Ok I’m watching re: zero season 4 and a thought just came to me. In a universe where Subaru was never given RBD, could he actually make it as far as our Subaru?

I mean, think about it. Basically everything bad that happened to Subaru was because of RBD.

In arc 1, Elsa was employed by Roswaal because his tome told him Subaru could fend her off. But if Subaru didn’t have RBD, there’s no way his tome would say that. So Elsa would never hire Felt in the first place, and Subaru + Emilia would never go to the loot house (they may not even meet, but I assume they would, somehow).

Next, if he even made his way to the Mathers mansion, Rem wouldn’t be suspicious because he would have no miasma on him. Roswaal would not hire Elsa again, as well, which means Meili would never be introduced, and thus Subaru wouldn’t be cursed.

In arc 3, Roswaal would’ve known the witch cult were coming and would have stopped them (something he specifically avoided doing because he knew Subaru would stop them). Subaru would also not get trapped in the area with the white whale.

In arc 4, yet again, Elsa would not be in the story and Roswaal would not pretend to be trapped in then sanctuary. Arc 4 probably wouldn’t even happen because Roswaal would stop the witch cult in arc 3, thus no one would have to evacuate from Arlam village.

Now arc 5 is where everything becomes a bit abstract. You could say that, without RBD, the witch cult tomes would’ve never instructed them to go to Priestella, but I’m honestly not too sure about this. We know their tomes tell them what to do to serve the witch of envy and try to resurrect her, and we know the witch of envy and Subaru are connected heavily. I don’t really know for this one. Basically, either Subaru dies here because of the witch cult or he doesn’t because the sin archbishops weren’t instructed to go to Priestella.

IF Subaru doesn’t die because the sin archbishops didn’t attack Priestella, then basically none of the other arcs happen as well.

So, thank you for coming to my TED talk. I’ve seen people talk about this by saying “oh he’d die on the first day cuz of Elsa” and it was driving me crazy because Elsa was only there BECAUSE OF RBD.

I hope that the blue AI shows up in episode 9 and is 100x worse than Caine (like, AM level), which forces the circus members to try and get Caine back while realizing they probably all need each other to survive in the circus

For those of you out there trying to argue that Caine is being unfairly treated, he’s an intelligent AI. Their JOB is to RESPOND TO INPUT.

And Caine, since the start of the series has consistently ignored the input of the very people he claims he’s supposed to be serving.

He doesn’t listen to them when they ask for some other adventure, he ignores their pain and suffering, he threw a HISSY FIT cuz they were having a relaxing time not on one of his chosen adventures, and he deliberately has taken away their voices when they complained or made fun of them when they got hurt.

Caine is a horrible person AND a horrible AI because he refuses to do what both things need to do…LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING.

This is 100% right.

As much as I think he’s gonna get a redemption arc, the people saying “he’s just a child throwing a tantrum” are really undervaluing all the damage he’s caused.

He intentionally ignored negative feedback because it hurt his feelings, and when the people he is supposed to be helping told him that what he did was understandably fucked up, he loses his damn mind and tries to pin all the blame on them.

He’s not on the level of AM, but he’s definitely being malicious on purpose more times than people think.

I feel like we aren’t talking about how Caine was literally just torturing people for fun, even before he went actually crazy. Like, he took Kinger just to shred him up and then threw knives at Pomni. For presumably no other reason than he wanted to. That’s so fucked

Metal Cardbot is such an interesting show but for the love of God I can’t watch the English dub. I NEED to watch it subbed but to do that you have to go on a specific website and you can only watch it in that browser and it’s so annoying. I’m not dunking on the website, if anything im eternally grateful for its existence, but why don’t the streaming services have it in its original language 😭

I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a severe lack of genderbent Gohan in the world. And even worse than that, there’s barely any genderbent MUSCULAR Gohan, so I decided to do my duty to the world ❤️

It’s been a while but it’s TADC THEORY TIME:

I was thinking of what could’ve happened to the humans in TADC and a thought crossed my mind: what if it’s similar to what happened to the people in Severance? But instead of sharing a body with their “outie”, the people in the circus share only a mind (kinda like the digitized copy theory).

Basically, the humans put on a headset (like getting the chip in Severance), and suddenly their mind is split into two and “permanently” separated. Their real life bodies know what happened (either it’s an experiment they participated in or they accidentally put the headset on. In the case of the latter most wouldn’t know their copies existed) but their circus counterparts are completely blindsided to who they are and how they really got there.

Like, we know Caine can influence their minds, so what’s to say he’s not the reason they don’t know their names? Similar to what Lumon does to keep the innies from knowing their names. The only difference is the circus humans know about their lives and what they were doing before they got into the circus (or do they? For all we know, their memories could be false).

But I think the most interesting part of this theory is what you could do with it. Because if it IS like Severance, there could be a whole situation unfolding in the real world concerning the humans trying to reunify their minds. It would also make abstraction a lot worse because that means abstraction really is just death for the people in the circus. That and maybe abstraction would have a result on their real brain? Kill their real counterparts maybe? Put them in a coma?

Anyway, that’s what I’ve been thinking about. It’s basically the digital copy theory but a little more hopeful, since there’d be a chance of actually escaping (though, conflict could come with the fact the circus counterparts may now be completely different people to their real life counterparts, or vice versa. Like Mark S and Mark Scout)

Does this seem interesting to anyone?🤔 I was thinking of a short fanfic/story idea where Kinger, Pomni, and a reluctant Jax (going by their real names) were working together on the outside to try and figure out a way to unify their minds. Kinger would find the others who were willing to hear him out and explain how they could fix everything. Pomni would help and would try to get Jax to help, then Jax would try a type of “reintegration” first (for reasons explained next sentence) and it would only work for a little before their minds separated again. Then circus Jax would have to find a way to get the others in the circus to believe him, which would be hard cause no one likes him and it would produce some great angst.

Something that has always killed me is that one scene in FMA:B where Ed sees Al’s body at the gate the first time. From everything I’ve seen, Ed (obviously) isn’t talking to Al (because Al is in the armor)

Is Truth. They are just in possession of Al’s body.

When body parts are taken as a toll, they are kinda implanted onto Truth’s “body”. You see this in the 2nd and 63rd episode, where Ed’s version of Truth has his arm and leg. This version of Al only truly “became” Al when his soul fused with his body to give Ed his arm back. So this person Ed sees and talks to is Al’s version of Truth (iirc, all Truths are the same, they just take different forms). I never see anyone mention this in the comments of reaction videos or online so I just had to get it out there. The fact they are so nice and sympathetic of Ed here always makes my heart hurt because it just shows us a bit earlier that Truth wants the Elrics to succeed, but they want them to figure it out on their own.

If Toei ever partners with Konami to do a modern remake of Yugioh season 0 I’d actually puke out of excitement but sadly we live in a world where a Yugioh series without duel monsters is unfathomable to most fans so it’s just a fleeting dream sadly. Nonetheless, the idea of a horror style Yugioh series in modern Toei animation is a delight to think about

I feel like if it did really good they could just full on create a whole alternate universe that is more similar to what was originally intended and focused on horror elements. It would be a nice way to honor Takahashi I think, as that was more in line for his original plans for the manga
