and Zoro while making a barrier to protect the two of you deflecting most of the bullets into the ground, dust and rubble flying up from the force. Luffy grows as he gets up off the ground stumbling a little as he does so, but he keeps looking around trying to find where Kizaru is, his eyes widen upon seeing a flash of light appear behind you and Zoro, "Behind you" The captain yells sprinting towards the two of you. Turning the swordsman tries to block the admirals kick but the force knocks him back sending him flying into Bartolomeo the two of them hitting his barrier, Kizaru's hand grabs your arm forcing you out of Zoro's grip before he goes flying and throwing you to the side. Luffy hardens his hand punching the admiral in the stomach making him wince in pain but hardly budge before grabbing the captains arm "Y/N RUN" Luffy yells as you try and get off the ground.
You wanted to move but your legs wouldn't let you, everything hurt as you panted trying to catch your breath after hitting the floor hard. You heard Luffy yell but you couldn't run, you couldn't stand even though you wanted too. Zoro groans as he sits up rubbing his head, Bartolomeo groans underneath him his nose and mouth bleeding while he tries to stay wake, the barrier he made was gone but the swordsman focused his attention of Kizaru who was kicking at Luffy, the captain threw punches yelling at you to get up but your body didn't seem to move much only managing to lift your upper body off the floor. Kizaru sighs taking his hands out of his pockets to make a long light sword swinging it at Luffy, Zoro runs over pulling out all his swords to block the attack so his captain could get a hit in. The admiral raised and eyebrow at them as Luffy blows on his thumb making his arm big and using his haki to make it hard, throwing his fist forward it connects with the Admiral's face "Gum Gum, Elephant gun", Zoro smiles pushing Kizaru's sword away before slashing across on the man "Nigiri: Toro Samon" the force of their joined attack sending him flying back and into a bunch of marines. Managing to catch your breath you look behind you to see your two boys panting and Kizaru laying on the ground a bunch of marines passed out under him, a smile forms on your face felling like its finally over.
Kizaru sighs while laying there, his nose and mouth bloody and his glasses slightly cracked "This is taking too looonnnggg" The man groans dragging out the last word before vanishing into light, the smile fades from your face as the admiral appears in front of you, he hums getting you to turn your head and look up at him with wide eyes. "I'll just take your head then" The man smiles as Luffy and Zoro turn to you starting to run as the man uses his hand to make a long light sword, you try to back away despite your legs hurting and refusing to let you stand up as the admiral brings the sword down. An arm goes around your waist as fire spreads across the floor between you and Kizaru "Fire wall" A familiar voice calls out picking you off the ground and jumping away from the rising burning hot fire that splits the red port in two. "Sorry I'm late" Sabo smiles as he sits you back down in front of a very happy Luffy and a very revealed Zoro "Sabo" The captain smiles jumping to hug his brother while the swordsman pucks you up off the ground holding you in his arms "I'm sorry" You sigh hugging the green haired man as his grip tightened on you, it hurt but you didn't care. Luffy soon pulls away from his brother before turning to you and Zoro placing a hand on your shoulder to make you look at him "I'm sorry" You whisper tears welling up in your eyes but the captain shakes his head seeming to understand that your body is starting to give into the drugs "It's ok, Lets head to the Sunny and get out of here" Luffy smiles turning to Sabo who surprisingly shakes his head.
Sabo smiles and places his hand on Luffy's head giving it a few pats before turning to the large fire wall "You guys go ahead, I've still got work to do but i'll make sure I stop by soon little bro" Luffy nods before running off and grabbing the almost passed out Bartolomeo before heading to the ship. Zoro keeps up with his captain while you stay in his arms, with the ship close Luffy yells out to Robin and Franky who smile down at him the rest of the crew looking over the side seeming relived that your all ok. "Lets get out of here" Luffy yells out loud enough for everyone on the battle field to hear and the other ships, the crew smiles and nods getting ready to take off while those on the battle field start to head back to their ships with their captains. Running onto the grassy deck of the sunny Franky steers the ship while Robin gets the ramp and anchor up, the other ships next to the sunny start to move as well turning around to leave. "Everyone hold on" Franky yells out steering the ship and getting it ready to blast out and way from the red line. Sanji helps the girls over to the stairs telling them to hang on as he holds two of the girls close to him, Cavendish joins the cook in holding some of the other girls while also tying his horses rains to the stair case. Usopp and Chopper cling onto each other while holding onto the railing, Luffy smiles at them handing the rooster man off to them, so he can focus on you and Zoro, the two luckily didn't protest just grabbed and hung onto the passed out and bleeding man while Nam, Brook and Robin hold on to what ever they can grab.
