Honestly, at first I just wanted to make a different version of Buggy, something more alternative with a rock/punk vibe. I don’t know that much about those styles, so sorry if some things don’t fully match 😭, but I ended up getting way too attached to the idea and eventually made the last illustrations around this AU.
The main inspiration came from this British singer, so thank you for giving me such amazing visual inspiration because I genuinely became obsessed with the aesthetic.
And well… without even realizing it, I ended up creating an entire lore for my Buggy ship 😭. In this universe Charlotte is a French princess (yes, in a modern AU where the French monarchy never fell), which creates a pretty chaotic romance between them.
As a small detail: in this AU Buggy would be 27 years old while Charlotte would be 19, keeping the age gap between them even in this version.
“Dieu Sauve la Reine” somehow went from being just a drawing to literally becoming a fictional album filled with political drama, tabloid magazines, and royal scandals 😭

La verdad al inicio solo quería hacer una versión diferente de Buggy, algo más alternativo y con aires de rock/punk. No conozco demasiado de esos estilos, así que perdón si algo no coincide del todo 😭, pero terminé enganchándome muchísimo con la idea y acabé haciendo las últimas ilustraciones con este AU.
La inspiración principal viene de este cantante británico, así que gracias por darme tremenda inspiración visual porque honestamente terminé obsesionándome con la estética.
Y bueno… sin darme cuenta terminé armando todo un lore para mi shipp con Buggy 😭. En este universo Charlotte sería una princesa francesa (sí, en un AU moderno donde la monarquía francesa nunca cayó), lo que termina creando un romance bastante caótico entre ambos.
Como dato curioso: en este AU Buggy tendría 27 años y Charlotte 19, manteniendo esa diferencia de edad entre ellos incluso en esta versión.
