For his photo project ā3 Glasses,ā photographer Marcos Alberti took 4 portraits of his subjects: one before, and one after each of 3 successive glasses of wine. Source
There is a saying about wine that I really like and itās something like this āThe first glass of wine is all about the food, the second glass is about love, and the third glass is about mayhem.ā I really wanted to see it for myself if that affirmation was in fact true.

15 facts about people with concealed anxiety
1. They donāt hide their anxiety, they hide their symptoms. To have concealed anxiety isnāt to deny having it ā only to do everything in your power to ensure other people donāt see you struggle.
2. They have the most anxiety about having anxiety. Because they are not comfortable letting people see them in the throes of an irrational panic, the most anxiety-inducing idea is⦠whether or not theyāll have anxiety at any given moment in time.
3. They come across as a paradoxical mix of outgoing but introverted, very social but rarely out. It is not that they are anti-social, just that they can only take being around others incrementally (which is mostly normal). Yet, on the surface, this may come across as confusing.
4. They make situations worse by trying to suppress their feelings about them. They are extremely uncomfortable with other people seeing them in pain, and they donāt want to feel pitied or as though they are compromising anyoneās time. Yet, they make things worse for themselves by suppressing, as it actually funnels a ton of energy into making the problem larger and more present than it already was.
5. They are often hyper-aware and highly intuitive. Anxiousness is an evolutionary function that essentially keeps us alive by making us aware of our surroundings and other peopleās motives. Itās only uncomfortable when we donāt know how to manage it effectively ā the positive side is that it makes you hyper-conscious of whatās going on around you.
6. Their deepest triggers are usually social situations. Itās not that they feel anxious in an airplane, itās that they feel anxious in an airplane and are stuck around 50 other people. Itās not that they will fail a test, but that they will fail a test and everyone in school will find out and think they are incompetent and their parents will be disappointed. Itās not that they will lose love, but that they will lose love and nobody will ever love them again.
7. It is not always just a āpanicked feelingā they have to hide. It can also be a tendency to worry, catastrophizing, etc. The battle is often (always?) between competing thoughts in their minds.
8. They are deep thinkers, and great problem-solvers. One of the benefits of anxiety is that it leads you to considering every worst case scenario, and then subsequently, how to handle or respond to each.
9. They are almost always āself-regulatingā their thoughts. Theyāre talking themselves in, out, around, up or down from something or another very often, and increasingly so in public places.
10. They donāt trust easily, but they will convince you that they do. They want to make the people around them feel loved and accepted as it eases their anxiety in a way.
11. They tend to desire control in other areas of their lives. Theyāre over-workers or are manically particular about how they dress or canāt really seem to let go of relationships if it wasnāt their idea to end them.
12. They have all-or-nothing personalities, which is what creates the anxiety. Despite being so extreme, they are highly indecisive. They try to āfigure outā whether or not something is right before they actually try to do it.
13. They assume they are disliked. While this is often stressful, it often keeps them humble and grounded at the same time.
14. They are very driven (they care about the outcome of things). They are in equal proportions as in control of their lives as they feel out of control of their lives ā this is because they so frequently try to compensate for fear of the unknown.
15. They are very smart, but doubt it. A high intelligence is linked to increased anxiety (and being doubtful of oneās mental capacity are linked to both).

this is one of the most important things Iāve ever read tbh because I never knew how to put it into words that other people would be able to understand
Relevant and so important.
One of the most relatable things Iāve ever read. Damn.
Sounds familiar
The art of Gustaf Tenggren for Walt Disneyās Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
This is an incredibly important lesson to learn.
Iām not even going to lie, I judge people, and I judge them hard. if I see a person with some wacky ass clothes on or a girl wearing bright blue eyeshadow up to her super thin arched sharpie looking eyebrows ya Iām judging them because I personally donāt agree with their choices, but I keep my mouth shut and keep my damn opinions to myself because Iām not a piece a shit who wants to put others down. itās perfectly okay to not agree with someones choices, but there is absolutely no reason for you to tell them that you think what theyāre doing is wrong or to tell them that you donāt like how they look or dress or act. THERE IS NO FUCKING REASON FOR IT. stop talking shit and then defending yourself by sayingĀ āoh well iām just stating my opinions!!! freedom of speech!!!!ā youāre not just innocently stating your opinions, youāre being a jerk.Ā