Sitting down on the grassy deck Zoro sets your legs down on the floor but holds you close as Luffy runs over wrapping and arm around the two of you a few time while the other goes around the mast of the ship close by. "Ready? Coup De Burst" Franky yells out pushing the button a bright blue light blasting out of the back of the ship forcing away any marines that tried to get close while launching out of the water and into the air. You hold on tight to Zoro while shivering a little bit, the cold sea air flowing over your already cold body, Luffy leans into you placing his head into your neck as an attempt to give you some kind of warmth. The sunny flew threw the air for a while before crashing back into the water making its passengers gasp and yell out trying to hold on as the ship bounces and rocks trying to steady itself in the water. Now far enough away from the red line and sailing through the clam water the sunny started to slow down a little, the cold sea air starting to let up a bit making you feel less cold, a sigh of relief leaves you lips as everyone relaxes. Cry's of joy and yells of celebration fill the air as the crew hug each other and the girls you saved hugged and thanked the crew. Sitting up a little your bear feet brush against the grassy deck of the ship and it brings a smile to your face knowing that your now safe and no longer in that hell-hole. Tears of joy and relief well up in your eyes, you were so happy to be back with your crew, to be back on the sunny, to be free again.

You started to get more nervous since you've been running for a while and there didn't seem to be anyone around, you know Perona and Mihawk are good at fighting but there wasn't even any body's around now. Luffy and Zoro suddenly stop in their tracks turning to face something you can't sense "Get back" The two yell at you as Usopp fires a smoke bomb between two buildings. Skidding to a halt along with the girls and chopper a round figure jumps out of the smoke bringing his large axe down on the three boys. "Oh no it Sentomaru" Rin gasps grabbing your arm in fear knowing what always follows that man, taking her hand you run with them over to a building and make them sit down as Chopper joins you wanting to protect you and the eight girls. The three boys jump out of the way avoiding the axe only for a blast of light to head their way, Usopp jumps out of the way just in time before firing an exploding star at a large Pacifista that fired the blast, Its mouth closes as its hand swings through the smoke showing no damage from the snipers attack. "Not only did you take one slave but now you've taken eight more, i order you to hand them over, now!" Sentomaru points at Luffy who growls at him before running forward and throwing punches "Their not slaves" The captain yells as the chubby man dodges the punches before slamming Luffy in the chest with his open palm sending the captain rolling back and skidding along the floor. Usopp fires another exploding star at Sentomaru before running over to help Luffy up and fight the man.
As other Pacifista's arrive Zoro dodges their blasts and cuts their legs and arms before going for the head, but they didn't seem to stop coming. They would rise up from behind houses or just appear out of nowhere trying to blast the three men. Not wanting to sit around you stand up and turn to the girls prying Rin's arm off yours "Stay here and stay hidden, I'll be back" you send them a reassuring smile but Chopper grabs your hand trying to pull you back down "I'll go help, you stay here" The Doctor tries to stop you but you place a hand on his head while holding the gun in your other hand "I know how to take the Pacifista's out. Please stay here and keep them safe" You smile at the reindeer who sighs before nodding knowing there's no stopping you plus just like Usopp your a good shot. Opening its mouth the Pacifista fire's its beam at the swordsman who easily dodges and slices one of robots in two with one swift swing, landing on the floor he pants while putting the third swords in his mouth but a robot behind him starts getting ready to fire. Zoro turns and is ready to block when a gun shot goes off, the bullet hitting the Pacifista in the mouth, it didn't do much damage but it plugged up the hole making its head shakes as the pressure builds up until its head explode. The swordsman turns with a smile seeing you smiling back at him before firing at another one managing to do the same thing, Zoro runs to your sliding and cutting through a robots leg that got too close for his liking, the two of you working together to take out was many as you can, fighting side by side just have you like it.
