#1. "You aren't stuck in the darkness."
I wrote this article that got published on The Mighty, another mental health blog. I wanted to share with you all some of the things that I have learned that have been the most beneficial for me. -Ari
what the fuck is with men and how they write women taking showers honestly. like all of that back-arching mouth-half-open luxoriously-running-fingers-through-hair shit. straight dudes thinkin girls are like damn-near climax from just being naked, whats w/ that
from now on the only female shower scenes ill accept involve either; a). sitting in a ball on the shower floor or b). standing completely still while staring into the abyss absentmindedly and scratching your ass. anything else gets a 0 and a “see me after class”
Men who do this refuse to conceptualise female nudity as anything other than a sexualised performance designed to titillate them. They feel so entitled to our private lives that they create this horrible, voyeuristic fantasy whereby everything we do (even when completely alone) is about being sexy for them. This in turn informs fantasies whereby they seek to violate our private lives through surveilling us, whereby they see our desire for privacy as nothing but a conscious, coquettish refusal to titillate them. In writing us this way, they deny us our humanity by denying that we ever exist and think and feel externally to them.

i love this!
“Is This Healthy” is a comic that I made for an independent study in which I looked deeper into the idea of health, mental, physical, and emotional as it relates to myself.
This project was extremely personal and I thank any of you who take the time to read it
Bless them. I’ve been there and I am there and I will be there. Being fat often means asking a lot of these questions over and over, even when you think you’ve handled them, finally, once and for all.
I feel this everyday. And yet some of you will say I’m not fat. I’m not but I have grossness under all this. And everyday I have to walk around knowing my clothes are a lie. Listening to people say things are special for me or anyone, it makes me want to punch myself and them.
People are so delusional…thank you angry artist for this. It speaks measures to this fucked up body’s heart.
Thank you

Mirror Marble Cakes By Russian Confectioner Are Just Too Perfect
Literally my life goal is to be this good.
WHAT THE FUCK?! This is food?!!??
*collapses on my king sized canopy bed with lavender satin sheets and goose down pillows in a baby pink silk robe holding an empty (but once full) swarovski crystal wine glass, throwing a maincured hand loosely over my eyes* im in love
I really want to read my book but I also want to watch 87 hours of Netflix and travel the world and and kiss someone I like and sleep for most of the day… And also I have a lot of homework
Dance. Or dance not. There is no try.
I'm gonna miss them.
I’m just going to use this moment to remind everyone that women don’t benefit from publicity from being public with rape allegations.
There is a marked difference between regular attention and the sort of attention women get when they expose powerful well-liked men. Women don’t build careers off of having been raped. They don’t get financial blow backs, and (as happened with ke$ha) they almost always lose if they sue.
Do you know what well known women want when they publicly expose their powerful well-liked rapists?
1. Freedom from the oppression and psychological trauma of silence.
2. Protecting other women, (and sometimes men and children) from becoming victims like they were.
And often times, this is enough for them to find peace.
What they /get/ on the other hand is generally:
1. A deconstruction of their sexual history and moral character.
2. A barrage of rape threats (ironic, right?) and threats of physical violence.
3. A black mark in the entertainment industry. (“Difficult to work with” “not discrete”)
4. Relationships lost from people who they loved and trusted siding with their rapist. (Who may I remind you, is “well liked”)
5. Called a liar over and over and over by girls who are invested in being attracted to their rapist, fans of their rapist, men who are more invested in their own fear of the threat of false accusation– as if visited upon themselves–to concern themselves with any evidence brought forth by any number of women (Cosby is a good example of this)in this specific case, people screaming “innocent until proven guilty” which would be fine except it happens in cases of undeniable evidence such as video, audio and witness testimony as well as general confessions, and people who think that because someone is “nice” sometimes or charitable they can never be horrifying at others.
An experience which can in some cases almost feel more traumatizing than the actual rape itself.
There is so little to gain and such a massive cost for exposing a well-liked rapist that it’s a surprise that it ever happens.
And while I do not think that it’s the best practice to believe every single thing someone says…
Claiming that a woman would /benefit/ from publicity from doing such a thing is just fundamentally, factually, and historically incorrect.

I don’t think this counts as dancing. Or even skipping really. It’s more of an exagerated waddle
So. Let me tell you about the day I took this video. It was the 1 year anniversary of my open heart surgery. It’s about a year old, and I’d say it’s pretty safe to say I’ve improved since then. In case you don’t agree, let’s take a look at some more at my exaggerated waddling.
Waddle.
Waddle waddle.
*rolls across the floor*
Clearly I am immobilized by my own mass.
Oh wait… that’s not it, is it? It sort of seems like the opposite. Almost as though the ability to dance is based on strength, effort and passion and not on being skinny. Strange concept I know, let’s see if you can wrap your tiny little mind around it.
not to mention she wasnt waddling at all.. That was clearly a jete, chasse, and assemble.. not waddling. ballet…
Yo. Professional ballerina speaking here.
Clearly she is performing a saute arabesque, chasse, step-step, assemble devant with arms in fifth.
And as a teacher too, I can’t find much technically wrong with it at all.
Which means not only is she a gifted dancer, she has a wonderful technical foundation that she is executing properly and with lovely mannerism.
Being a ballerina isn’t about how much you weigh. Give me this girl ANY day for a student or dancer to work with. Clearly she has the knowledge and the passion, which means she will be a joy to work with.
Also, for those of you criticizing, you clearly have NO idea how difficult it is to execute a develope ecarte derriere the way she is at the barre in one of her later photos. This takes YEARS of dedicated training, as well as extensive natural facility, such as turnout, which she clearly demonstrates here.
So maybe before you peons thinking you’re masters of ballet judge dancers based on weight, you should actually learn about ballet and technique. Because if you had, you’d recognize that this girl clearly has technique—unlike your basic asses.
💁🏽she is beautiful. She is talented. She is strong. She is amazing. She is inspiring. Anyone that doesn’t see how great she is can unfollow me and go be lame elsewhere.
