“You will always be my sister.”
Ryan Coogler vs. Joss Whedon
this is literally why female characters are so hard to relate to and always seem fake or underdeveloped. cause stupid men like Joss Whedon say that being beautiful is more important than being a human being. and the actress is the one who gets blamed for ‘not having enough range’ fuck that. this is why little girls cant relate to female characters in film, because theyre objects first and people second.

Womanhood b like: *performs femininity n suddenly everyone’s nicer to u*
Actually it’s not everyone, only men. Women are nice to women regardless though they might “pity” unfeminine women
1. It is everyone. It’s part of our culture to be uncomfortable with gender nonconformity and gender diversity, and even trans and gnc people internalize it. I’ve had even other LGBT folks compliment me more when dressed more gender conforming. It took time to unlearn it myself and dealt with a lot of years of self hate at how I look when I dress in ways that are comfortable. And to be quite frank, the phenomena in the OP has happened The Most with straight women, so fuck off with trying to turn an issue of the systemic hatred of gender nonconformity into something more palatable to your transphobic tastes.
2. fuck off with your TERF/SWERF bullshit blog- I’m blocking you directly after this post but reblogging so my followers can follow suit and block you too
Lmao I remember when I was in middle school and a (not very feminine) kid, and some of the girls in my class congratulated me when I wore “lip gloss”….. they then were very disappointed to find out it was just chapstick. I then felt more or less pressured into wearing makeup despite that not being me.
Straight girls in elementary school literally bullied me into getting my ears pierced, buying purple clothes, not wearing straight cut jeans, buying and wearing make up, and making up a crush on a boy by literally not letting me see my friends until I complied. One girl even showed up at my house when I was jumping on the trampoline with my friend just to demonstrate that She Knew and so my friend knew she would be ostracized too if she didn’t cut ties with me. Like the idea that straight women and girls don’t enforce compulsory femininity? I have to laugh.
-When I told the army doctor that sometimes my period pains make me unable to function for days, he didn’t even write that down. -When I told my dad “don’t touch me, I’m in pain” he backed down for a moment until my mom told him “she’s on her period”. Then he just laughed. -When I told my teacher before a big test that I was unable to do it because I was in extreme pain and could barely move at all, she said I was making up excuses and that it wasn’t a real reason not to do the test. -Wenever I tell someone about how different I feel during my period emotionally they say I’m just “making up drama”. We need to start treating people on their periods like actual human beings in pain.
-The fact that it occurs monthly doesn’t make the pain less real. It should be treated seriously and with respect. -The fact that the hormones effect the emotions doesn’t make your sadness less painful or the anger less valid or that terrible feeling of being lost less terrifying. Guess what? Hormones affect everyone. Feelings aren’t always rational. It should be also treated seriously and with respect.
Please stop mocking people with periods. Please stop dismissing us. Please stop violating our boundries. Please respect people with periods.

Wonder Woman (2017) // Aquaman (2018)
professor flitwick was ruthless as fuck like he even addressed harry by his name whilst asking for his name
I think what I find even funnier is that Harry doesn’t use the ‘I’m Harry Potter’ response. He uses the ‘You’ve been my teacher for five years’ response.
