How The Winchesters happened:
During lockdown Danneel, desperate for attention, writes some bad fan fiction.
She shows it to Jensen who, sarcastically, tells her, "Yeah that's great! We should make it into a series with our new production company."
Later, while Jensen is away filming The Boys someone says, "Hey Jensen, congrats on your prequel series being green lit by The CW." Jensen is like "WTF?!" Checks social media, freaks out. Finds out Danneel took him seriously and went ahead with the idea for the show. Jensen tries to stop it, but Danneel throws a hissy fit. He caves, and has to claim he was onboard the whole time. Meanwhile, quite possibly the WORST idea for a Supernatural spinoff ever goes into production.
Yep, that's how it happened. 100%.
You’re giving Jensen too much credit, but, yes the WORST idea for the spin-off and he does it.
Jensen knew what he was doing, the only thing I believe that he didn’t know about was when frozie dropped the tweet. JUST BEFORE Walker premiere
Touche'
Damage control is not one of his strengths.
Did you see they added Tom Welling (Smallville) to the cast? No matter how many out of work CW/Supernatural cast members they cram in there it still won't make it worth watching.
Not worth watching at all, and mushy worming his way into that?? DOUBLE not interested
