To answer your question… yes. Alphie resents his father for never telling him about his mother. I think even a simple “She’s dead” or any piece of information would’ve helped him find some closure, but he can’t even have that because Regulus is bound by an Unbreakable Vow.

And yes, they had some huge fights about it when Alphie was a teenager.

He also confessed to Harry that he’s afraid of discovering the truth, because it would mean either Regulus harmed his mother (by taking Alphie away from her) or she hurt Regulus by abandoning them or something. Either scenario is pretty awful for him to imagine.