The fight was dragging on longer than you wanted and with your dress being so long you could hardly move without stepping on it. After firing another shot you growl to yourself before turning to see Zoro land just after cutting a Pacifista's head off and flicking his sword to get a piece of oil off it "Zo, cut this for me will you" You yell out holding up some of your long dress, without hesitation the Swordsman swings slicing threw the pink fabric of your skirt before going back to fighting. After firing another shot it gives you enough time to grab the cut part of your dress and rip the fabric off up to your knees, your legs and feet where covered in bruises and cuts making you stop for a second. Those weren't there this morning or when you got dressed, with the adrenaline running through your veins it made it easy not to feel the pain or weakness in your legs but as you look down at them you can't help shake a little. The sight of you black and blue skin with red cuts caused your body to freeze up, flashes of how you got them came back to you, memories that you wish you could forget. Luffy punches Sentomaru in the face as the heavy man tries to swing his axe again at Usopp who rolls out of the way and ties to fire another shot only for Luffy to yell as he punches the chubby man again this time hitting him in the stomach but to both their surprise it didn't seem to do anything. Sentomaru swings his axe down trying to cut the captains head off but Luffy ducks and kicks up hitting the guy under his chin and sending him stumbling back a bit.
Usopp fires an exploding star aiming for the man, but he dodges and bring his axe down on the sniper it only being blocked by Luffy and his hardened arms trying to protect his friend, Sentomaru pulls his hand back and opens his palm using Haki to hit the straw hat in the stomach sending the Captain and the sniper into a wall. Usopp pants as he tries to sit up and push Luffy off him but stops when seeing the chubby man turning to walk over to where you and Zoro are. "Hay" The sniper yells as Luffy sits up and rubs his head now noticing Sentomaru who sighs ignoring the two his eyes fixed on your frozen figure after ripping the lower part of your dress off. His job is to get you back to the celestial dragons, killing the straw hats is an added bonus. "Get away from her" Luffy yells anger boiling through his vines while pushing himself out the rubble and running over to the chubby man. Sentomaru turns in anger but his eyes widen in surprise when the Captain turns his gear 2 on and pulls back both of his hands "GUM, GUM, Bazooka" Luffy yells making a direct hit on Sentomaru's stomach with his burns hot red palms, sending the man flying into one of the Pacifista's chests, the robot's chest caves in from the force making it tip back losing its balance and crashing to the floor. Snapping out of your shock by a loud crash your eyes travel up to see one of the robots stumble from the ground shaking next to it and fall into another one that tips over as well causing a Domino affect.
Zoro looks behind him to see a very pissed off Luffy before noticing that your not moving, the swordsman puts one of his swords away as he runs to you and grabs you around the waist. A gasp of shock and pain leaves your lips as Zoro runs and jumps to get out of the way only stopping when your both far enough away from the falling and exploding robots that makes the ground under them crack and cave in. Holding back a groan of pain you push on Zoro's arm thats around your waist, feeling the swordsman's hand gripping a sore spot but you didn't blame him, you didn't know it was a sore spot until he touched it so how was he supposed to know. "Zo-ro" You whimper a bit trying to push his hand off your waist after he didn't let you go. "Sorry, you ok? Did i hurt you?" Zoro asks in a panic while putting you down slowly and gently unwrapping his hand from your waist before looking for any sighs of blood. Sitting up you place a hand on his shoulder and give the swordsman a smile "I'm ok, don't worry... thanks for the save" Leaning up you place a kiss on his cheek seeming to make him relax a bit until his eyes travel down to your beaten up legs. Understanding his shock you cup his face to make him look at you, the worried and angry look on his face makes your smile drop but you run your thumbs over his cheeks "I'm fine for now, it doesn't hurt" you try and reassure but it didn't seem to work as his hand lightly rubs over your leg feeling how cold they are along with the cuts and bumps that litter your skin.
