phaenna-kelley:
When she’d first started looking for a roommate, Phae had been kind of nervous. That apprehension had only gotten worse when Harvey came out of nowhere–she didn’t know anything about him, and for all she knew, he could be some kind of serial killer or something. Luckily, he had turned out to be a super chill guy who almost definitely had never killed anyone, and Phaenna actually enjoyed his company. The two of them got along pretty well, which was lucky. “I just got off of work, actually,” she said. “But it’s really nice outside and honestly, I’m not in a huge rush to get back to the apartment, either. I know what you mean about getting stir-crazy in there sometimes.”
“That’s good,” he nodded at her. The restaurant she worked at was one of the few places he had gotten to know and frequented because the food over there was so good, but either way, he figured she was happy to be off work. “How was it? Too many clients?” His fingers fiddled over the guitar strings for a few more seconds before he stopped for good, putting his instrument aside. “Yeah... hey, I know you just got off work, but would you maybe like to get a drink? I need to clear off my mind a little bit, and I’d really enjoy the company,” he shrugged one shoulder, pursing his lips at he looked at Phaenna tentatively.
