She reaches out with her empty hand and cups Andy’s cheek, drawing their faces together into a kiss. It’s slow and sweet and so heartbreakingly tender. When they pull apart and Andy stares into those eyes–the same rich gold of a sunset–that are so dear to her, love so intense that it hurts swells up within her. “I’ll love you forever and ever, baby,” Andy whispers. sorry i have 2 add my two cents to the a du mortain bad-at-sex discussion but i think being 'good' or 'bad' at sex ultimately comes down to how well the ppl involved are communicating, how much they all know what they like and are comfortable saying this and giving pointers, how much ppl care about the others involved and wanting to make it good for them vs for themselves, etc.

like. is A out of practice? 1000000%. but also "practice" is a wild thing to think about in the context of sex as a conversation happening between 2 or more parties. what's good for one person may be fucking terrible for someone else with that same partner yk.

all that said i do think they're very nervous Because they are acutely aware that it's been awhile And they love the detective and want it to be good For Them, so i would say A is less Bad At Sex and more Apprehensive And In Their Head

in 2018 (andy's current year), andy is probably too exhausted to have a big birthday party 😔. tina and verda normally take control of andy's birthday parties, so i think ub would find out it's andy's birthday from getting the invite to her party. andy is so busy with agent training, though, so i think they do something smaller than normal: maybe just dinner at tina's (mercifully provided by haley, so no one has to eat tina's cooking) and cake, some balloons and presents. it's a lot calmer than some of andy's past birthday parties have been.

in 2026, andy is turning 35 (if i did my math right)! she's probably either a relatively-recently turned vampire or turning soon. either way, she and farah are having a cake-tasting extravaganza. either she's a vampire and they're having fun seeing how different food tastes after turning (it's so intense and so sweet and kind of gross), or she's still a human and they've got to get in as many different cakes (and types of cakes) as they can before she turns and thinks they taste bad. there's fancy cakes and cheap cakes and storebought cakes and homemade cakes and ice cream cakes and everything. andy feels a little like she's going to be sick afterwards. i don't know if they just travel around buying all these cakes or if they find a place where they can lie and say they're planning an event and need to taste-test cakes (like how you can taste-test wedding cake flavours when you're picking what cake you want for your wedding).

there is, of course, also the small party with friends and family. as andy gets older, she finds she appreciates nurturing these close and meaningful relationships more and more. she still likes having her more casual friendships (they're great people to have fun with and andy still loves having fun), but as her priorities change and as she moves into new and different phases of her life, she starts really appreciating the people who are in this with her for the long-haul.

to start with the second question: if you party like you're in your early 20s, you can still pretend you're in your early 20s 🎉🎉. however, andy has started to notice over the last few years that her body is not quite as forgiving of those kinds of behaviours as it used to be. andy's not afraid of getting old, per se, but i think she doesn't really feel any older than she used to, so it creates this dissonance that's kind of uncomfortable. she's getting closer to ages that she thinks of as being "a real adult", but she doesn't really feel any more like "a real adult".

i think she also starts feeling a little weird about it after getting together with farah, because she's getting older but farah isn't really (she is, but at a scale so slow that andy can't really notice it). so there's this strange, new little insecurity around that.

as for the first question (and to answer for andy where she's at in her current canon timeline): andy is looking forward to kicking rogue supernatural butt and proving that she is the human agent to beat all human agents 💪💪. she's also trying to build up the courage to tell farah she loves her, because she thinks farah might love her too 😬. and it's her first fall with farah, so she can maybe show farah all the fun things that wayhaven does for the autumn season (pumpkin patches and halloween and bobbing for apples and haunted houses, and then maybe christmas once the season changes. all these human things that farah hasn't gotten to really try since she's been with ub since coming to our world).

but really, andy isn't a "plan for the future" kind of person. she rolls with life's punches and takes things one step at a time.
