Unorthodox Brew || Sage & Chelsea
Chelsea made a small sigh of relief to have gotten that done and over with. She wasn’t really one to have trouble with people, usually. What’s the deal?
She looked down at her shirt -- “Oh, this?” -- she looked back up with a smile -- “It’s just from this game I play, haha.” Oh, what, was she embarrassed? You’re the one who went and picked that shirt out, you know, Chelsea.
Interview || Leon & Chelsea
“Hm?” she hummed, glancing over her shoulder and, noticing she was being spoken to, Chelsea stopped working and turned towards the stranger. The man himself, Leon. She took a moment, a slow blink, to process what he said -- and also why he was talking to her, just one of the audio engineers.
For all her wits, she could not find a response.
“Y-you -- who? Me?” She looked around and yeah - he was talking to her. “Why would I be staring at you?”
She cursed herself. She did not sound very convincing. Man, was he some kind of mind reader, or was Chelsea just that easy to read?
“I could’ve said, ‘girls shouldn’t be walking around at this time of night, it’s dangerous.’ But I don’t think she would have listened anyway.”
Sick Day || Closed
Chelsea is a workaholic. A kind-natured one at that. She never says no when her boss needs her to cover for someone else and she’s usually willing to stay a little late if there’s a problem. She likes to say that she just wants something to focus on, but she also wants the company of others. It gets lonely in her house, all alone. (She should have never accepted her dad’s offer. She should get roommates or something.)
Chelsea is a very hardy girl. She never gets sick and nothing can faze her, so she says. She’s definitely strong and healthy, and she’s more than willing to show off her arms (though she looks more cute than anything with her combined height and demeanor). But, Chelsea will admit to being human. A clumsy little ditzy human.
And, naturally, Chelsea has overworked herself. It wouldn’t be the first time. To stay at home with her whole day ahead of her would usually have been torture, but today Chelsea finds her outlet in a video game: Dark Souls.
She makes many vulgar outbursts while playing, groaning when other players impede on her progress, her heart racing as she fights difficult enemies. She plays until her eyes hurt from looking at the screen. Or was she just seeing red?
Down to Earth || Open
Chelsea liked to go to the gym pretty regularly, her reason being that it was a good outlet for stress and other energy. It was a good thing to do while listening to whatever on her phone. She usually did pretty typical stuff on the machines, but recently her gym had installed a rock wall, and Chelsea was excited to try it out. It looked so much more engaging and fun than most other things. She was sure she’d be a natural.
The thing was, though, that Chelsea, while she could lift her own weight no problem, was very clumsy. Particularly in her feet. As she scaled the wall, she found herself struggling more than she thought she would. She kept having to backtrack to find handles and footholds that she could reach, and her feet were always slipping. At the peak of her frustration, she slipped off the wall completely and the ropes started to slowly lower her down. She didn’t bother to start again from her position. With a sigh, she gave the wall a small kick before finally reaching the ground.

Chelsea’s not really a coffee person. She didn’t drink any growing up and when she started living on her own, well.. Well, Chelsea can’t do anything in the kitchen if it involves heat. She’s tried coffee a few times. She wants to like it. But it really seems like one of those “aquired tastes.”
The smell of a coffee shop is pretty nice though. It’s got such a relaxing and rustic scent, she thinks, as she walks into The Roost and orders a strawberry- lemon tea. The woman who takes her order has wild blonde hair and a sharp, attractive face. And about a head taller than Chelsea. She can’t really tell. But when the barista asks for her name, Chelsea realizes she had been staring, totally awe-struck and maybe a little slack-jawed.
She chokes on her name for half a second before she blinks her eyes and says “Chelsea” with an embarrassed smile, wipes her nervous hands on the side of her tank top.

All kinds of stuff played on AMR 92.5, from wacky little segments, contests, weather, music, Dear Abby’s, you name it, but this was the first time Chelsea had seen a celebrity -- like a real celebrity -- in the flesh, here for an interview. Well... She wasn’t actually sure how big of a celebrity he was, but he was an actor, and he lived in Harbour Pointe.
She was more surprised than starstruck.
There was a lot of talent in the city, but she never really expected to meet any of it. Uh, although, “meet” is probably a bit of a stretch. More like “stand in the same room with.” As she was testing the sound and setting up microphones, Leon Bastet was talking to the station manager. Her eyes were trained on her work, but his presence was in the back of her mind. She didn’t really keep up with movies and the sort. And what was this guy like?

