And today I made a trans flower! Going to make a pan one next :D
Celia experimented for a while with living origami. They were a great success with everyone, and so were added to the regular rotation of tents, and still appear from time to time. However, they tend to only make appearances in particularly dry climates. Moisture and humidity doesnāt bode well for crisp folds of paper.
But oh, when they do appearā¦a more magical sight is rarely seen. A tent full of everything one can imagine - dancing figures, twirling about of their own volitionā¦musical instruments to serenade them, the notes dancing on the breezeā¦flocks of birds, soaring around the upper reaches of the tentā¦entire gardens of flowers, all emitting the most exquisite of perfumesā¦animals of every description, skittering about, approaching the patronsā¦and each and every one of them is miniature, papery, and perfect. Fluttering softly, the folds of paper sounding like wings, and dry leaves, and the flick of a grand ladyās folding fan. Every knife-sharp fold and crisply creased edge is either white as snow, or black as ebonyā¦
ā¦except for one. The only scrap of color at the Circus - the phoenix. A bloody crimson, itās minuscule wings spread wide and strong, soaring over patronsā heads, seeming to fill the tent, despite being mere inches across. Most assume it was introduced into the tent by a particularly talented rĆŖveur, because of the color. No one really knows for sure. But every one knows that if you see it, it will grant your dearest wish, and everything will be alright.
Itās never alighted upon anyoneās outstretched hand before, though. Not until just now, for you.

Tie fighter āWeāll have to destroy them ship to ship. Get the crews to their fighters.ā I designed this a long time ago (no, not in a galaxy far far away) but it didnāt quite work. The wings needed to be locked into place. Or you had to fold it with foil or another material that would stay put. Now seems like a good time to go back and make improvements. So hereās my mark 2. There are a few tie fighter models out there, but many are multi sheet. That didnāt do it for me so mine attempts to make a tie fighter as simply as possible, from a single, uncut square. This seems to me like the most obvious way to make one, so maybe Iām not the first to do a tie fighter like this. It is quite easy to come up with your own variations of this model. Just change around the wings a little to create Vaderās tie fighter, for example. Folded from a 20 cm square of BOS ābrownā paper. Yes I know itās grey.

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! I know itās been awhile that I uploaded a picture, but as you can see Iāve been working on a project (thatliterallytookmeaboutamonthtomake) ! There are 100 pieces in total, and I made the frame out of foam board because I didnāt want to spend a lot of money getting a nice frameā¦:D but itās only temporary!Ā
