You cannot rely on the subject matter alone to make people drool over your photos. Sadly some people do, and people drool over what they imagine the product will taste like. But for me, if the photo doesn’t at least look good, I’m turned off by the food even if it is delicious in real life. 📸 Closeups. Extreme closeups. Jalja2a (the bad messiness) of excessive cheese and sauces and the excessive stacks of food. Non-modified flash photography. Weird angles. Over saturated. Over sharpened. Extreme (and useless if I may add) HDR. Food photography practices that turn me off, which I keep seeing online. . It’s a constant learning curve. I went through it, and I learned.