No way! This lady, telling Chelsea how lovely she looked?! Well, she shouldn’t be surprised at the kindness of her fellow woman but, while Chelsea certainly didn’t think of herself as unappealing, lovely is not the first word she would use to describe her appearance. Receiving the complement totally caught Chelsea off-guard.
“No need to apologize! And... ohmigosh! Thank you so much?? You don’t have to say that!! Wow, hahah... I was just saying the truth, I didn’t expect any praise like that!” Chelsea laughed her words out nervously and brushed her hair behind her ears, kind of averting her eyes from the woman now. “I’m pretty... humble looking, I think? You have such a traditional beauty!”
Gone Gossip || Chelsea & Toy
Ah, a good sport! Chelsea’s eyes gleamed when he picked up the cookie and she watched him open it. And then -- laughter! It was the kind where she could tell he really needed it, where his rhythm from before broke and a happier self showed.
“What a coincidence!” she looked from the cookie and back at the man. “I was kind of kidding, too, and it’s also a fortune cookie, so... so you crack it!” Chelsea smiled and waved her index finger around.
“Oh, I almost forgot -- I just wanted one of those drinks there,” she said, and pointed to what he was shelving.
*Slaps Mark's back with great force* Mark! There you are! Where have you been! You've missed a lot! We could have owned the cow festival if you were here!
*grins widely despite of the powerful-yet-painful-greeting-from-Chelsea* . Huuuurgh the cow festival huh? Wow that’s too bad. But hey. it’s almost summer, which means there will be Chicken Festival! Are you excited?
Gone Gossip || Chelsea & Toy
Ah, MinuteMart. You’re one-stop shop at Baycourt Corporate Center. Chelsea had just gotten take-out from Jade and rather than a styrofoam cup of soda or black tea from the restaurant, she decided to grab a bottle of her preferred drink from MinuteMart on her way to AMR.
The vibe inside MinuteMart today was... off-kilter, to Chelsea. Some people standing around were drinking iced coffees and gossiping about who-knows-what, but it certainly didn’t sound like their business. Nearby, an employee was restocking the shelves with the drinks Chelsea wanted. He seemed a bit stiff. She smiled and, digging in her bag of take out, decided to make someone’s day a whole lot more interesting.
Tap, tap.
He turned around and smiled at her, the usual retail-and-such deal. Chelsea smiled back. Hopefully he had a sense of humor...
“Don’t let the past choke your existence,” she said with the most mysterious voice she could muster, and held out her unopened fortune cookie.

Chelsea loved to be out of the building and get some fresh air in her off time, and on days like this, with the sun shining so warmly on the earth, shaved ice in the park was perfect. She just wanted to grab a little cup of strawberry-lemon shaved ice and sit down and feel the breeze.
So she did. She sat down on a mostly unoccupied bench, leaned back, and enjoyed herself. And after scrolling through her Twitter feed for a few minutes, Chelsea noticed that the pretty lady next to her was staring forlornly at passersby, lost in thought. For as long as Chelsea had been sitting there, it felt like.
How often do you see people doing nothing but stare off like that these days, Chelsea wondered. It was a very pretty look she had on her face, this woman. Her whole aura was a lot more mature than Chelsea’s own. Her long, straight hair and her sense of style... Chelsea couldn’t help it. She had to say something.
“Hey, excuse me?” She raised her hand a little to get the woman’s attention and smiled the brightest of smiles. “I just wanted to say you look lovely today!”

Deep Dive || Chelsea & Reager

Usually, the only people who go to the school pool are on the swim team, but on warmer days, more people show up to play in the pool. Chelsea liked to go in and relax and maybe pretend she had sea legs. She’d had a busy exam week, and with the sun beating down outside, she wanted to cool off. Indoors.
It was nice to be there when it was less busy than it was weeks ago for the pool party. She didn’t even want to think about school, for once, just for a little while. She made her way to the poolside, already in her swimsuit and a light cover-up. Chelsea felt great in it, confident even. But caught in her thoughts, she was suddenly knocked into the pool by someone who hadn’t been looking.
“Uwoah!”
Soaked from head to toe, Chelsea suddenly didn’t feel so hot. She didn’t even reach the bottom of the pool when she fell – it was so deep – but her foot scraped across the side. She righted herself and stood, her chin just above water. She brushed her hair away from her face and looked up at the guy who knocked her in.
