earlier I'm playing guild wars 2 and an ingame friend whispers me asking if I want to come do fractals. I'm like yk I could use to do some fractals myself, and I like helping, so let's do fractals. I go join the party and get there and the chat is dead silent. it's me, her, her other friend, and a couple of randos that they pulled in to the party.

so we start and the chat remains silent. which I don't think about much; we're focused on the objective at hand, we're moving through them fast. one of the randos leaves quickly but the other sticks around and we go through a few. throughout, I send a couple messages in party chat: :D, nice, yay, etc. for the most part no one else is saying shit. at some point my friend whispers me "smh" but I don't see what she's reacting to; I assumed someone had fallen off something.

after like three fractals, my friend's friend is like okay that's enough we're done-- and everyone leaves. which I also don't think much about. but a few minutes later she whispers me again to be like "I'm so sorry about that person."

...?

I'm like ah what did they say something? I didn't see....

she said yeah he was really drunk and just started talking about politics. and I go ohhhhhhh.... for context I'm playing a guy that looks like this

so I can kind of anticipate the angle that this drunk guy might be coming at me from.

but somehow I wasn't seeing any of whatever this dude was saying to me. so I check my blocklist out of curiosity and see that the person I have labeled "annoying rude guy in SAB" is online. I'm like I think I had him blocked already.... must be fate....

point being I just find it Really funny the concept that this guy was drunk and getting REALLY mad at me and going off on Alba while I was going :D nice, yay :) gg! and not responding to him in the slightest. my strategy. he may have been an unstoppable yapper but I'm in immovable blocker. and I'm going lalala wheeee in a way that infuriates him

if the pale tree was like my parents you would be getting a new wyld hunt every two weeks but it'd all be stuff like "can you tell me what this notification means" and "do you want this ugly piece of old furniture i've saved for you for years despite your protests." you'd log in to a piece of mail every three days like