Luffy runs over to you two as Usopp manages to get out of the rubble while rubbing his head "That was close, sorry about that" The captain laughs rubbing the back of his head managing to pry Zoro's eyes away form you to make sure his captain is ok. "Thank's for the save Captain" You smile at Luffy before going to grab the gun but stop noticing it's not with you anymore, you must have dropped it when you were either in shock or Zoro grabbed you. Choppers yell and the girls screams gets your attention looking over to see a Pacifista standing up and turning to where you left the girls, its mouth opening getting ready to fire, "No" You yell out trying to get up only to fall back onto you knees due to the pain in your thigh, Zoro and Luffy rush to their aid as quickly as they can watching as Chopper uses Human point making his top half big and muscular while his lower half is much thinner in order to protect the cowering girls behind him. The Pacifista fires as Luffy and Zoro yell out the doctors name only for a person to jump in front of Chopper "Barrier" A familiar voice calls as a large Blue barrier forms in front of him stopping the blast form hurting anyone, breathing a sigh of relief you relax a little and place your hand over your bandaged thigh knowing the girls are safe. Zoro and Luffy come to a stop almost in shock upon seeing the green spiky haired man with spiky teeth smiling at them while his fingers are crossed. "Rooster" Luffy smiles waving his hand at Bartolomeo whose eyes sparkle and shine while tears fall down his face happy that the Captain noticed him.
You can't help but let out a small laugh knowing how big of a fan the rooster is of the straw hat crew, especially your captain but upon hearing hooves galloping up behind, you turn only catching a glimpse of something fast and white run past you. Your hair flows and light dust hits your face as it runs past, its speed making the wind blow around you causing you to cough a little, once your vision is clear you look over to see a man with blonde hair, a white hat with a long, large blue feather attached and a white coat draped over his shoulders. "How dare you try and steal my show" Cavendish yells out in anger standing up on his white horse before jumping up pulling out his rapier and cutting through the Pacifista before pushing off it and bringing his sword down on another that tried to get up. Zoro groans rolling his eyes seeing Cavendish flips off the robots chest and land dramatically swishes his hair and posing as both Pacifista's explode. "Miss Y/N, Mister Luffy, Mister Zoro, Mister Usopp and Mister Chopper its so good to see you again" Bartolomeo calls out running over to Luffy and Zoro with stars in his eyes as he slightly tears up. With a smile you stand up and walk over to your boys. "Thanks for helping out" Luffy smiles at the rooster man who falls to his knees crying at being thanked by the straw hat. Zoro steps closer to you and goes to put his hand around your waist but stops himself not wanting to hurt you again. Luffy turns with a smile only for it to drop at seeing your legs and tired face, with the adrenaline wearing off the drugs in your system where starting to take effect again.
As Chopper and the girls walk over most of them looking confused at the still crying Bartolomeo, Cavendish takes walks over and bows at the lady's "Don't worry my lady's, your safe now" The blonde man smiles holding out a rose to Sakura who blushes deeply. Usopp sighs standing next to the now short and tired looking Chopper placing a hand on his head "How about you sit on my shoulders the rest of the way, we need you rested" The sniper smiles earning a nod from the doctor, Usopp picks the reindeer up and placed him on his shoulders before turning to look at Cavendish flirting with the girls. Noticing Luffy's eyes wonder over your legs you let out a small sigh and take his hand "We should get going" you smile hoping to get back to the sunny, the Captain nods and leans up placing a kiss on your cheek squeezing your hand as you all start to walk "Miss Y/N, are you ok, do you need me to carry you?" Bartolomeo runs up to you only for Zoro to get in between you and the rooster man making him pout a bit "Oh no i'm ok, i can still walk and thank you for the help, you didn't have to come" You smile at him earning another starry eyed look, "Y/N darling your knight in shimming armor will always be there to save you" Cavendish smiles walking up behind you and holding out a rose to you but with a flick of Zoro's sword the head of the rose falls to the floor "Back off pal" The swordsman growls, Luffy notices and laughs a little seeing his first mate a little pissed off before wrapping an arm around your waist.
You jump a little and take Luffy's hand moving it down your waist a bit "Sorry, its sore there" You sigh noticing the worried look on Luffy's face, but he nods at you keeping his hand where you put it holding your hip lightly as you all walk a little faster. Cavendish glares at the swordsman before clearing his throat and grabbing his horses rains "At least hope on Farul, you must be tried" The offer was temping but you shake your head before giving him a smile "As much as i like that offer i think the girls need it more... i hope you can protect them for me... I'm sure they and others will be very grateful and the news wouldn't miss the chance to talk about how great you were helping them" You smile at the blonde man who bows to you before stopping and helping three of the girls onto the horse. You know he wouldn't like it if you just said no so you knew you had to add things onto it, getting to the golden gates you can't help but smile at seeing the large vinous fly traps knowing it was usopp who did this "Nice Job Usopp" you smile at the sniper who smiles wide at you and placing his hands on his hips "The great Usopp never lets anyone down" You can't help but let out a little giggle as Bartolomeo runs over to Usopp starting to praise the Sniper who seems to grow more and more confident. "Don't boost his ego" Zoro groans to himself as Luffy laughs with a large smile pulling you a little closer to him as you wrap your arm around Zoro's "Would you rather him gush over you?" You ask earning a glare from the swordsman and a slight growl but you keep your smile and rub his arm.

