somebody help Isaac Lahey.
SPOILERS FOR 03 x 06, MOTEL CALIFORNIA UNDER THE CUT so everyone's screaming and crying about bROTHERS and I am too but I just-- Isaac has a special place in my heart, and you know what? as happy as I am for everyone else, it's overshadowed by the fact that I'm really scared for him. like legitimately. (keep in mind this is all speculation under the cut, too. but it's speculation I feel very strongly about) see there were three werewolf suicides tonight. there were supposed to be, anyway. we had boyd, ethan, and scott all almost succeed in killing themselves, without the intervention of stiles and lydia they'd be dead. that's three. so what's isaac? well, we know where he was. huddling, crying under a bed. having flashbacks of being locked in a fridge. shaking, crying. absolutely, out of his mind, terrified. he's in another world when Lydia lifts up the covers. he wretches, he doesn't recognize her, he doesn't understand. this is the third episode in a row that we've seen him break from reality like this. have him have flashbacks-- PTSD style, terrifying shit. the difference is that this time, Scott wasn't there to save him. he was downstairs, drenching himself in gasoline. we had three near werewolf suicides. this druid-- they don't go above and beyond. they don't try to kill anyone they don't have to. so... why would they target Isaac, when they already had three wolves lined up to commit suicide? they wouldn't. that wasn't the dark druid. that was Isaac loosing it. that was him huddled under the bed, terrified, because of his own episode. we're chalking it up to supernatural instances, to dark druids and pack heirarchy, when the reality is far more simple. Isaac is fucking fraying at the edges, cracking under his own psyche, dealing with the aftermath of years on end of physical, emotional, and mental abuse. and no one is helping him. scott is usually there to help him. yes. I think that's beautiful, and it's always worked in the past. stumbling out of the supply closet with Allison, Scott's there. in the middle of beating Ethan to a bloody pulp (everyone around him screaming, coach shouting for an end), it's Scott's screams that cut above the noise and bring him crashing back to reality. Scott's always been there to pull him back to reality, to ground him, to save him. and this time-- this time he couldn't. he had to deal with himself. Isaac needs something more than that. something more substantial than another kid who can be just as lost as he is. so... I mean, I guess I'm wondering... why are we not worrying about Isaac? why are we not worrying about Isaac Lahey? the mindfucks of this episode? Isaac staring blankly at a television? hearing the reverberations of his father's abuse? imagining himself being locked in a coffin disguised as a fridge? that wasn't magic. that was him and that-- that's way scarier, to me. that the human psyche can create such terrifying images, instill such terror and anguish into its own body... there's a certain horror in that. it's easy to forget that the characters on the show aren't just werewolves-- that they're human. that they're kids. it's easy to forget that the boogyman can be just as human as the rest of us, rather than the man sitting slack jawed, glassy eyed in the moon. but that's been a thing this whole season. the speculation that the murders have been the work of humans, crazed cultists, people who "think" they're dark druids... I just... yeah. someone just... someone please get Isaac the help he needs. someone notice he's in trouble. please. someone help isaac lahey.

I wanted to make something funny but instead I just got a healthy dose of terror and anger from Northern California man and Ray.
After years of pointless murder and drug dealing, you’ve all finally landed in prison. But luckily, you all wound up sentenced together. You had a plan to break out… until someone revealed it to the guards. And well. you know. Snitches get stitches.
