still think about @pilindiel ‘s point about how “no one else could handle Kyoya OR Kaoru” because its so true on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Because neither would ever show affection like normal people, but together it works? Like yes, Kyoya is completely obsessed in love with you. Can’t you tell by how he *ignores you for weeks in favor of a business proposal*. He also doesn’t see the use of fluff or affection, so even when he isn’t deep in the throws of being a workaholic, he’s still just…not doing anything directly.

Alternatively, Kaoru will never outright ask for attention. Instead, he’s gonna bitch and moan and create elaborate games and challenges to punish you for not doing it sooner.

But Kyoya likes puzzles, and he likes work. Karou’s challenges also kind of *become* justification for Kyoya being affectionate because they’re hard, if that makes any sense. (Like Tamaki gives Kyoya impossible tasks he can throw himself in, and Kyoya fucking loves it. He’s pissed as hell the whole time, but he loves that too.)

And so for literally anyone else, Karou’s psychological puzzles of validation would be Saw Level torture. But for Kyoya, they’re like foreplay.
