btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
I won't necessarily judge people outwardly but not judging them internally is just impossible. My internal monologue is mean as heck and sometimes for absolutely no reason too.
People with psychotic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with personality disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with substance abuse disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with tic disorders are neurodivergent too.
People with bipolar disorder are neurodivergent too.
People with dissociative disorders are neurodivergent too.
Neurodivergence isnât just ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. (Plus those last two also get left out sometimes!) Neurodivergence is anything that affects your brain.
âNeurodivergent people hate loud noisesâ is actually just as valid as a statement as âneurodivergent people have delusions,â âneurodivergent people have tics,â or even âneurodivergent people have low empathy.â
As someone wASPD I donât believe people understand what I mean when I say my boredom is insufferable.
Most people hearing me say im bored think I just donât have anything to do at the moment but itâs not that, even in things that should be âexcitingâ are boring. Itâs a continuous endless of being under stimulated no matter what I do, and anything risky only brings me a rush that lasts mere seconds & disappears as fast as it came, an endless cycle for all of eternity.
So I want to know. Does your sense of empathy exist on a switch? Cause that's how I feel. My sense of empathy exists for animals and people I like. But when I'm irritated with someone, it inverts into a sense of either apathy or sadism depending on the situation.
yeah, actually. I very rarely feel empathy and usually only towards five people on the occasion I do feel it. I can feel sympathy, usually dulled, but still there. I 100% get the switching and when irritated I have a tendency to lash out.
I REALLY NEED TO SAVE MONEY
aspd traits culture is apologizing not because you're sorry, but just to get them to shut the fuck up.

aspd culture is fighting not to roll your eyes every time someone talks about feeling bad over something trivial, like a petâs death in a video game. its pixels on a screen, man, get over it and stop wasting my time asking me to feel bad with you.
â
Me after building a positive reputation for myself and now I have to deal with ppl venting to me because they think I care when Iâd rather pour acid into my ears than listen to them cry abt their trauma for the 12th time.
wow, what a bitchy way to say you don't feel like you're the person they should talk to about this.
This is a post about having AsPD.
It's a joke.
I probably should have tagged it, - I definitely should have put it on my sideblog. - but it's not meant to be taken as directly as you are.
This is just me agreeing with the complaint that, when you can't feel empathy, or emotion, it's annoying to have to take it, because people want to vent to you about THEIR problems. Because I am incapable of caring, unless they're an exp.
Sorry, if I sound mad. I'm not, just tryna explain.
you don't have to take it tho
Unfortunately, you kinda do, if you wanna keep the positive reputation. That's, why I don't try to build positive reputations anymore.
If you build a positive reputation, as a guy who cares, then you can't tell people not to vent to you.
At least not without ruining your reputation.
do you not care? because why would you build a for caring if you don't and don't want people to behave the way they do when they think you care? also you could say, "I'm sorry, but I'm not in the right headspace to be vented towards" as a way to keep the rep and not have people vent.
If you wanna build a reputation as an AsPD'er, you can go, generally, one of two ways:
Positive reputation - You'll have to make sure, that you're not faltering in your "good guy" persona; Act like you care, hold yourself back. - basically make sure to never act like you. - In most cases, you Probably don't wanna mention the diagnosis. Plus, you'll probably be seen as a "normal person", which - depending on, How AsPD is for the person in question - just might be enough to cause a flare. There are no breaks, or holidays. If you're with the group, you've built a pos rep with, you're in character. (This does mean, that you can't tell people, that you're not in the right headspace, because you would have to do it every. Time. Cause you don't HAVE a "right headspace".) Not to mention, that it's fucking exhausting.
However, it has high reward. You learn a lot of info about people, - which you can choose, How to use - you're generally seen as trustworthy, - which can also be used to your advantage - if someone disrespects you, you can probably get them ousted, you get to blend in with the crowd, if you do something unethical it's very likely, that you'll get away with it, you will easier have an in with people, the list goes on.
Negative reputation - Becoming part of a group, will be VERY difficult, and if you do, there will likely be a wall between you and every single other person. Noone will trust you, except for specific tasks. If something unethical happens, you're first on the chopping board, and you might as well be hot pink, How easy it is to find you in the crowd.
This is the low reward option - People will generally respect you, or at least fear you. If you DO get into a group, you will be a necessity. You will likely be seen in a role, that is easier to take as higher. (The craziest, the most agressive, the most unpredictable, etc.) You don't have to hide any part of your nature, and - once you've built your rep - you can take break. It's a mostly idle machine. You can also easily mention, that you have AsPD, as it'll either change nothing, or help the rep.
I'm obviously generalizing. Different pwAsPD will find different benefits, and drawbacks.
This meme isn't saying it's a mistake to build a positive reputation. It's just complaining at the cost.