Charles's eyes widen at the sudden entrance of Luffy and Zoro, the guards easily being taken out by the two as they step closer making their way down the aisle. The other Dragons stand up to get away from the men but Rosward stands his ground glaring at the two with his daughter standing beside him her hand on her gun in case she needs to step in. "Charlos, it's time to deal with these two" Rosward looks at his son who nods taking a fist full of your hair while your distracted and pulling you into him and pressing his gun at your temple. You groan in pain as he holds it tight to the point you think he might rip the hair out of your scalp. "Don't get any closer or I will shoot her" The dragon smiles as the two stop in their tracks knowing he will do it, he may be a bad shot but there's no way he'll miss with the gun presses to your head. Despite the pain you keep your hands close to you not wanting to let go of what's in your hands, not yet anyway. Zoro growls as he grips the two swords in his hands his eyes scanning the room trying to see what would work best and how to go about things while Luffy stares straight at Charlos, his hands clenches at his sides. "Let her go now" The captain demands only for Charlos to laugh at them , a few guards try to step in but Rosward holds up his hand to stop them "No, my Son will deal with these two" The guards nod and step back before starting to sneak people out of the building.
Shalria sighs her hand gripping the gun on her waist "Its time you paid for hurting my farther and brother. No one defies the celestial dragons, taking your girl was punishment but now you've really done it - su" She lets out a small laugh despite her angry face, her farther places a hand on her shoulder to stop her from doing anything yet. Charlos smiles at the two and brings his face close to your neck trying to make the pirates angry "We were just going to kill her but how could i when she has such pretty skin" The dragon licks up your neck causing Zoro to see red "Don't touch her" the swordsman yells taking a step closer only for Rosward pull out something from his belt and wave it around with a tutting sound "I wouldn't if i were you" The older dragon seemed so calm as he places his thumb over the red button and smiling when seeing Zoro stop in his tracks. The swordsman turns his attention back to you spotting the collar around your neck but noticing you don't have a chain like the others. Putting two and two together he realizes its remote activated, he could just cut the trigger, but he knows he won't be quick enough to stop Rosward from pressing the button first. Despite what's going on you try to remain calm, you hated the feeling of the dragon licking your neck but you gritted your teeth and tried to bare with it "So pretty, the things i'm gonna do to this skin, maybe i could peel it off and make it into bed sheets?" Charlos laughs earning a growl from Luffy and Zoro but something catches the swordsman's eye.
The tapping of your fingers on your closed hand gets Zoro's attention, he looks from your hands to your face now noticing how calm you are with a gun to your head and a mad man holding it. With Zoro looking your way you give him a small smile and shift your eyes down to your hands hoping to give him a hint. "Captain" Zoro whispers to Luffy who hasn't taken his angry eyes off Charlos as the dragon calms down from his laughing but grips your hair tighter making you groan in pain and lift your head up to try and relieve some tension. "Not so tough now are we?" Charlos smiles at you taking joy in the passion your in before he turns to the two in front of him, you keep your eyes on the two hoping they notice your calm demeanor and tapping of your fingers. "I see, Your jobs the collar, i have the snot guy" Luffy whispers back spotting the same thing Zoro has while walking closer with the swordsman next to him both knowing your no longer in danger from the gun in the dragons hands. Charlos's eyes widen when seeing the two walk closer his hand shaking a little and taking a step back bring you with him. "Don't step any closer... I-i'll kill her" The dragon yells but the two keep stepping closer, you let a small smile show seeing the dragon panic and point the gun at Luffy "Die" Charlos yells pulling the trigger but the gun doesn't fire, he pulls it a few more times, clicks filling the air but still nothing happens. "Looking for these?" You ask with a small laugh making him look at you as you hold you hand out showing the bullets you took form his gun long ago.
