OBI-WAN KENOBI (2022), Part VI
The handmaidens may not show much emotion, but when they do… it’s priceless
Sabé in the feathered gown. A request from @riselioness 🙂
Sorry about the watermark, but I’ve had fan art reposted too many times.
Art tablet, Photoshop, much tea.
REY and OBI-WAN parallels
Obi-wan and Sabé raise Luke and Leia AU 👁👄👁 (a visual representation)

I just realised I haven’t drawn Obi-Wan with baby Luke for the KTAU yet, so here. Have some visual serotonin.
(Don’t ask me why, but little Luke has an attire array of blue pjs)
Kenobi Tano AU.
BABY DAD OBI-WAN! The way Luke’s smiling and holding Obi-Wan’s face! The grey in Obi-Wan’s hair and beard! BABY DAD OBI-WAN!
Obi-Wan and Luke, I caannnoott.
Are you the master of your destiny or a slave to your fear?
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY in PRINCESS of THIEVES (2001) | dir. PETER HEWITT
"I hope this email finds you well.”
How this email finds me:
Rey Kenobi AU. Rey. These are your first steps. | You have the spirit of a true Jedi. | These are your final steps, Rey. Rise and take them.
That time when @tumblingriver and I met in person and she used her mad photography skillz for my engagement shoot. Can’t believe this was five years ago! What happened??
that time two of ya’lls fave SW/Sobiwan authors had our own mini convention in England while I was traveling abroad! (I’m the one in glasses, hehe! Beside me @sobi-fans is no doubt plotting a new plot bunny.) I hope traveling is allowed again sometime soon, because we’re really overdue for more hanging out!
Keira Knightley was asked about being in The Phantom Menace and playing Sabé in a spin-off film or series and while there is not even a hint of a plan for it, I find peace in knowing that this interviewer has at the very least put the concept out into the universe
BLESS the interviewer for asking this, and BLESS Keira Knightley for not having thought about it for twenty years while we’ve all thought about nothing else, yet being such a good sport
This is everything my lil Star Wars shipper heart ever wanted!!
Another Update!
Hi friends and readers, you’re probably wondering why Rising Light hasn’t updated since August. The past couple months have been really emotionally and financially challenging. People I know have died, my work/income is down, the pandemic has affected every last part of my life. I’ve been writing as an escape, but only as I feel like it, which hasn’t been as often. So chapter updates are still coming, but only at a pace that works for me in this super stressful time. I never want to write out of guilt or obligation, but out of love for the storyline and characters. So please keep bearing with me and I hope you/yours are safe and well! Sabé and Obi-Wan will see you again soon :)
Another reason Rey should have been a Kenobi: if you still wanted to have her help redeem Ben Solo, then it would have been a wonderful way of ending the Skywalker saga with one Kenobi saving the Skywalkers where another couldn’t. If Obi-wan didn’t get to save Anakin, then his granddaughter should have gotten to save Anakin’s grandson! It would have brought balance, dang it.
Exactly! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Real life is absolutely steamrolling me right now. Writing is slow... but I’ll be back soon. xoxo!!! Sobiwan forever!
