Autumn Studying challenge 🍂

16th October - Perfect autumn day 🍂

I don't like the routine, my perfect day is me living it at my own paste, as I feel like. Anyway, for a perfect autumn day I would like to have a good breakfast, reading a book for my own pleasure, maybe go outside for a walk on the seaside and finish the day with some relaxing videos on YouTube or journaling 💕

I just had a very super busy week and I still feel tired after the weekend x_x but I’m still working on my master’s thesis most of the time and I’m really proud for each step that I’m taking towards the end of this path!! If you are in the same situation, keep going, you are doing great and the end is near!! 💪🏼

My study advice for today: stay away from every distraction.

For me the greatest distraction is my phone, where I lose the track of time scrolling through socials or chatting with people. That’s why Forest help me so much! If you don’t know it, you plant a tree and if you close the app the tree dies… and believe me, it’s so sad that you don’t want this to happen!! That’s a great way to stay away from other apps on the phone! When you successfully plant a tree, remaining focused for the amount of time that you decide, you earn moneys with which you can buy different types of tree in the game, to make your forest more beautiful, or you can plant a real tree!! This app helps you study and the environment, what can we ask more?

The app is not free, but it’s just a one pay only and the value that you earn from it it’s priceless! If you wanna download it with my link I’m gonna earn some in game money, if not you can search “forest” on your App Store!!

11th October - What is your favorite autumn drink? 🍂

It’s not strictly related to autumn, but when it’s cold my favorite drink is a cup of milk with honey before bed 🍯

Today I tried one of the many advices for studying that I have found online: write down all the fun activities that you can do after studying. With my great pleasure it worked!! I had a very productive day, because I was looking forward to my awards! ✨

my favourite thing about buying books secondhand is finding the things people used as bookmarks in books that they never finished. here’s some of my favourite things that i’ve found!

I just ditched Amazon-run Goodreads for Black-owned StoryGraph and you can too!

Pros:

it’s free

you can easily import your Goodreads account to your StoryGraph account

you can track the books your read/want to read the same as on Goodreads

StoryGraph recommends books according to mood

they also have fun graphs to track your reading habits

they allow .25, .5, and .75 star ratings

AND they offer content warnings for every single book

Cons:

10th October - What is your favorite autumn food? 🍂

There isn’t a specific food that I identify with autumn, but since it’s starting to get colder, I’m eating more often warm meals! In this period I’m craving for Asian food 😋

Tomorrow it’s Monday and my plans for this week are really ambitious!! I want to revise all the first chapter of my thesis, then I want to analyze all the judgments that I want to include in the second chapter and summarize the books that I have read about the argument. I’m really positive rn, let’s see how it goes!!

7th - What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word “autumn”? 🍂

The color orange! Even if I live on the sea, so I don’t see around me orange leaves, and because of Halloween 🎃 … even if we don’t really celebrate it. Maybe is it because I miss them in my life? 🥲

Little study update: I finally had the courage to read my professor’s mail (if you missed the post, yes I deactivated the mail’s notification because I was so scared about his answer lol) and he said that my thesis is good, I only have to change some minor things T^T I’m so happy and relieved that all my work till now is good!!!

8th October - If autumn were a colour, what would it be? 🍂

As I said yesterday, for me autumn is mostly orange, but even warm dark brown! 🤎

I want to wish you all a good weekend! I usually don’t study during Sat/Sun, they are my free days, and I have some goals:

I want to change a part of my room, and for that I need to go to ikea to buy some cute boxes

While at ikea I want to find even some new bedsheets

Read read and read!

And most importantly, I want to finish the last episode of squid game! I have loved this show so far!!