So if a group of people with ethnic backgrounds beat up another person for the sole reason of being white, its not racism? What about during apartheid when white people were stuffed in tires filled when kerosene and set alight? Was that not racism?
I mean, youāre basically trying to goad me as a white person into saying that reverse racism exists, and itās not going to happen. If you want another perspective on this topic, please go elsewhere as Iāve given my opinion on it and donāt feel comfortable discussing it any further than that. If you want to read more discussion on the term or the concept, feel free to research it. There are plenty of better resources out there than the blog of a 22 year old white girl.
Those people were victims of racial prejudice, not racism. Racism is institutionalized. Since white people built the institutions that perpetuate racism to benefit themselves, they cannot be victims of it.
Prejudice is a synonym of racism, I hope you know that.
False. Prejudice is just the hatred of a group or person due to a quality they possess. Racists are prejudiced, but racism is different from prejudice in that racism is prejudice on an institutionalized scale. This could all have been learned by a simple Google search, I might add.
āRacism is different from prejudice in that racism is prejudice on an institutionalized scale.āĀ
The definition ofĀ āracismā according to the Oxford Dictionary:
Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that oneās own race is superior.Ā
Notice how it says nothing about it being on an institutionalized scale. If you have a source that says those exact words,Ā āan institutionalized scaleā, then I may reconsider and take your point into consideration.
Also you said that prejudice was not a synonym of racism. One simple Google search could shoot that belief down as well, and you probably knew that which is why you probably didnāt search it.
You want proof? Hereās your fucking proof.

Source (Iāve also boxed the ones that prove you wrong and right. This source is my favorite because it shows blacks can be a source of racism.)
Source
Go ahead, prove to me that these sources are wrong, biased, racist, written by white males, etc. None of that is going to prove you right, itāll just show how much you want to erase white victims of racism.Ā
Also, what the fuck is wrong with you? You literally said that white people getting burned to death in tires full of kerosene was not racism. Who the hell are you. I fucking dare you to look those peopleās families in the eyes and tell them that their loved ones suffered prejudice, not racism. And who the hell said that those crimes took place in a place where whites are the majority? Maybe it took place in a part of Africa, Asia, or the Middle East where another race was the majority.Ā
I have never seen more racism shit come out of someones mouth than you saying that was not a racist crime. If I burn a black person at the stake in Africa, is it no longer a racist crime because theyāre the majority? Fuck no. Why is it any different when itās a white person? PROBABLY BECAUSE YOUR RACIST ASS BELIEVES THAT WHITE PEOPLE CAN NEVER EXPERIENCE RACISM EVEN IF THEYāRE BURNED TO DEATH IN AN EXTREMELY INHUMAN WAY. GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT.Ā
some people are so fucking stupid
Tyrannosaurs rekt
I like the part where anon asked aboutĀ āracismā, and OP strawmanned it toĀ āreverse racismā just like that.
When I was younger, I wish someone had told me straight-up that not all adults experience āa callingā. That many of them never find particular purpose in a career. That sometimes, their job is just what pays the bills and they have to seek satisfaction and fulfillment elsewhere.Ā
Because as an adult, this pervasive notion that there exists a perfect path for everyone, that people shouldĀ love what they do, and that work is meant to function as a vehicle for fulfilling a personās grand life destiny is not only inaccurate for many of us, it can be toxic.
The ideal is so ingrained that I have to remind myself constantly Iām not a failure because I donāt adore my job, and because Iām not rocking the world with my work. That isĀ okay.Ā
Sometimes, work is just work. There isnāt always a perfect career path, magically waiting to be discovered. There might not be this THING you were born to do. Sometimes, you discover that what you really want to be when you grow up is āpaidā.
when somebody whos generally nice gets upset over the smallest thing then its probably because theyre fed up of getting walked all over all the time and having their feelings and belongings disregarded by other people so next time someone flips their shit because you took a piece of their food without asking or wore a piece of their clothing without permission you should probably apologise instead of saying they have a short temper or theyre too dramatic
THIS IS TOO ACCURATE
Kurdish Warrior WomenFearlessly fighting the evils of ISIS at every turn. Made especially fierce by the knowledge of what ISIS will do to them if they are captured. And made an especially effective due to the fact that ISIS fighters believe that if killed by a woman they will be chastised in the afterlife.
Iām really mad that this doesnāt have more notes. Middle Eastern feminists donāt joke around.
The Kurds are honestly incredible. True freedom fighters.