Shock and anger covers his face before Luffy steps up onto the slightly raised platform of the alter and pulls his arm back. Rosward's eyes widen not understanding what's going on as his daughter pulls out her gun and steps forwards to fire only for her gun to get gun in half by Zoro. "I said. Let. HER.. GOOOOOOO" Luffy yells hardening his hand with Haki and punching Charlos in the face, the dragon lets go of your hair and the gun as the captains fist connects with his face , it caving in from the force of Luffy's punch, the captain yells in anger as he forces his fist out sending Charlos through the stain glass window and beyond. You can't help but smile as Luffy's hand pulls back to him but a sudden beeping gets your attention. Rosward pushes the button as Zoro kicks his daughter away trying to get to the older dragon, the beeping and flashing light coming form the blue gem on your collar gets Zoro's attention who turns and run to you. Running over to you the swordsman uses Haki on his Sword and arm cutting through the collar and use his other sword to fling it at Rosward and his Daughter who both try to dodge out of the way as it explodes along with some guards that tried to help them. The explosion makes the other Celestial dragons that remain and slaves make a run for it while the guards try and either help them or attack the three of you. "You ok?" Luffy asks as he punches a guard away sending him flying into some others and landing on the church pews before turning to you.
After rubbing your now free neck and dropping the bullets in your hand relief washes over you. Leaping into your captains arms you can't help but let a few tears fall as you bury your head into his neck "I'm so glad you two are here, I love you both so much" You try and breath as the feeling of being finally safe washes over you, tears fall down your face as you cling onto Luffy for dear life. The captain smiles wide while wrapping his arms around your waists and rubbing your back "I love you too Y/N, I'm sorry we took so long" The captain pulls you away and wipes your cheeks trying to stop your tears from falling with a kiss, you eagerly kiss back missing the feeling of love and warmth form him. As the church empties only a few uncontuse guards and cowering slaves remain, Sakura and the other wives all huddle together to check on each other before turning to look at you and the two new men who just saved you life. Zoro flicks the blood off his sword and turns to you scanning your body to see if you had any injuries but you looked ok, a little shaky but there are no cuts or bruises that he can see. Pulling away form Luffy's lips you run your thumb over his cheek with a smile before turning to look at Zoro who was patiently waiting for you. "Hay baby" The swordsman smiles placing his hand on your lower back after putting one of his swords away, turning you wrap your arms around his neck hugging him tight "Thank you. I love you so much" You try not to cry again as Zoro r wraps his arm around your waist and placing a kiss on your head "I love you too baby, your safe now, we got you"
Luffy joins in the hug wrapping his arms around both you and Zoro as your hand goes through your captains hair. Leaning up you place your lips on Zoro's who hums slightly while kissing back and rubbing your back slightly. After pulling away you place your head on their shoulders as the two sigh in relief feeling you with them again but the reunion is short-lived when you look up and notice Marines and Guards running towards the church. "Oh no" you sigh getting them to look at the church doors "We gotta go" Zoro grabs your hand but you pull him to you and look over at the eight girls all huddles together their hope filled eyes fixed on you. "Wait, were taking them with us... Please, I promised I'd take them with me" You look at the two who both nod at you agreeing to take them with you, Luffy smiles and takes his hat off placing it on your head before kissing your cheek "I'll keep them off your backs" The captain nods running off and out of the church to give you guys time, holding the hat to your head you watch as your captain runs off and starts fighting before following Zoro over to the girls. Sakura steps closer while shaking a little from everything that just happened but your kind smile eases her a little "Don't worry, we're getting out of here, like i promised" You smile at them, the girls nodding and taking their veils off before stepping closer letting the swordsman cut their collars off and throw them far away before they can explode.
Meanwhile, you leave Zoro to deal with the collar's to grab the gun the Charlos drops and reload the bullets into it knowing your gonna have to help fight your way out of here. You knew it mustn't have been easy to get here and it won't be easy getting out, after all the collars are off some of the girls bow a little and thank Zoro who just gives a nods before returning to your side. "We need to get going" The swordsman places a hand on your shoulder as the girls walk behind him, nodding you turn to the now free girls who have big smiles on their faces, "Stay close to me, I'll keep you safe" You tell the girls who nod at you staying close behind you as Zoro lead the way out of the church and into the fighting. Just as you make it out large plants start growing out the ground and grabbing the marines and guards around Luffy, you smile recognizing it as one of Usopp's moves, "Y/N" the sound of hooves gets your attention as you make your way down the steps to join Luffy who smiles at you as you take his hat off your head and hand it to him. Chopper and Usopp run over to you all with big smiles on their faces but looking a little beaten up. They both crash into you causing you to groan in pain but you still wrap your arms around the two "Hay be careful" Zoro yells only for Luffy to laugh and place his hand on the swordsman's shoulder while placing his hat back on his head. Usopp pulls away form you and clears his throat while rubbing the back of his head feeling Zoro's angry eyes on him more than on Chopper.
The reindeer cry's into your arms as you hold him to your chest some of the girls looking over your shoulder and smiling at how cute he is. "Are you ok?" The doctor asks listing his head up to look at you through watery eyes only for you to let out a small laugh and a big smile "I'm ok, I want to get back to the sunny though" You lie knowing under all the makeup and the dress that your beaten and bruised but you didn't have time to sit here and deal with it. Chopper nods and looks over your shoulder seeing the girls behind you "Their coming with" You state as Rin steps closer and runs her hand over choppers arm "So fluffy and cute" her face lights up at the feeling making Chopper wiggle in your arms. Usopp jumps suddenly and turns to face Luffy and Zoro seeming to remember something "Oh! You'll never guess who showed up?" Usopp smiles grabbing onto Zoro's arm who steps back a little not sure of why the sniper is so happy, after not getting an answer the sniper gives in and just tells them with a sigh. "Perona and Mihawk, they helped us take out that Spider guy, so we could come here to help". Putting Chopper down your eyes widen, you didn't think anyone but your crew would come and help you but it seems you might be proven wrong. Zoro lets out a sigh taking out his other sword while rolling his eye "Great now i have to thank her" You giggle at the swordsman knowing his sibling relationship with the ghost girl tends to cause the two to argue but you know the two wouldn't have come to help if you didn't care about the swordsman.
Usopp nods at them before looking at the path where they came form "Their taking on any marines down the path giving us a clean shot back to the Sunny, so let's get going" Usopp starts running off soon followed by Luffy who grabs your hand pulling you along "Come on" The captain yells as you pick up your dress, kick off your heals and start running instead of being dragged along. Chopper stays next to you as the girls keeping close behind you, Sakura holding up the back of your dress to try and help you out a little. You hate how long the dress is but at least you could keep up with your crew despite the tight dress and the pain in your leg from where you tattoo once was. It wasn't long until Luffy let your hand go, as much as he wanted you close by he didn't want to hurt you by dragging you along. Zoro followed Luffy closely since the only danger would be up ahead at this point, Usopp managed to knock out or restrain the marines and guards at the church with his vines so there wasn't much point in protecting your backs. As you ran threw the streets it seemed pretty clear and safe, a few marine and guards where passed out on the ground long with some captains and lieutenants. "Your friends are strong" Emi smiles amazed that these high ranking officers could be taken out, letting out a small laugh you nod "That's my crew for you and the help from Mihawk and Perona are an bonus" You let out a small laugh managing to make Emi laugh a little too.
Even though the drugs you were given this morning where still in your system the adrenaline and hope of getting out of this place was helping a lot to drive you all forward. Chopper keeps his eye on you as he runs next to you noticing a few things about how your putting less weight on one leg and how your breathing seems a little constricted, as a doctor he can't stand by and let you deal with it alone "Y/n, are you sure your ok? i know you don't want to stop until we get to the sunny but i'm worried" The reindeer tries to keep his voice down as to not worry Luffy or Zoro who would most likely stop in their tracks and make the doctor check you over before continuing. "I'm ok, i can keep going but... They gave us some drugs this morning so i'm a little tired" You try and hide the wound on your leg from him not wanting the reindeer to stop and take care of it right now but Sakura rolls her eyes at you "Y/n got hurt when she got here and this morning too" The girl didn't know exactly how you were hurt, but she didn't see the point in lying to your friend about it, You give her a short glare before sighing realizing she's right "I'd rather talk about this back on the ship, its nothing life threatening" You state earning a nod from Chopper, everyone on the crew was scared and worried about what the dragons had done to you especially Chopper, with being a doctor he knew that things can be worse than they look. "Ok but if you feel any worse or sick tell me ok? We won't stop but i can help while we run" The reindeer hoped to stop your worrying, you give him a small smile and a nod feeling a little better about the situation.
